In the morning after the day before, and I’m incredibly frustrated! Hang on frustrated, why aren’t I really bloody angry that my week is ruined once again?

As I used to be under my hero Bielsa?

I think it summarises under very nice, very amicable Jesse there really isn’t any passion…we’re not getting thrashed, we have positive passages of play albeit, sporadically, but we shoot ourselves in the foot and lose! (Cue the exact same message from Jesses press conference yesterday)

Therefore, there’s no real expectation of us winning the odd game, likewise we don’t expect an avalanche of goals against us either, as the centre of the pitch is now so packed and we double down on a suspect defence with the very good shield of Roca and Adams.

A trade off for any creativity, flair, or threat on the counter.

We badly missed Adams yesterday (best player to date) but do we think we would have won if he played? honestly I don’t know.

And there you have Jesses team in a nutshell it’s an anti climax it’s underwhelming it’s disappointing rather than blow your head off anger inducing.

But he’s had long enough, too long if we’re honest and we can be hypnotised into mediocrity for another five six games but will anything really change?

I honestly don’t know, I believe we probably won’t be thrashed, but I also believe we probably won’t get many more points before the World Cup break.

Throwing away the lead at Southampton seemed to be a turning point as that dented the confidence that was getting an extra 20% from everyone.

What is pure anger inducing is persevering with Firpo playing Struick at LB when he should be in the middle, getting bamford up to speed in the first team so that to date he’s missed nine expected to score chances so far including that penalty.

Victor must carry the can now, (yes I was wrong, again! ) but that won’t change how we don’t have any funds until Radz sells and I don’t think that’s anytime soon.

So meandering on as we are under Jessee means just more of the same mediocrity, I do believe he’s tactically inept and doesn’t know how to adapt to different situations in a game or make appropriate substitutions or even pick an Italian international in his match day squad but that’s ok he’s a lovely chap!

I do believe the squad is good enough to stay up, we need three players for a very different team a LB a CB and a CF, sadly I do believe we have the worst coach manager in this league ability, tactical nous wise.

So if we keep backing him, we can just go on in a world of meh!

Or we can admit our mistakes and remove the mediocrity. Having watched the academy I honestly believe that Jacko is already a better man manager, coach than jessee is and we would be on six to nine more points if he had been managing this team.

Sadly we do have our very own Ted Lasso parody!

A great post Class - Southampton was a turning point however it could all have turned back on the penalty against Arsenal.
Bamford does not look like a goal scorer this year os I wish he wouldn't rely on him to do so. At least Rodrigo looks hungry, Bamfords runs and hold up play is superb but not when he is the figurehead of our strike force. Even under Bubs when he scored so many he needed so many more chances to get them.

We have needed a CF, LB and CB for two years! The reason we haven't is down to Orta's woeful recruitment.

Mezz is a shadow of last year. Hesitant and makes poor decisions.
Cooper is poor.
Struik out of position cause no investment in decent left lb.
Adams def not our best player thus far. Roca or arronsen for me.
Would have started klich not greenwood.
None of our players are converting enough.
Harrison, Rodrigo, greenwood, ayling, Bamford all missed great opportunities .
I does seem 49ers are having a say in this cause we sacked bielsa for same run of results last year.
Get it done. Grow some balls radz. You own us. Not them.

Great post Class and Aus! All not without hope. Still believe the players are better than this. Pascal, one player who has come out of this with some credit. Consummate professional, gets on with doing the job he’s asked to do! Not the best in the world but determined, might not be quick enough for left back or cb at the very top, and probably not vocal enough to be a captain. Made himself a regular pick in our defence.

I thought the opposite Class, Fulham had huge areas of field to run at us yesterday, it seemed the only place we pressed them was around their box, tbus leaving. massive gaps behind us yet again .

IMO Adams is not creative enough , stopper yes but he doesn't give quality ball, but I not saying he's poor just not going to be high on goal assists etc .

I think it would appease a lot of fans if Orta got the chop, afterall he's also responsible for acquiring the manager,

Let's be honest Victor needs moving on.

Great posts again fellas. definitely agree re Klich ahead of Greenwood! That decision was nonsense!

I thought Greenwood played alright. Klich doesn't give us anything and my heart always sinks when I see him come on.
