If you’re talking about a weak left back playing out of position, dragging two otherwise competent Cb’s out of position repetitively, and then an inept coach, decimating a midfield that was in the driving seat, further exposing our defence to half a billion pounds, including the England captain, worth of attacking slickness and talent, then yes. I saw it.

Two slow wing backs, and no contingency plan.
Any sensible gaffer is going to overload on the right of their attack, as would any sensible gaffer, asking a CB, playing out of position at LB, should have a contingency plan, for said LB being caught out of position.

Marsch has quoted after the match that the defensive problems are not tactical but more about bad luck and individual errors. Well I’m afraid it is his tactical decisions at fault because how did we concede two goals directly after the substitution he made?
I don’t think he can wipe this one away, it’s clear he's deflecting his mistake and it’s a bit of an insult to the fans really. I think I could stomach it better if he just admitted he fu@ked up. I get the sensation that he’s just a desperate man trying to cling onto his job.
I still hope that he can sort this out but my doubts are slowly surfacing.
