Looking towards the game on Sunday against Brentford and I’m getting a little nervous if Farke does stick with the 3-5-2 formation with Namencha now injured which will mean again DCL and Okafor up top.
How long will it be before one or both of these also injury prone players are out with injuries.
It maybe that Farke had contemplated using his old 3-5-2 formation that he used with Dortmund already at the beginning of the season, but on reflection of the evident frailty of our strikers, chose to use them very sparingly, hence the 4-3-3.
If we lose DCL now it will be a complete disaster for us, as much as some believe him to be inaffective, I believe he has similar attributes to Paddy but better. There’s a lot more to his game than some want to believe, I also didn’t rate him when he arrived but I have definitely changed my opinion on him now and I do believe he is vital to our survival this season.
It’s a nightmare situation for Farke, I hope he can avoid these crucial injuries to our already very thin squad.

We should have kept paddy. Poor decision to get rid while golden boot warms the benches instead of topping up the coffers
I think we will beat Brentford. A scrappy game for sure but we have shown we can do it and a big bonus for us is that our goal threats are everyone on the field.
How does a defence prioritise threats when the majority of our team have scored goals?
Imagine trying to defend a corner against us when bijol, struijk, Rodon, DCl, Nmecha, tanaka, stach and even arronson can score.

It think Bamford with his injury history would be lucky to feature in two games this season.
I did like Bamford for what he contributed to the team but let’s be honest he was rubbish at scoring goals.
Also can’t see any sense in one crocked player warming the bench for another potentially crocked player.
We walk on very thin ground with our strikers, praying they don’t get injured is all we can do.
As for the rest of the team contributing with the odd goal, so they should. We need every swinging dick in the field to give their maximum for us to stay up.

Also in my opinion a win at Brentford is extremely generous, our away results are bad, a draw would realistically be a very good result for us.

Well OP if is a very big word! Now if DCL stays fit and scores in every game left as he has in the last 3 he will probably win the golden boot. If. I find that it is less than pointless fretting over anything that is out if your control and I guess that is a big part of supporters frustrations, we can only watch on as things unfold before us.
If DF is as good a manager as you believe then he is paid to deal with and solve these problems when they arrive. He will need help from the board in January to bolster so he can. As for Sunday, I would have said that the results against Chelsea and Pool were generous if predicted, but they happened. The big plus for me was the manner of those performances.

Plus of course mate, changing your opinion on DCL? Blimey, is that not a bit fickle dude? ??? Sorry, couldn't resist!

Vid you can’t expect those recent results to continue throughout this season, it’s simply just not realistic. We are one or two long term injuries away to key players from us falling like a stone in the relegation zone in my opinion.
Our season hangs on a thread and expecting a bounty of reinforcements in January is very unlikely.
Personally i'm keeping my expectations very low and I will be hoping for a miracle for us to stay up. Farke and his players will have to perform well beyond their own capabilities until the last game of the season for us to survive.

The expression of fickle fans applies to us all Vid, you’ll be happy to know that I am no exception. ?.

I'm glad we didn't have Bambam taking the pen against Liverpool else we'd likely have ended up losing.

I think we forget how often Bamford missed the target, he really did miss so many goal scoring opportunities. But rightly so he was praised for his other contributions on the pitch and worked very hard, when he wasn’t out for many months with injuries.

With regards injuries, we all knew our strikers were prone to problems, so why oh why haven't we started to blood young Harry, can't you just see the rubbish will hit the fan and he will be chucked in at the deep end then all and sundry will say see he isn't ready. Sorry guys but Mr Farke should at the least have given him a run out in cups and such.
Everyone says how good he is and can be from under 21 matches etc, is he that good I don't know but good enough old enough either give him a go or he will rot in the reserves, Archie made the step up and Harry is supposed to be even better won't get experience unless he plays a little bit.
