Maresca and Amorin have gone. Rosenoir seems very confident he is the man to change Chelsea's fortunes but he's not the first one to take that job with the same belief. All his predecessors have virtually fallen away because they haven't achieved enough or can't cope with the interference from the owners. We'll see whether he sees out his six and a half year contract. They'll either be a very successful club within a couple of years or he'll be a very rich man.
Solskjaer is maybe coming back as interim manager. Once again, United can't get off the same treadmill.
Liverpool had the right attitude for many years with a succession plan but clubs don't seem to do it nowadays. I hope Keith Andrews succeeds at Brentford as that is passing on the baton.

Nuno is under pressure and the loss at Wrexham won't do him any favours and Thomas Frank is not taking Spurs where they want to be.
So we have Thomas Farke. He's won the Championship after an exhilarating season, is working with a relatively limited budget and has now unexpectedly found a way to make us difficult to play against.
The "bigger"teams chop and change but they usually don't achieve what they want.
I like Farke. He's not perfect and makes some odd substitutions at times but I think he's part of a group that is very united and hopefully will keep us up and stay on to consolidate our position in the Premiership for many years to come.

Don't think Forests loss at Wrexham will affect West Hams manager Dunelm, must have been in a time warp ?.

Thomas Farke? Is that a new manager?

Apparently they are identical twins. Thomas was in charge first 12 games and then they swapped and nobody was none the wiser. One of the mysteries of the world uncovered.

I think the point about hiring and firing coaches in the Premiership is a very valid one.
A coach today in top flight football is the most expendable person at any given club. Although he is paid very well but no where near what some footballers receive, his existence from day one hangs literally by a thread
A football coach’s contract at a club can be terminated sometimes in a matter of weeks with the what it seems, extreme demands by owners and fans.

Personally I find it ridiculous how a coach can implement his ideas to his players and that's quite often, not with the players he has contracted, then get instant results from his barely used methods.

For me any new coach should be given a minimum of two full seasons before being judged and assessed, you can double that amount of time at a elite club.
Sadly in todays climate of instant success, coach’s are left with little to zero time to applicate their methods and nurture a team of players to become a more successful team than they were.

The heavy demands for success at both Chelsea and Man United has proven in recent times that hiring and firing their coach’s simply isn’t working.
Why they can’t see that to me is very curious, Man united have been more generous in the time they have given their managers but I still think it’s not enough, especially at an elite club.

When does it finally sink in when season after season by just throwing what translates, another lamb to the slaughter, that you actually realize that your coach/ manager needs more time to reach success.

For me and I registered this opinion a few seasons ago. Pre Farke I think. A coach should not have a set contract. It should be annually and dependant on realistic games won a points achieved.

I'm with OP on this. The classic example being Sir Alex, who was on the brink of the chop half a season into his tenure. Who knows what might have happened had they followed thro with that.
The biggest jokers right now are the Celtic crew, who didn't even give Nancy enough time to properly educate his players on his playing system.

Ferguson is a rarity. That was one lucky man. And lucky for them. That Dosent often happen.

Didn't say otherwise Aus, but as with Don, it shows what stability can bring. There's a long list if you think about it.
