A decent enough window overall, but certainly nothing to get overly excited about. The team in general is stronger, but if we consider Aaronson as a midfielder we've only added one forward to the first team, Sinni, but lost 3 first team regulars in Raph, James and Roberts, not to mention not getting that much needed striker. Forget the quality of the latter two, they played regularly, so even though some youngsters in our squad will now get a chance at some point nobody can possibly we are stronger in attack than we were last year. We have made a decent start to the season, but none of the new players have seen a full PL season so we don't know how they're going to be. I know some are over the moon with the window and I love that positivity, but at this point the window is looking like a 5/ 10 to me, hopefully the newbies come good / continue well and that score can be increased, but as our net spend is still zero hope rather than excitement is my stronger feeling today.

Aaronson plays as a winger or 10 so certainly would be the same as those you've mentioned going. Unless you think of Roberts as a striker, in which case I'd say Gnoto will be as effective.

Completely baffles me how we spent zero.
How much did we get for staying in prem league?
We have bought players that are proving to be able but should have whacked $40 mill on decent striker and earlier in window.

25 home matches behind closed doors is about £50M (or more than double that if you’re Everton) , that’s one reason we spent “zero”…no one was complaining last year when we spent £50M without any premier league funds yet?
