Oh dear!
I really don’t care about the cup games as we have bigger fish to fry. However, I really do care about possibly losing to Derby given the manner of the defeat to Newcastle. Thus losing 2 in a row and definitely not good for morale or confidence.
Approaching half time and it’s evident as we on hare are all aware the massive drop off all over the pitch when we are forced to make changes.
There just doesn’t seem to be any ambition from the board to push it and go for it in the transfer market.
No coincidence all the stadium news comes out again as a smoke screen like it did in the summer window.
Scares me to death if DCL gets injured.
And please cash in on the enigma/ false profit Wilfred Gnonto.
He is so so poor, never rated him.

That aged well. But yes, H1 was largely poor.
Big improvement H2, including Gnonto.
And "go for it in the transfer market"? Then what? Get a points deduction next season? So what's the gain?
Don't honestly believe the 9ers have played smoke and mirrors at all. And the stadium upgrade is quite simply just great news coming out as it was approved. Nowt sinister, nowt deceitful.

Well got to be happy with that I would say Dave, took a while for the fringe lads to get into their stride, adjustment to formation et Al, 8 changes and a result, job done, smashing ?.

Plus I have to say, JH was appalling, really, what is the point, we can't play him and no one is going to want to buy him, he is stealing a wage.
11 Jan 2026 15:16:07
Dave, I think you pulled the pin and threw the grenade far too early. It ain't over till its over, and Willy got man of the match.
We are doing great this season, MOT.

Happy to have won the more we win the better for me.
11 Jan 2026 15:26:58
Just to follow up, I think Farke's post match summary was absolutely spot on. Needed patience for 8 changed players to get up to speed, and the team to gel, which they did, and then we deservedly won.
A good run out for them, in the scheme of things.

Harrison put on one of the worst ever shows in a Leeds shirt today.
11 Jan 2026 16:46:47
I hate to slag players, but yeah, Harrison was cack.
11 Jan 2026 17:30:58
Harrison didn’t play well, but it was his first start since August. Gnonto was cack in the first half, again his first start for 14 games.
I watch Derby live at home quite often (as an anti fan) and I feared the worst to be honest; their keeper has been their standout all season and the way he started made me worried.
11 Jan 2026 17:42:52
It did age well, first half in my opinion we were poor, disjointed and didn’t get going.
Credit to Daniel, he changed it for the 2nd half and we looked much better.
On the Gnonto thing, I’ve just never rated him. He’s so inconsistent, petulant and frustrating.
Now no game for a week so can we make some signings please.
11 Jan 2026 18:53:30
RE Willy Dave, I have to say I love him. In fairness he has had his problems but got his head down, stayed loyal, is obviously totally committed to LUFC if you watch his reactions, application. Gets my vote every time and I think he could be immense for us, there is a very talented player in there.
11 Jan 2026 19:56:56
Still only 22, and still relatively inexperienced. He'll always have the physical hurdle to overcome, but used his brains in the second half to do so, dropping off his marker more. We'd regret it if we let Gnonto go.
Ani. Yes JH hasn't much game time, but he trains everyday.
Rustiness is understandable under the circumstances, but an inability to execute the very basics most certainly is not. He looked like a player waiting for a contract termination, and a shadow of the player who was so valued under Bielsa.
11 Jan 2026 21:21:21
That’s JH Bright! It’s odd, when he was on loan to us, I thought he was on the cusp of an England call up. Since we signed him, he’s never been able to do the basics and he was no better at Everton.
{Ed025's Note - he was awful at Everton Ani, all the supporters could not believe how often he was picked mate, £90k a week as well...you could get a proper player for that..

Willy Gnonto I feel still has a lot offer if he keeps working hard. Mancini when he was head coach for Italy saw the potential in Gnonto and gave him starts for the national team.
I think he needs more game time to improve himself, I hope they give him that opportunity like they did with Aaronson.
Harrison should’ve never come back to the club, his heart is not in it and it shows.
I’ll be amazed if he’s not gone in the summer.
For him his level is most definitely in the Championship, not a natural talent but can work hard.
His days at Leeds are well over.
