Don’t believe for one minute we will take 15 points from the next 5 games but every game should be winnable. Important period and could be the catalyst for either being comfortable this season or showing we have big problems losing points to our close rivals. All 5 games are teams currently in the bottom 8.
05 Oct 2025 20:39:40
we have to beat burnley and wetsham . we lose to them and we are in the battle.
06 Oct 2025 06:48:55
We’re going to be in a battle to stay up regardless of those two matches.
06 Oct 2025 07:45:14
We have already dropped much more than I expected. If you say the next 5 are winnable then we should win them.
06 Oct 2025 08:58:23
Aus annoyed we ain’t in top three!
06 Oct 2025 09:11:06
In all seriousness aus how have we dropped many more points than you expected?
We beat Everton which in there form was a good result, beat wolves away from home. Drew with Newcastle who are a top side?
So the loss to fulham a draw maybe? Was you expecting anything against arsenal or spurs?
Even if hoping for draw against Fulham and spurs then that’s only two points, not many is it?
I think it’s just delusions of gradure or self enetitied or maybe stupid anti farke agenda
I think draw against Everton and loss to Newcastle was expected so we got three more points than I thought newly promoted leeds would have
Maybe you need to taper you expectations otherwise this is going to be a long season for us on this forum.
06 Oct 2025 09:22:10
The battle started with the very first kick off! No illusions! We are in the mix, and every point will count. It could yet be that we even look back at scenarios where we now feel we've dropped points, and think it was a good point gained.
The next 5 matches are big opportunities to put a gap between us and the others, but our performances, bar 1, have suggested we have enough, and are good enough to stay up.
06 Oct 2025 10:10:27
Agree bright, it’s about expectations and appreciating where we are as opposed to where we feel leeds United should be.
We are in the mix for relegation but that’s to be expected and if we go down fighting so be it. I can handle relegation it’s the lack of fight and game plan that kills me and this year we have both in abundance.
06 Oct 2025 10:23:05
I don’t like losing berm. Simple.
I don’t like drawing when we should win. Simple.
I like winning.
I reserve the right to complain when we lose or draw. I reserve the right to criticise players and or manager if I feel they could have done better.
Everton lol. With a brand new grealish. Hardly in form.
The trouble with you Rosie’s is that you post on hope and opinion. Not based on fact.
Fact. 1 point from 9 which shoulda been at least 5 probably 7.
Tell me berm. You’re keen on pattens. How does 8 from 21 sound to you? All hunky dory.
There are teams below us that are poor thank goodness. But we are inn the mix. Make no mistake about it.
06 Oct 2025 10:24:54
If we win at west ham and Burnley then we're good for the season.
If we draw, depending on circumstances, we're in a fight.
If we lose or get battered, then a serious rethink of our strategy needs to take place.
06 Oct 2025 10:27:06
Agree re the performances bright. Just the points dropped I’m not happy about. And dare I say the lack of fire power.
Buckle up for a long season berm. I ain’t going nowhere. Unless the grim reaper comes a calling.
06 Oct 2025 11:03:17
Everyone reserves the right to an opinion but as my nan use to say opinions are like a@@seholez everyone has one.
And just because someone has an opinion don’t mean the rest of the world should listen or take them seriously. I remember some Austrian fella who had strong opinions in Germany and he was probably best ignored as well.
Truth is if you like winning have a season off or support Man City.
We are in for a relegation battle so like it or lump it. Most weeks we will lose and rightly so that’s how relegation battles work
The players and the manager are doing the best and what’s expected of them.
I remember during Belisa second season I left the forum as I wanted him gone. Then at the end of the season I said I’m back and we’ll done to Belisa
I suggest you like me do the decent thing until
The end of the season it’s better for all of us and like me it’s what a decent bloke would do.
06 Oct 2025 12:24:49
No fan likes to see his team lose, we all deal and process it in our own way. No one has the right way to do that.
06 Oct 2025 12:45:12
point per game is realistic this season and should see us stay up. we currently have 8 from 7 so performing just above where I think we should be as things stand.
06 Oct 2025 14:26:26
That’s just pathetic bermo. Shame on you.
Only you could reference that. Surprised you didn’t get banned for it tbh.
06 Oct 2025 14:27:24
Very true opti. And hopefully Alf.
06 Oct 2025 14:47:22
Burnley and Wet Spam are definately winnable, Villa, BHA and Forest less so, though Forest without Elanga are not as good as last year, and their managerial turmoil might be a factor. I'd take 5 points from 5, but would prefer at least 7.
06 Oct 2025 15:41:41
Think we need to be taking 10 points from the next 5 personally.
06 Oct 2025 16:41:47
I agree LAD2, if only to quieten down some of nay-sayers, sorry, I mean the "realists! " [oh, the irony of realists constantly questioning our reality! ].
06 Oct 2025 18:47:45
Don’t try and be like that aus and take me out of context.
