Use our rumours form to send us leeds transfer rumours.

I have to say that with the new 3-5-2 counter attacking formation, it does look effective but only in periods as it has shown against Liverpool and Brentford. The weaknesses is that we do lose possession more often and our pressing is affected also whereas with our usual back four we are more comfortable on the ball and our attacking.

Watching the game against Brentford and I did a replay of it, the entertainment value of our game has diminished somewhat, we are more now hustling and bustling our opponents, in all it now appears it’s about making it more difficult for them to play football rather than us playing football.
But when we transform during a match to a flat back four we appear to have more fluidity. and control.

So how does this work for the rest of this season? and will we get found out when making these transformations mid match or whenever?
Certainly for the moment we are creating a difficulty for our opponents, I’m also not sure if this is just a reflex decision by Farke who had all and sundry on his back only recently or is this genius on his behalf and is he adapting to situations and finally becoming a bonafide Premiership coach?

Well as you said OP, doubt very much DF would listen to or be pressured by the fans, so hopefully the latter.

I think first and foremost we have to stop teams playing. Make them uncomfortable and make mistakes. We have to constantly think on our feet. Even if this means multiple changes in formation to suit the game as it unfolds.

I think any coach in the Premiership who feels he has to listen to the fans for advice how to coach his team or be pressured by the fans to make changes that some of them want is not a professional football coach, he may as well be just a greasy German meatball as some have already called him.
In fact there is no point him being at the club if you believe that nonsense.

It appears so difficult for some fans to give Daniel Farke any credit whatsoever, I truly find it hard to comprehend.

Time will tell re farkes credential. As of now as the owners weren’t good enough to find a replacement and stuck by him. We shall see. As of now he is flirting with failure rather than being successful.

I will be interested in your opinion should we get relegated opti. For what it’s worth so far only Alf thinks we will. I don’t by the skin of our teeth.
Can we wait until the end of the season though?
Is it like a marriage with you. Thick and thin. Sickness and health. To death we depart? Or does realism kick in at some point?

Aus. Plain and simple, but not personal, your desire for potential multiple switches in formation in a game, is total pie in the sky and complete twoddle! Never happening. If it did, Farke, or anyone, at any level would be labelled a lunatic.
Yes, formations can be fluid depending on possession, but multiple straight switches? Nah.

Anyone with a lengthy involvement in the game, at playing and / or coaching level knows this, which is why I've taken issue with it.
Again, nowt personal, just pointing it out.

For me Aus it’s very simple, with the quality of players we’ve got, which is not at lot, Farke and his staff who have worked with some of them for two and a half seasons now and after winning the Championship title, is in my mind, the best man available to scrape a survival bid to stay in this league.
As I’ve posted before, if we do survive then is he the best coach to take us forward?, that is the question the 49er’s will have to decide and for me I truly don’t know.
Seeing how this season ends might give us a better picture, but make no mistake Aus, Farke has not got a quality Premiership team to work with, West Ham, Forest and arguably Wolves do.
So I think he deserves for the time being to be given the credit he very much deserves to be keeping us out of the relegation zone, even if it is a small margin.

All the stats would most definitely show that we are destined to be relegated with or without Daniel Farke.
The sad thing for me is that the next time we have back to back losses and we will, there will be another big call for Farke to be sacked again, that my friend is a given.

18 Dec 2025 15:48:43
Aus where do you get that from Farke is flirting with failure?
Bar a couple of games we've had chance to take at least a point!
He's changed formation to help the team and still people calling for his head! In Farke we trust and his Big German SAUSAGE ???.

It’s very simple. Who signed the lot of non quality players, DF being one for sure other teams spent the same as us doing very well. Funny.

19 Dec 2025 08:04:36
Which other teams, who have just been promoted, and spent the same as us, are doing very well Whitey?

19 Dec 2025 08:27:28
Sunderland look at them they may have spent a little more but the point is they got quality.
