Great three points against a very poor hammers who were set up to fail. Bowen a class above much of what was on offer. Totally dominant for most of the game but still hanging on at the end which is a concern. Due to recruitment issues DCL is probably the best we have. He does one half of his job very well ie winning the ball and harassing the opposition defence and creating space for others.
The other half- actually scoring is another matter. Apart from one classic season Bamford had the same problem. Its going to be a tough season but there are some shining lights maybe - an improving Aoronson, Okafor, Rodon and the two full backs seem to be getting their act together. We also have two wingers coming back from injury although I'm not a fan of James in the Premiership.

Was a poor spam.
We dominated the first half. Tried our best to lose the second half
Dcl is worst we have. Piroe, Namecheck and gray better.
Agree re ba, rids, gabby, Bogle, Justin and thought Longstaff was good too.

Great post Hess agree with all you have said.
Was an uncomfortable watch start to finish against an incredibly poor West Ham and I think we won as Nuno made more mistakes than Daniel.
But this is a season that’s ONLY about the points (sadly) but completely understandable given the gulf in playing squads in the EPL.

Perhaps the only aspect which created real discomfort last night, was Jaka trying to play out from the back. Maybe it's just more game time needed, but that appears to be the once thing Pasc has over him.
I also hate this sitting back and cacking ourselves for the final 10 mins of every game! Just pack it in lads, keep the ball, and / or push out! They're experienced enough!

Not sure I agree with you Aussie when you say DCL is worst we have. He's the best header, best gold up play, best pest to annoy the other defenders, best at making runs off the ball to make space for other lu players.
Lastly, maybe a bit unproven or debatable, the best 1st team finisher we have in our squad. Not including Gray as he's not proven at this level yet.
