I have been a Leeds United supporter since the 60's and WILL follow them - thru good and bad seasons - FOREVER!

Coming into this just passed season - I did not know what to expect from Bielsa. I had never heard of him - but a quick (internet) study told me everything I needed to know. He was and IS a winner. His style of play, management style, expectations of fitness and playing ability are head-and-shoulders above any of the previous managers/ coaches we had previously employed (recent past only) . I pray that he will bless us with his presence for at least another season - hopefully much longer than that.

This season was a fabulous one - a breath of fresh-air. a return to great football. by a team of players that - without Bielsa - would've beed mid-table fodder at best. Yes - it did end prematurely and not how any of us would've wanted. I wish we could've served up a huge pile of goals against Derby and Frankie L. but it was not to be. This is a game of attrition at this time of the season - and we just didn't have enough fit/ non-suspended players to get us over the finish-line at important times. Injuries were our curse this year. That and a few draws that should have been wins were the points difference we needed to secure auto-promo.

This brings us to next season. Hopefully we have the same manager and a few more players that can make the difference between auto-promo and playoff spot football. We need to dust ourselves off. get-over the pain of defeat. and march on together. for we are Leeds United!

ChiLeeds, this is all well and good, but other Manger have done better, the two that went up and now beaten by an old fart, just goes to show it doesn’t really matter what you’ve done in the past it just paper trail and nothing more other wise we wouldn’t be in this league.

What we (Leeds) have done IS history - but what Bielsa has done for Leeds is improve how we play. exponentially. His methods turned the ordinary into the extraordinary - and the Championship was not ready for his style (maybe they should have watched the tapes more-often) of play. With the possible exceptions of Grayson, Warnock and possibly Monk - we haven't had any decent managers. in addition our teams have been lacklustre. That said - I look forward to next season. and (hopefully) another promotion push.
