Some fair points there Dave. Possibly too early to be coming to sweeping conclusions but I fear much of what you say is true.

Well Dave0123, with some good points within I can see what you are saying, but…
First of all if DJ is not strong enough for the Premiership then I don’t see how Ramazani is, or for that matter Gnonto!, they are more or less the same size with the same skill except DJ is faster!
Then if Struik is not up to it then that is worrying as I thought he played well and he was our only goal threat from corners and set pieces just like last season!
I agree on Piroe but if he was up there with DCL and Nmecha then they still would not of scored because there was no service to score from!
We desperately missed Amps and I totally agree with your comments regarding Gruev, for me that was a huge mistake from DF, Gruev should be sold and Longstaff should have filled that gap!
We are 2 games in, our win against Everton was a good win and after Everton’s win against Brighton today shows how competitive this league is and it also proves how much of a good performance that was by us.
I do think your comments about the Everton game was wrong, but that does not mean I’m right Dave!
Finally we are now in The Premiership, we are learning and hopefully learning from our defeats. DF can only be as good as he can do, and if he isn’t Premiership level he will be caught out very soon, I can’t see the 49ers putting up with many more results like Saturday’s.
As for us fans we have to believe and it’s going to be a few seasons before we can consider ourselves as established at this level. There’s a hard slog on its way, but it’s what we have all dreamed of, but the biggest dream is staying there and growing and closing the gap to the top 8.
We as supporters of Leeds United throughout all of our ups and downs have to remember where we are. The last 2 seasons, The Premier League has relegated the 3 promoted teams, this season will be different, and hopefully it will not include Leeds, we as fans have to believe that, if we don’t what’s the point ?♂️?♂️

Sorry Woody but have to disagree on Struick.
He was extremely poor imo and I don’t expect him to start against Newcastle.
The first goal he was left standing while the Arsenal players at the back post run past him.
The goal just after HT was also his fault. Why didn’t he usher the big striker outside instead of letting him cut in on his favourite foot?
Pascal I do agree is dangerous from our corners but let’s not forget how poor he was in our last EPL season.,

My issue is we signed Bijol for his Ariel strength yet don’t play him against the best set piece side in the league. This is the very definition of madness.

That’s a fair point Dave about Bijol, I really didn’t even think of him to be fair then I noticed he was on the bench. DF has a hobbit of this doesn’t he, Ramazani, Schmidt, Cresswell, and others, he brings them in then doesn’t use them right!, and good points from Corkey mate as well ??.

Agree Dave, but Struick had a good game against Everton so Farke kept him in. Saying that, I personally don't think he is a first choice PL player. For me he lacks concentration.

Some strong points there Dave. Have to say watching us pass back to and try to play out around Perri was hide behind the sofa stuff, Mes was better! DJ seems to still be on the beach somewhere and yes I totally agree re PS. Why did we make Bijol our primary target then use him sparingly in pre season and not in a match that he would have been perfect for? Yes Rama I find absolutely bizarre. Yes set was never going to work like it did at home and surely Nemecha was a better option than Piroe. Why Gruev rather than Longstaff who has the experience at that level. Many questions to answer but I believe we will adapt and do well whatever happens. Good thought provoking piece mate ?.

Good angles from both of you imo. It really is one of those where there's a strong case on both sides. The only point I would add, and it may be foolhardy of DF to do so, but he couldn't really drop Pasc after his performance vs Everton. He will now i guess. But I also think we need better than Rodon too!
