Not to sure, think they are looking at U23's to step up rather than spend any money.
Bielsa probably thinks he can get a few of the U23's up to speed, rather than wasting money on journeymen players.
With a few rumours doing the rounds, there might just be a marquee type signing of a forward.
Think we would all like to see a striker and a centre half
Maybe if we are in the race in January, it might not be too late to bring them in.

without a CB to replace ponuts i think top ten will be lucky.
we are only 10% weaker but it is such an important area it will affect our results by far more than 10%
also let's not remember last year there was two teams pre christmas and post christmas and post christmas was top ten results if lucky so that might be what will follow.

this will sound odd but stay with me
i think we are 5% weaker than last season, but last season we fell off so i expect us to be 5% weaker than leeds from jan not from whole season when saiz was a god
also we are 5% weaker but in key area so it will affect us more than 5%. we don't have that goal to chance converter so no improvement there and not weaker for all balls in box, crosses, set plays and general defence and I think that will overall cost us a lot of points over a whole season. top ten maybe just
right now i'd be thrilled with playoffs unless some business is done
its not how great pontus was as he was not a god but he was our only physical defender and now we are maybe the softest touch in the league when we were pretty soft anyway.

I think I get what your saying
You believe that as a centre back
Jansson is 5% better than White, but that 5% is in his height and physicality. Thus any opposition team can now concentrate on physicality and aerial dominance upfront and that will give them a better than 5% improvement I'm that area of their game as there will be no challenge to them in that area
White is faster than Jansson. Better distribution than Jansson. Reads the game better than Jansson. But that's no good if he can't win the contact area

Difference in quality but if the opposition target it it can make a huge difference especially with set plays which we were weak at anyway
True about champman not gifted like viduka or even the amaerican we had mike something from New York but what champman did was effective and for that alone he was maybe our most effective striker but certainly not in the top 100 for talent. sometimes a stump up front or the back can be enough
We need someone like Robert molenar at the back.
