Does anybody on here actually watch our training sessions?
The vids that I always see shows cardio and stretching mostly. Not sure that is necessary when they are running there socks off most weeks. The starting 11 would def not need cardio or fitness.

Do we practise things like taking corners and defending corners and taking free kicks and penalties. Just wondering how a normal prem training session is structured?

Ausman you can see that’s why we are fit mate, BA especially although he keeps getting knocked by the fans I believe he has a lot to offer us and we should stop keep giving negatives to him.
I would think therea lot more going on then just fitness.

That's a very illuminating post, in terms of where you stand on understanding the game, and exactly what goes on, day in, day out to prepare for matches.

Sleepy Joel Piroe, who runs like a grandad in jeans and Rockport boots, won the bleep test. Remember?

Enlighten me bright. Describe a training session you have physically seen.
Rather than just smut response.

Ausman 2 ?mate?.

Smut? Explain?
And Whitey: for such a woke, inclusive liberal, you're getting quite feisty!? ?
If necessary Aus, I'll give you a full and detailed breakdown of an average 90min training session for adults, U21s or U18s, or even kids.

Any particular strategic focus, or focus development areas? Or just generic stuff for lads who play on a Sunday?
As I haven't done one for 15 years, and my qualifications stalled at what was UEFA B, it may be dated.

If you are referring to clips released by the club and journos Aus I think the generic stuff at the start of sessions is what the club are happy to have out there and probably just warm ups more than anyrhing.

Corners, free kicks etc are more strategic and probably come later in the sessions when media have left. It's unlikely we want to put videos of those out as it could let opponents know what we are planning.

I for one would love to see that Bright. What would an adults 90 min session include and is there usually a certain order for things to happen?

04 Feb 2026 19:59:53
Ausman see what I mean ?.

04 Feb 2026 20:17:12
No, there's no set order, apart from fitness work, and mobility work is at the start, for obvious reasons. At the levels I coached, which included kids upto adults, the previous game analysis and performance would be the driver for the subsequent session plan.

I can throw something together in a few hours, but as it includes sketches / diagrams for drill set ups, would probably have to upload to a generic file sharing system online. I'm sure someone on here has that knowledge?
