It's fair to think we should have won that and it wasn't for the lack of trying that we didn't.
Bijol had two headers saved.
Arronson goal line clearance and two assists that didn't materialise.
DCL scored and had one saved.
Amperdu had a shot saved.
Bogle couldn't get his chest to it.
Yes it feels like two points dropped, but let's reframe the perspective a little bit. we are a Leeds team that has made our last five competitors look like crap competition. We scare them, rattle them and unnerve them.
Wind back two months and who would have thought that this was possible?
The positive to take away is that yet again, the fans of our competitors have hand waved away their losses and draws by saying they played terribly. We did that.
We are playing with our heads held high and we should be proud.
MOT.

A good way to look at things Mo!
29 Dec 2025 06:33:16
Agree with all that mot. Now can we do save v pool and Devon. That would be awesome.
29 Dec 2025 08:41:46
Completely agree MOT.
I was fortunate to get tickets for the Chelsea and Palace games, and wow, what a transformation from the games earlier in the season, we now look like a PL team, and not just one to make up the numbers and cannon fodder for the likes of Chelsea and Liverpool.
The turnaround has been monumental and makes me so proud, every player has stepped up and playing well, and for each other.
We still have so much to do, but now it’s in our hands with a team good enough (just need a few more in January) .
Also a big shout out to DF who I said in November needed changing, because something needed to change. He has changed and now showing why he deserves to be manager. Also need to eat some humble pie regarding BA, said he should not be playing, and simply not good enough, well, since DF has altered things, BA has really started to shine, could easily be given MOTM for yesterdays performance.
Another couple of tough games ahead, but the way we are playing, they will be far more nervous about playing us, than we should be about playing them.

Sland unbeaten at home as well which shows that the SOL is not an easy place to visit. Would take an away point all day long.

Whatever magic has turned Daniel Farke into the manager he should have always been, must have been sprinkled on BA as well.
His flicks and passes last game and his runs, crosses and assists in the Sunderland game are simply amazing. He is a new player.
I feel so sorry for the lad for not getting that goal or the Bogle assist. Great goal line clearance by Sunderland but BA did a quality shot.
I hope his head doesn't drop and he keeps on improving. At this trajectory he will be worth £40 million by the end of the season.

Great game from ba but not sure it was a quality shot. Anywhere above 18 inches and it would have gone in.
29 Dec 2025 12:52:41
It was a quick turn and snapshot Aus. It was saved by a defender off of the line and was a great bit of defending.
BA out two nice shots into the box, one where DCL and Okafor didn't anticipate the ball coming in and one where Bogle couldn't get it in the box.

There’s no magic wand in the upturn of our form, spanning from certain players to our coach.
Just hard work, determination and working as a team. That sometimes takes a while before the benefits can be seen.
It’s often fans patience can grow very thin after a short period time when results are not going their team’s way.
Should there of been more patience been allowed for Farke and his players to transform into getting more positive results, clearly at this moment in time the answer would be yes.
It’s very clear to me that the expectations of some of the Leeds United fan base is a lot higher than for example Burnley’s, I don’t think they wanted to sack Scott Parker after 6 or 7 games.
Is that right or wrong is the question for me.

Burnley are Burnley. Prob not a prem club and deserve to be where they are going.
I think if the same tactics and team and subs are continued after four poor performances and or results then questions should be asked. Yep. 4 and questions raised. We had a whole lot more of those and to 75-80% of fan base he was lucky to survive.
I only brought the past banging the drum up cause you did opti.
Now. After a miraculous sudden change in anything and everything that went before, we are doing well and long may it continue.
From a positive Ausman living in the present.

That's a great post OP, and let's not forget that Farke teams usually deliver better returns in H2 too.
One player overlooked for praise after the last 2 is Jaka. Looking very established now, and pinging the ball about like prime Kalvin!

I think my point in this subject is worthy for reflection by perhaps many Leeds fans.
We are definitely not out of the woods yet and as I’ve posted before, we are only possibly two or three simultaneous injuries away to key players from a collapse from our team.
If this happens the chanting for Farke out will return again with little sympathy or understanding of what he has to deal with in keeping this team up this season.
Farke, who has used a 3-5-2 formation with previous clubs may have wanted to start the season like that but learning that he was only going to have two strikers who have a injury stricken past, decided he would have to be more sparring which their game time.
Results weren’t going our way and so he possibly decided to throw caution to the wind and play his 3–5-2 with the knowledge that it all could fall apart for example with the loss of DCL and perhaps Rodon or Amps.
We exist on a tightrope with this ultra thin squad, no matter how good it might look now, some Leeds fans should in my opinion be a little more thoughtful of what Daniel Farke has on his plate this season and don’t expect a flock of quality players winging their way into Elland Rd in January, their maybe a loan or two of players to make up the numbers perhaps, but i wouldn't expect more than that for now.

You’re right Bright, Bijol, DCL and others just needed some time to fit in and gel as the expression goes. Just bleating out that this or that player is a waste of money and time is not properly understanding how things work in football.
Demanding instant success is never helpful and just bolsters my point that some fans are far too impatient.

Omg. Naivety reigns. Enjoy your oblivious views. I just don’t get it. I’m waiting for a bazesque. I told you so. But you do that 10 times a day every day. All hail opti.

I know you don’t get it Aus, it’s why I keep pointing it out.
