Can see the premiership following suit, but have nagging doubts we will get to play the remainder of our games. The fact it looks like the other leagues in the EFL seem to be finalising the abandoning of their season's may have a bearing on what happens with the championship. The mine field will be what happens with promotion and relegation if this is the case. Nothing is guaranteed, some days I feel confident we will get promotion, other days I feel we will be shafted by the FA, EFL and everyone else connected with football in this country.

Good reply Mezzer

. I feel it is THe MOST helpful to Leeds cause that the rest of the Championship season 2019/ 20 is concluded on the pitch in June and July along with the EPL season also likewise, as that would likely be the least contentious and fairest way of settling matters without recourse to any legal action from any club!

I don't see any reason why both the EPL and the Championship cannot be completed on the pitch in June and July . the Germans have shown today that leagues can be completed in the pitch.

EPL clubs and Championship clubs that sabotage and block the restarting of the leagues on the pitch should face sanctions imho.

If the EPL and Championship leagues are simply not restarted them ppg with champions, relegation and promotion for each and every league EPL, Championship, L1 and L2 MUST happen for the integrity of the game. Simply NO to null and voiding and simply NO to a closed shop no relegation no promotion EPL which imho would being tne game into serious disrepute by striking at the very heart of its integrity and fair play

The FA, EFL and EPL need to get a firm grip make strong fair decisions based on the rules, regulations, fairness, reasonableness, situation of leagues already 75% to 80% completed.

It's relatively easy to shut things down as with the lockdown but harder to reverse, with people's fears around this virus. Agree with you Bazooka that the Germans have shown us the way forward to complete this season. Although playing behind closed doors would get the season completed, it would probably only be viable for the premiership due to finances and how much TV money they recieve. I guess we need to watch how the German league pans out for the next few weeks, players staying healthy and virus free is the key. This virus is likely to be around indefinitely in some form so as a society we are going to have to learn to live with it. Football without fans would not be viable long-term, and the game will need to return in order to survive. I wonder if sky sports could transferred their funding from our top league onto the German league for this virus period would we see a different story .

Yea it is a matter of finance for anyone below the premier league. All the testing that needs to be done costs a huge amount of money and not all clubs can afford that particularly with FFP etc.
