Lot of talk about signing Bartley in the close season, including me, and also going for Silva as new manager, definitely not me included. Anyone still think they would have got us as far as Bub, Pontus and super duper Cooper?

agree like bartley he was class but that was past, as for silva he is just not a good manager don't get the hype at all.

For me, there are dangers in anointing Carlos as successor. We still need to see how long and how far the Bielsa story will run. Lots of ifs and buts but with the right investment, I can see Bielsa enjoying the challenge of the premiership and perhaps even the chance of some European football again. By then, it could be a mini Ferguson, situation and perhaps better to be the next but one or two or three rather than to follow him.
He is also very valuable in the role he has moved into this year and losing him from that and potentially from the club if things went bad, could be worse for us.
Could be the solution is somone else that Carlos really trusts and that could trust Carlos to work with him.
But hopefully, that’s a few years down the line!

Maybe Bub's of an age now that he might decide to stay for a long time. I certainly hope so 🙂.

If think if we go up, he will want to stay and see what he can do in the premiership and how far he could take us. If it happens then that will be the time for a real debate on investment and expenditure. Bielsa won’t waste money but need to give him the right level of skill and speed in the right places. Hopefully a debate for the summer!

Bub loves a challenge and he has got a five year one with Leeds. As long as he is backed he will stay.
