I read of our interest in Troy Parrot et al however if we do employ a new striker it will be wasted unless our style of play changes. Our ethos now seems to be Defend! Do not give a goal away and hope we can sneak one somehow.

Alkmaar are talking about breaking their transfer record for a sale that currently stands at €22.5M (£19.9M) . Can we afford that much, and if not who do we sell to finance the deal?

We won't spend £30m on one player in Jan. That's our entire budget. What a signing it would have been in the summer though.

I think it's €30M they're now reported to be looking for, but that's still £26.4M to us!
