Saw some photos of Big Jack at Gordon Banks funeral . Still getting around well, think he will be 84 or 85 years young in May . Must be the oldest of the Revie era team still with us . Good on yer Jack lad!

I saw him on the local news coverage, he's not looking too brilliant to be honest. I'll say it again, time for a statue while he can appreciate it. Our only World Cup winner (yes I know Norm's got a winner's medal)

A statue of Big Jack would be amazing, and well deserved.

A nice thought AL, let's hope it happens.

Totally agree with all above.

How do we set things in motion to get it done?

05 Mar 2019 17:23:43
It would be nice to do something like that while they're still with us!

Remember training with him when we were kids, always good for a laugh and a crunching tackle or two.

Tewit, if you've got Radz, Orta or Kinnear on your phone's contact list?

AL - they willjust read it on here surely?

AL

Strangely enough I don't.

Alf. Of course they will, but will they act on it, and if so where would we put it at Elland Road?

I remember as a lad going to players houses for autographs, back in the day when they were normal people. Lorimer was a gentleman gave it and closed the door, Billy called us cheeky little buggers but signed our books. Wor Jackie took our books signed them then said, Now f##k off and don't come back. Scared us to death but fair play that's what he was paid to do. All of them were Leeds on and off the pitch.

Great memories BIGE.

Great story Bige. Showing your age though!

BIGE

Ignore young Corky the little whippersnapper.

I like to think that us slightly older people are like fine wines, the older we get the better we become. 🍷🍷😊.

A few years ago I saw the great Mick Jones getting in his 10 year old Honda Civic after he had been doing a Legends spot in the East Stand. Compare that to the players cars that were in the West Stand car park, top of the range BMW's and 4 x 4s etc, belonging to some players who couldn't lace his boots. How the times have changed.

Tewit, we're not "slightly older" we're more experienced and mature (ish) 😊.
