When others questioned that, you said (Jan 31) "It's literally been confirmed by reputable foreign journos that its true and we are in for him. "
Then on Feb 1 you said "Leeds are back in for Zentner, German keeper. "
All of those statements subsequently proved to be false, so the so-called "ITKs" were spouting rubbish.
At the start of the transfer window, I didn't think we'd bring anyone in, but I was wrong because we did get Buonanotte on loan, and none of your precious ITKs saw that coming.
We did also bid for Stand Larsen, who as the club said was a unique long-term opportunity. I think our bid was too high, but whatever they say, Wolves were desperate to sell, and if Mateta hadn't put in a transfer request and forced Palace to look for a replacement we might have got him if the deadline was close and ours was the only offer on the table.
All the other rumours out there were false, probably started by agents looking for a new deal for their clients, then picked up by journos and repeated by everyone else.
There's no such thing as an ITK, they're all just DKs like the rest of us.

Well said JR16 and I think from now on I certainly will be more inclined to take future transfer speculation from so called ITK's posted on here with a pinch of salt because from past experience concerning our owners, 9 times out of 10 they keep things hush hush and no one has any idea on this site or any other site until an official announcement from the club.

That's correct Cheshire. I well remember the shock and surprise from everybody when we signed Raphina. Nobody saw it coming, and some big name clubs even complained that they'd never been aware that he was available. Keeping shtum about proposed deals until all is done and dusted is the best way to get the right man at the right price rather than risk getting drawn into a bidding war.
The only downside for us fans is that it's too tempting to mistake silence for inaction.

There can’t possibly be anyone who can claim to know who we may sign.
Adam Underwood doesn’t even know who to sign, let alone any ITK’s

Post as many rumours as you like, many of us do the same, but make it clear that they are just rumours and, where possible cite the source, and don't present rumours as fact. The people we refer to as ITKs would like us to think that they have privileged access to information that the rest of us do not have, but they almost certainly do not.
If the club want us to know something they'll tell us, and if they don't they won't. There, rant over.
PS keep posting, it's lively discussion and occasional disagreement that keeps this site going.

JR is right Saley, as are you. every rumour is welcome, just drop the "in the know" bit, because they know eff all, and it just winds most people, with a brain, up.
I've known senior people at ER, and even people with access to the very top in the past, and they've all been as useful as chocolate fireguards too.
Confidentiality agreements agogo. But these content creators / influencers/ top posters? Top dog muck spreaders.

I guess as usual opinions and views are divided by individuals perceptions and wishes. The media certainly does not help. For example, some were very disappointed and angry at the lack of incoming. Dome expected it on past performance. Some, like me, are quite happy.
My reasoning being, as I have stated before, I don't like January signings, they rarely work, involve players that are available for a reason and are hugely inflated prices. It takes time to integrate and there are limited games left and finally incoming can disrupt the unit.
It was well advertised by the club we were unlikely to add unless it was a too good to miss opportunity. DF likes a tight squad and let's face it this squad has proved they can compete, everyone was happy in December! I believe it will be fine and the bonus is we will have more funds in the summer.
