Barbet has joined QPR so that's another player we won't be getting.

Shows he his happy plodding on living in capital, mid table at best and can't see it being a money thing as QPR won't be paying big bucks, poor choice from the fellaini, surely better teams must of been interested.

Not sure we were ever in for him. Only ever saw that rumour in certain "rags". Never heard anything from pundits who have contacts within the club or journalists that are associated with the club and have a high percentage of getting rumours correct
If I remember right, he is a right footed centre back or defensive central midfielder
I agree that it sounds a good type of player to have but in all honest we have both those covered, with Jansson and Phillips respectively. I would prefer us to be looking at players that IMPROVE the first team. A left footed centre back perhaps. Then Cooper is cover instead of the new man, and we atleast know he wears the white shirt with pride.

lBilko, that's what my post alluded to. Hence Cooper is relegated to the bench in it.
I don't think Barbet is any better than Cooper (team of the year at the end of the day, no matter what our opinions have been over his full tenure at Elland Road) . So I am saying I would prefer us to look at better class of player, so as to improve the standard of the first team squad even more
In a nutshell:-
Shell all the deadwood
Keep all those that contributed to our great position last year
Sell all the good players that just didn't get a look in last year
Only buy/ loan a couple of outstanding players
Do not buy journeymen to pad out the squad size "just in case"
