Just had lunch with a mate poor fella was in an awful state, distraught. Brighton Season ticket holder for twenty plus years and said Potter best manager he’s seen.

He’s genuinely worried what this will mean for them, only time will tell, think Potter could be England manager before completing his five year contract though.

Incredibly humble man Potter, he actually slept rough for a few nights in all weather to highlight the worsening homeless situation in Brighton.

Brighton had only recently lost Technical Director Dan Ashworth to the Saudis to oversea their recruitment, so a period of considerable change at that club. But it’s a very well run club, and having quickly replaced Ashworth, they’ve hardly missed Bissouma and Cucurella who also departed this summer, so it seems likely they’ll move quickly to get a decent replacement for Potter, and the staff he’s taken to Chelsea with him. Having reportedly received £20m compensation from Chelsea, they’re unlikely to struggle to put together a good financial package for a potential new head coach and staff, to add to the attraction of a decent squad in good form and excellent footballing infrastructure.

As Clu says Brighton are a well run club and seem to recover well / cope from losing good players so likely will too with Potter leaving l.

Potter is decent, whether he will succeed and last more than a few years at Chelsea I doubt, time will tell.

Class I don't know how old your friend is and it may be true that Potter is the best Brighton manager he has seen ( although Brighton league positions far from impressive) .

BUT in terms of achievements I do rate the charismatic Alan Mullery Brighton manager in 1970s (my fave footie decade by far) who had a fair amount of success.

Think you’re right Clu, talk of Bruno as caretaker manager, (no previous managerial experience) but a cult figure full back for the club.

Think the challenge will be if they hit a sticky patch apparently Potter very calm and pragmatic, obviously will not shed a tear if they join the bottom half of the league club.

Mullery very popular Baz, brilliantly funny man, Brighton just opened a new restaurant called Mullerys lucky enough to get in there for Leeds game.

Class, have to disagree mate the England woman team manager should be our next England men team manager why in front of potter.

Booed off less than a year ago after winning 3 in 25 I think.
Think he’s a decent bloke and manager, too good for the “hire em, fire em” culture at Chelsea.

Game of opinions, only time will tell fellas, but great to have an English Manager given a chance with one of the big clubs.

Spare a thought for Billy Gilmour deadline day signing from Chelsea to Brighton and now his new manager has left for his old club.

Class, the Gilmour bit is hilarious! And Baz, that was a brilliant Era of football! Was it Steve Foster, with the perm and head band that captained that team?

Yes Brighty indeed the 70s were!