Shame on me for saying hitler was out of order and shouldn’t of been listened to? Why should I get banned for that? If anything that’s the most true comment anyone has made in this forum. Hitler was destesable and I’m surprised you disagree?
As for no right way to take it. Sorry op but I disagree.
No fan likes losing but as a newly promoted take we should take our performances with pride.
If we start losing to the bottom teams badly or give up fight like under Belisa then I will kick off
But at the moment I’m pride of the lads wearing our shirt and think anyone who disagrees or can’t handle getting beat doesn’t deserve to be part of the leeds faithful.
06 Oct 2025 19:55:53
Unbelievable talk Berm. Aus like us all is quite entitled to air his views as this site gives us that opportunity.
You’ve said many times as you live in south London it’s great to come on here and chat Leeds and I’m sure it’s the same for Aus. And then to suggest he effs of until the end of the season because he may disagree with you is absolutely taking the Michael.
You have been one person on here who has gotten very touchy about what you have perceived to be personal insults on yourself and even asked for those to be banned. Thankfully I don’t think Aus is as over sensitive as you.
06 Oct 2025 20:42:31
Corky aus admitted he got a temp ban because of what he said about me.
He then wheeled out the millwall jibe which is just out of order and out of place.
Now I’ve got a lot of stock over the years on this site for my Belisa and Phillips views which is fair enough. Now I accepted it wasn’t popular and took myself off the site for about eight months until Belisa got us promoted.
Now aus if moaning constantly like I did so I suggested that like me he takes a break from the site which he refused to do.
Getting banned and the millwall jibe for me shows a lack of class, the I don’t accept losing shows lack of realisim (and is something I destest in football fans) if we cheer winning we have to take losing however painful that might be that’s part of being a fan.
Now if he is allowed to air his views fair enough but then my views are his views are so wide of the mark is laughable and his attitude as a fan is embarrassing.
And after his personal and Ill millwall jibe i don’t see why I should not air my views about he’s?
I’d love to know what aus said about me to get the temp ban in the first place?
Also corky aus litterally mentions me getting banned in this thread, do you not see any irony there?
Views are view, disagreements are fine but personal jibes have no place on this forum but then that’s just my view.
06 Oct 2025 21:04:03
Also cork just thought about this, my advice to aus was to do what I did when I was in his position the year we came up? In what world is that taking the Michael
Now as for aus he admitted he got a temp ban due to a comment aimed at me then came out with the millwall comment, both times no apology? And I’m taking the Michael? Think about that cork? Do you still think your post was correct?
06 Oct 2025 21:19:52
I stand by my point Berm.
You are way too touchy. So what if Aus mentioned you n Milwall as you yourself mention them on many occasions. He was only jesting I believe?
Oh Aus did apologise by the way.
06 Oct 2025 21:50:06
He didn’t apologise aus and it wasn’t in jest, aus clearly don’t jest with me otherwise he wouldn’t of got banned in the first place.
Now if you stand by the point that giving someone advice that I took myself is taking the Michael then you clearly either didn’t understand your post or lack the logic to see it through
As for me being too touchy, I have bullies, never stomached them, now aus said something that I took offence too, others in this forum said it was out of order and uncalled for as well, yet no apology
Now I think that’s just bullying. If I genuily upset anyone I’d happy apologise and try and make right. Decent thing to do. But then that’s only my opnion.
06 Oct 2025 22:36:35
I must have missed something but what did Aus actually say?
I thought he just called you a Milwall fan or something similar.
I can see why you’re offended when I think about it.
06 Oct 2025 22:49:32
No worries mate,
If it was a mate or a joke I wouldn’t mind. Ask the people on this forum who know me in person I love a joke and anything personal or even dark (about me) makes me laugh
What I hate is bullies and when people say things in this forum that they wouldn’t get away with saying in person I do find that offensive, when all it takes is a sorry mate I didn’t mean it or sorry I didn’t think it would offend.
I get a lot of internet trolling in my job and I find it either cowardly and/ or destestable.
07 Oct 2025 10:00:26
The whole Millwall thing is just soooo bloody old, and Aus has been here long enough to know that it ain't necessary, and long past funny.
I'd just add that no one "likes" losing, it's about how you react, and bermo is right (imo) : this season more than any we need the performances as the start. The points will, and are coming, on the back of that.
The 2 real site agitators are gone thankfully, so let's try not to create any more.
07 Oct 2025 15:43:39
Great post bright fully agree,
I hate losing it ruins my weekend and after the derby game I genuinely think I hit a state of depression.
I also often the first to call for managers heads but also realistic standards must be needed.
Under Wilko, monk, farke and o dreary until his book lost the dressing room the teams all played with passion and pride and fought for the badge that’s all we can ask
I. The championship we are one of the best in the prem one of the worst. I can accept that but give a big of passion and pride and I’ll wear my shirt with pride if you don’t show that I’ll start kicking off because I’m a very sore loser.
