Gerrard has turned down the rangers job saying "I want to be manager there again, but not yet" (or words to that effect) .
Is he waiting for the heat to die down, or because he knows the owners are clueless?

Aus if Farke gets sacked in the coming weeks, which some would appear to want, then it’s a good option for Rangers. Same employer also!

If Farke misses the mark getting these next few essential wins, he can leave Leeds through mutual consent and manager rangers, which I reckon he will be good at.
We can then pick up Gerrard or Ange or mourihno or whomever else is a top flight, currently unemployed manager.
On a purely business front, it's a win/ win for the 49ers.

apparently the issue with Gerrard was the wages which they couldn't agree on. Rohl the most likely and indeed a potential future LUFC manager.

I’m not sure it would be wages, there’s a possibility of tax implications from the huge wad he’s made in Saudi that for whatever reasons may complicate him returning to the dugout just yet.
I reckon whoever they appoint now, if it doesn’t work out, you might find with the time Gerrard needs perhaps with tax reasons, could still arrive at Ibrox in the coming months.
Nothing surprises me in football these days.
