I know i have only been away 10 days but i did expect something to have happened when i got back and nothing, zilch, nada. Its not like we don't know what we need, surely we had some one in mind. Seems once again more effort going into youth players with reps at Real and AC Milan while we are scouting serie B and other European minor leagues for first team additions.
I think it will be a tad harder in this league next season with the relegated teams all knowing what is needed in this league and if we are going forward with more or less the same team as last year, which we look like we are, then it will be a struggle to be at the top. Bubs himself said at end of the season that it would be hard for the same players to reproduce the same performance the following season.
I am fully aware of the talent in the academy as i have watched them for the last two decades but we do need experienced players in certain areas if we want out of this league.
Only hope we have some serious loan deals in the pipeline. For me i would sell Clarke for 20 mill if we get to loan him for next season and use money to buy a couple of class players. Would be a shame to lose him but if it benefits the club its a must. Sure some one knows what they are doing so fingers crossed.
