****True facts****

1. In the 1400s a law was set forth in England that a man was allowed to beat his wife with a stick no thicker than his thumb.

Hence we have 'the rule of thumb. '

2. Many years ago in Scotland, a new game was invented. It was ruled 'Gentlemen Only.

Ladies Forbidden'. and thus the word GOLF entered into the English language.

3. Each king in a deck of playing cards represents a great king from history:

Spades - King David,

Hearts - Charlemagne,

Clubs -Alexander the Great,

Diamonds - Julius Caesar

4. In Shakespeare's time, mattresses were secured on bed frames by ropes. When you pulled on the ropes the mattress tightened, making the bed firmer to sleep on. Hence the phrase. 'goodnight, sleep tight. '

5. It was the accepted practice in Babylon 4,000 years ago that for a month after the wedding, the bride's father would supply his son-in-law with all the mead he could drink.

Mead is a honey beer and because their calendar was lunar based, this period was called the honey month, which we know today as the honeymoon.

Brilliant knowledge big guy, also did you know the teletubbies catch phrase is again, again. True that!

Again.

Another true fact for you.

Ashley Young is the cheating man’s Stuart Dallas. He’ll dive 100% for you in any position on the pitch.

24 Jun 2021 11:39:13
Should be plenty of time added on at vile games if young and freakish grace the same pitch.

24 Jun 2021 19:01:54
A great choice of words Mg, in your reference to our Jack and Ashley, "GRACE" the same pitch.
"A quality of moving in a smooth, relaxed, and attractive way"
I could not have put it better myself, you really know your football.

I guess some might judge well synchronised diving to be graceful, and if not, at least they might still gain extra marks for degree of difficulty.

24 Jun 2021 22:31:37
Mg said it not me, so he seems to think its graceful.
What you are implying is that he is diving.
It is part of his game, and with his ability he will always draw the foul, just like acting is part of Bamfords game.

24 Jun 2021 23:30:02
Oh deluded Vile Dave the fact that Martyn damningly refers to Cheater Grealish as ' Freakish' more than suggests that his use of the word ' grace ' was ironic for both Grealish and Has Been Young.

Regardless, whether Martyn was simply being more than charitable or indeed ironic,

'grace' is a word one associates with icons such as Cryuff NOT the Vile performing seals masquerading as footballers at your god forsaken club VD 😃.

Dave mate - I, like Baz had spotted the evident deep irony in Mg’s post, and was wondering whether you had also picked up it and were being equally ironic in your acceptance of his ‘compliment’, but your follow-up comment unfortunately (for you at least) would seem to suggest you took it at face value. Your loss mate.

As per my reply to Wacky a few days ago. Acting may perhaps have been part of Bamford’s game, though one action, in reaction to the ridiculous antics of your team following our goal, does not necessarily show a general trait. But if it was symptomatic of a behavioural trait at that point, he is clearly now a reformed character, you should have noted the failure of the officials to award us a penalty against the Saints because Bamford did not go down following a very obvious foul by their goalie.

Conversely, Jack, Ollie, and probably others in your squad during the seasons under Dean Smith have been habitual divers, and it would seem that Ashley Young has been brought in to reinforce your manager’s message that cheats can win prizes and a little bit (no, loads actually) of diving doesn’t harm your bank balance.

25 Jun 2021 08:49:55
Sarcasm Dave, the lowest form of witt fits the lowest form of cheating, thing with bam bam was there was contact. Granted maybe not much but contact never the less. Young and freakish need only to feel a breeze and it looks like they been done be a sniper. Would be a fun night going for a beer with them. How long before the first one fell over?
