Be careful what you wish for with the DF out brigade
Howard Wilkinson got 1 of the loudest cheers at Elland Road, last night, a man who contributed so much to the positive history of #lufc, the last English manager to win the league in 1992, over 33 years ago, unheard of in most other countries, that a manager/ head coach hasn't won their own domestic league in such a long time. Yet Leeds fans that used to attend Elland Road in his last year, 1996, will remember the chants around the ground of We Want Wilko Out.
Back then those fans believed change would result in more trophies, but that never materialised.

The Whites that year had been to Wembley for the League Cup final under Howard, and that was the closest Leeds
came in nearly 30 years. Roll on to today, different times, different expectations, its not about winning trophies
now but staying in the Premier League. They say the numbers are in favour of sacking Daniel Farke, from the pundits, the
press, the fans. Just a thought, change is not always for the
better. Maybe back in 1996, if we could revisit history, Leeds should have stuck longer with Wilko.

The decline of Leeds United had nothing to do with sacking Wilko and that season was absolutely dire with 19 losses - 8 of those coming at ER - and only 12 wins. The Wembley appearance was a silver lining and that's what was played at Wembley for a Villa side who played us off the park after the final whistle.

George Graham was a massive improvement at the time (who led us back to 5th place and a Euro spot in 2 seasons) and paved the way for the success that O'Leary achieved before financial mismanagement caused a swift decline. Wilko was great when he was great but it was definitely time for him to move on when he did.

Think we all would have swapped Wilko's worst season for many of the really bad seasons we have had over the last 30 years.

I think the 16 years of hurt and being lost in the lower leagues is the very reason Leeds supporters are so emotive about their club their team.

Does it mirror, the wider football community, yes it does.

Devon have spent untold billions to try and secure success, titles, but they are living proof that you cannot guarantee success with a cheque book and run the risk of astronomical debts.

I don’t know for certain but but I am assuming guessing the majority of our posters are in the main the older age group and have supported the club 30 years plus.

In which time we have experienced nearly going out of business and if we’re honest far more downs than ups.

So why moan or criticise if the team lose a single game given the known issues in recruitment, funds, and the huge divide between the epl and the championship.

Why not? It’s their right to do so, they’ve bloody earned it, players coaches will come and go but supporters are in it for life!

Sure some people are irritated by it (personally I think live and let live) but don’t read it if it upsets you. Certainly don’t comment and most definitely don’t try to cancel people who do not mirror your own views.

When we lost six in a row. I definitely wanted Farke gone, which has nothing to do with DF but everything to does with the love of my team, fear of relegation and a return to the wilderness the only thing that teally triggers me is any lack of fight and effort and for that reason the Forest Brighton games worried me that our coach was incapable of turning things around.

But he’s had some luck and performed better for which I have praised him, but given my age and it’s my team, I will most certainly reserve the right to criticise if I witness inept management or weak performances going forward.

It’s our right, we’ve bloody earned it!

Post of the year class. My man. See it how it is. No Rosie or misery.
Judge a man on today or last 4-5 games. Not 2 yrs ago etc etc. or surprisingly suddenly changing.
For me. You earn 100,000 plus a year earn it.

That comes with a burden. Pressure.
99% managers get sacked right. Business. Wrongly or rightly.
Fact is. Farke should have gone already imo.
But. Things change. I’d give him two more games to prove how much has changed. Let’s see.

So succinctly put Class, it's like he is saying " I am telling this group what to think and say now, he also now believes he's the main man on this site now

Took a week off, and it's still the same drum being beaten

But Baz was " repetitive " and annoying.

Class you and others as supporters can moan your heads off, you can and you do, nobody is stopping you from having your voice on this forum.

What I don’t understand is when someone like myself perhaps who repels some of the criticisms made, is thought bad of because I am also making my voice heard.

It’s only right and just that someone can contravene someone else’s opinion, is it not.?
Or does it have to be left as sacrosanct as if the message given is the truth above everything else.
God knows I’ve had my fair share than most on here of post bashing of what I’ve had to say on here and quite a a lot of it over stepping the decency line, especially from a pair who are not on here anymore. But it doesn’t bother me and i’ve never taken personally.

You Chris have taken this personally and now respond to my posts with some kind of vendetta like I shouldn’t be posting on this forum at all.
I’m pretty sure if my posts were deemed offensive or like Baz’s just troublemaking, then I’m sure i would of had some stern words from the Ed’s by now.
I don’t post on here to be your mate, I post on here as a Leeds United supporter giving and sharing opinions with others on our club, whether that is agreeing or disagreeing.

I really don’t see what it is about my posts that are so repulsive and offensive to some posters on this forum?

My opinions on our football club is only my opinion, nothing more and nothing less.

12 Dec 2025 10:01:35
Class to add to your post which clearly points towards me, if I had to skip over every post that criticizes or over criticizes in my opinion Daniel Farke’s tenure as our coach then there would be almost nothing for me comment on as nearly every thread has a continual criticism of our coach, it’s literally swamped with it.

Farke is not the perfect coach and does make errors like any other coach does from time to time. Whether you want him to stay or go or change your mind with every game played then that's your choice, but I still have the right to criticize your criticisms of our coach, or do you think I should not be allowed to do that?

12 Dec 2025 10:37:55
Apart from including me in your w-anchor post post last week I don't find your posts offensive in the main

What I do find with you is a air of arrogance and condescension,

Apart from last 3 games, Farkes football in the whole has been dire, yet you trumped him like he was Bielsa 2

I wasn't calling for his head all season, it was only last 5- week or so with Baracus constant inclusion that I called him out

He's dropped Baracus, now suddenly we are better

Do I now come on here, claiming oracle status, like you are doing the last 2 weeks .

It's boring now, the very worst you constantly used on Baz, you can't have it both ways

All the reasoning your quoting for continuing., is the very same whatBaz did, yet you fumes at him

Maybe there's more similarities than you care to admit

I found Baz, fine by the way .

I’d rather make discussions about football but you Chris seem to want to get personal with me by calling me arrogant and aloof!
You don’t even know me yet you feel very comfortable in labeling me.

I’ll discuss football with you and your blinkered view of why Farke had no choice than to stick with Aaronson, who I also don’t rate in this squad, was because he had no other attackers to replace him with. Now that Gnonto is back from injury is the reason Farke has now dropped. Aaronson.
Your ignorance is very impressive by the way.

12 Dec 2025 12:15:13
So that's no mention of calling me a w-anchor, yet I am getting personal?

That's a rather large head scratcher comment, even by your standards OP

I leave it there now, we shall always have our own opinion of 1 another now from here on in

Like I said to you 2 week ago now

It's clearly all consuming to you here now on this site, Farke, Farke, Farke, Farke, Farke

What shall we chat about next week?

Daniel is it ?

And by the way would my ignorance be greater than your arrogance?

12 Dec 2025 12:48:46
You are obviously someone who wants to manufacture a futile argument, I have no future need to respond to your posts as you clearly do not want to discuss football which is my only intent on this forum.
Our discussions on here are dead in the pan as the expression goes.
