Though very tough to say, think Pablo may be past it, he will however always be remembered for his great contribution.

Deadwood to move on alongside Pablo would be Casilla, Beradi, Foreshaw with very big questions about Alioski and Roberts, there are also a few of the younger players who will not make the grade.

As this has always been called a transition season we need to strengthen the squad and increase the numbers in the squad.

How many players do we have who will have played 19 or more games by the end of this season. that's not players who have made 5 minute cameos at the end of a game but who have started or played at least 30 mins in a game.
Players who have contributed in 50% of our games
Having a guess it won't be many more than 18 or so. That for me is the bare bones of a squad and we could do with another 6 or seven players able to play at this level in order for us to finish in 6th to 10th position.

Agree0 Disagree0

I read an article the other day that said something like the following about foreshaw 'I can only assume he is a ghost that haunts Elland Road so little have we seen of him' - made me chuckle.

I am slightly of the opinion of Pablo and said so on here, however was just having a chat with a leeds fan who I am working on a film about leeds with and he pointed out when Pablo come on the other day the first five of his passes all found a leeds guy, something that can't be said for many of the others at the moment

Ideal world Pablo would move on but I think he still might have something to offer when looking to unpick that lock which no other leeds player can do quite like Pablo at the moment

one to add to the deadwood list would be Cooper, love what he has done but not prem when push comes to shove.

Totally agree about Coops, yes he has the odd decent game but generally he gets caught out of position regularly. This may not directly result in conceding or even getting noticed by many fans but it does result in others getting caught out by trying to cover his poor positioning. Bit like Dallas at the weekend, he goes walk about then that leaves Ayling not really knowing where he needs to cover. Also with Dallas at RB I feel it hinders Harrison or Raphinha as they are concerned about defending over attacking. Dallas for me does better on the left than the right. Hopefully llorente will be in the centre and Ayling back to RB for the next game.

Obviously I am a huge admirer of Pablo's 💜 huge, vital contribution for Leeds over these past years in goals, assists, influence, determination, desire and leadership.

Even at 35 he is still our best option on the bench and still one of our best creative players in what is most likely his swansong season for Leeds United.

An absolute Leeds United legend, the very best, most influential player for nearly 2 decades possibly longer at Leeds.

Yeah good shout if saying most influential player at Leeds to get better than Pablo you might have to go back to Strachan and chapman that goal (against Swansea I think) was the final spark towards promotion.

Indeed Berm, King Pablo's vital iconic goal against Swansea was indeed the tipping point to securing promotion.

As was Super Gordon Strachan's left foot screamer into the corner of tne net against Leicester in the penultimate game or so of the Champion promotion season of 89/ 90

Both Supreme LUFC Legends 🏆 🏆.

of course both nothing compared to John lukic but then we all know that. sir John has a place on the leeds throne all to himself!

I think Pablo still had a part to play although I also agree he is past his best due to age. The question is whether to play him in the first half to get a lead or in the second where he is more effective against tired legs. I am currently leaning toward first half as sometimes when he comes on its too late.

Pablo has been superb for us. I will never forget his goal at Swansea and the pride on his face when he led us out at Derby. Father Time is catching up with him, but I still think he can make a valuable contribution this season from the bench.
