Has anybody heard any news on how bad Rodon's injury is and if he'll make the Pool game?

Agree0 Disagree0

No official news but Farke did say ankle was swollen and they were awaiting scan results so not looking good for Joe…Farke has supposedly said that James Justin is an option for. CB.

2-3 week they're saying
Not as bad as initially expected

Saying Joe is a quick healer normally.

They were two bad challenges, especially the second one, which for me was at least a yellow card. If he is only out for only 2 - 3 weeks, that could have been a lot worse. Justin won't let us down.

{Ed025's Note - were they really bad challenges Feath? i thought Rondon was a bit slow to get to the ball and dawdled mate, just my opinion though..

Left his leg in? eh ed.

{Ed025's Note - it was a play for the ball Leodis, Rondon should have been well away if he hadn,t dallied mate..

I didn’t think either tackle were malicious. Leaving a little maybe but certainly not that bad.

Ed - It depends which challenge you're talking about. I might agree with you about the second foul on Rodon (Adingra) , but the first (Brobbey) was a yellow card minimum, to me red, and I cannot understand how the ref and VAR between them could justify giving him nothing at all.

{Ed025's Note - the thing for me JR is that Rondon had the chance to move forward and skip past the challenge, but he delayed and invited Brobbey to make contact with him mate, yes it was clumsy but not malicious imo..

I respect your opinion on it Ed.

{Ed025's Note - just my take Feath mate..

31 Dec 2025 07:12:28
I didn’t think either of them malicious or intended. Both fouls but encouraged fouls imo.

31 Dec 2025 07:14:22
More likely to be 4-6 weeks for Rodon imo.

31 Dec 2025 11:29:43
I would not claim the Brobbey foul was either malicious or intended, but his challenge was very careless, and he ended up stamping on Rodon's ankle after the ball had gone, which to me meets the standard required for a card of some colour.

The video is still there on BBC Iplayer, and I've watched it back a few times, and not changed my opinion. Chacun a son gout.
