Wow, and I thought that with Glastonbury only days away we were already into a summer of love!
It's funny to me that anyone who is seen as in any way supportive to Radz is "sycophantic" and "wheeling out frankly tiresome " and " hackneyed" quotes whereas all the anti Radz angry brigade are always the bearers of the absolute "truth that hurts" despite how many times they post the same stuff! It all sounds a bit " four legs good, two legs bad to me"!
Guess what, it's a banter site, we all have different opinions about how the club is being run, coached and resourced. I'll take any of the comments about my posts in that spirit and I hope that you'll all do the same. However "amazing" it is that not everyone shares your views, that's democracy for you! As my Nan always used to say, " If you can't stand the heat, get out of the kitchen! And I love cooking! If that doesn't work, we could always meet behind the bike sheds after school!
I've already said in an earlier post that I think, Radz, Orta, Bielsa and the players all made mistakes in the last year that contributed to us failing to grasp the opportunity of promotion. That said, even despite that and all the criticism that RHC and Wex level at Radz, Orta and Bielsa, we played some great football at all levels, 2nd in under 18s, top under 23s and 3rd the first team! That to me means the current regime deserves another year to show us what they have learnt and what they can do. I'm prepared to give them that time, I've bought my season ticket and I'll be going to every game I can get to at first team and under 23 level to support the team and enjoy the football. That's my personal commitment to the team.
If you are not prepared to give Radz, Orta and or Bielsa, the time, And more importantly if you really believe that the club is being run negligently or fraudulently as RHC and Wex seem to imply, what are you going to do about it?
Personally, I'm eagerly looking forward to seeing some great football again with or without Clarke. I'm keen to see what plans Bielsa has in mind and I'm sure there are going to be a few surprises. We're celebrating 100 years of the club we love, let's enjoy it. If we are a family then that family also includes, Radz, Orta, Bielsa et al just as It includes fans who live all over the world. I would love us to gain promotion in our 100th year, I don't know if we will do it but I think it's achievable, with or without Clarke. But the most important thing to me is we keep on playing the kind of football that gets full houses at Elland Road for the First team and sell outs at Guiseley and Tadcaster for the Under 23s . The people who put the time and money into going to these games deserve that! I'm going to enjoy the year, I hope everyone can do as well. Peace and goodwill to all!

Spanish I still love you as I do all on this site as fellow Leeds bros and still value your posts highly . But after all this as you say is a banter site . Whether you agree or disagree my posts are always from the heart and deliberately designed to stimulate debate with cogent argument as are yours . Yes I’m a little frustrated with the use of MB as a device to shut down debate sometimes . It’s very easy to say well I back MB’s judgement over a given poster’s, as a cheap means of leaving them with no come back . But in actual fact no one here even knows for sure what’s in the great man’s mind .

And the revitalisation of the under 23s, appointment of Carlos, the purchase of under 23 level players. Radz wasn’t involved during any of that? Orta neither? Bielsa going to under 23 games! None of that made any difference at all to the philosophy of the club running through all playing levels! It must have been Bates and MC who did all of that!

I think you'll find the academy pre dates those as well Spanish we were producing great players since the 70s even in the 90s when we won the youth cup.

I don't care who set up the Academy as long as the present keepers enable it to flourish as it has done in the past (there have been many years when not a single graduate made the first team on a regular basis) .

Wex You is having a giraffe. Radz re-opened and reinvigorated the academy after the loon pictured in your avatar closed it down. Not giving Radz due credit because the academy existed in the previous century is nonsensical.

Wex Money has been wasted for sure. Radz is on a learning curve. He doesn't know the game like we do. Let's see what he has in store for us over the next month. If he doesn't cut it, I'll want him to sell. However, I believe he'll buy and loan well this window. The Clarke proceeds will be used correctly in my opinion.

Wex I launched fierce criticism of Radz for his January debacle but it's gone. Why you hanging on to the past? Don't be prejudicial and single out Radz. Prof McKenzie made some errors. Do you want to bash him? Let me assure you Wex lad if Radz don't do the business in July and by that I mean Costa Kent White and I want more quality too I will be equally if not more scathing toward him. We're not at the end of July yet so I'll afford him a second chance. I don't sit on fences bro. Take my word for it.

George is a fair poster, outlined his view at the start of last year, made it clear what he expected in January and was critical when it wasn’t done. He has done the same this summer, totally reasonable.
