Maybe opti's mistake was because I'd clarified this media bull about 10 days ago on the rumours page. Barcelona owe us nowt, but owe their government funded loan sharks still.

Its probably a non-starter. Payment terms - in installments are common and these are possibly weighted to heavier payments towards the end of the deal. If Barcelona were out of term or had failed to meet obligations on time they would be in significant trouble. That being said they owe a lot of money not just to leeds so it will be interesting to see if they keep up with the payments. Leeds ourselves will have agreed to pay fees in installments even if this is unusually lengthy.
