I think all managers should be judged on current form. Not their past achievements. That makes no sense.
Just how long that run of bad form is, is debatable.
It would be logical for each game of the season be given an expected points total.

With both Liverpool and Leeds I would imagine that expected total has not been achieved.
I think our form since Tottenham has dipped. We were lucky v spam.

Agree3 Disagree0

Aus, I was with you until the West Spam bit.

How were we lucky? We battered them, we should have scored more, and i don't believe the scoreline was a true reflection of how we played. So a little credit where its due mate.

I agree Aus.

Last season was fantastic and DF’s (current at that time) form going into the Premier League was great, so I was in the camp of him staying as manager.

However, his current form isn’t good enough and I now think we should make a change, which is sad imo.

Scary thing is, I am unsure who is out there and available, and willing to come to Leeds who is good enough to change results with the current crop of players, and will Clownface Marathe and his puppets do anything in January to support?

We dream of the promise land and the EPL, but I’ve enjoyed the last 2 seasons way better than any of the last 23/ 24 years since we played in the Champions League.

Agreed Aus, even to the point of a few games ago, we are lost at the moment and I have a bad feeling about the Villa game. A home game where we have to pick up points but if we play as we have in the last couple we are going to get zero and the same from the next 3 after, in fact it could be epic proportions of spanking.

Be interesting to see how DF sets up because he has to go after a result, being negative at home is the road to disaster.

Is it because Farke is not good enough or is it because the players are not good enough?
Or both maybe?

13 Nov 2025 11:13:31
Both opti tbh.
Totally agree we should have beat west ham by more mot but that’s the fault of our gifted striker.
We parked the bus v spam. When winning. At home mot. Nearly blowing it.

I also largely agree Aus, but got throw something in. If this is true, why are Farke's Norwich escapades still coming into play now, or does "form" extend to the last 8 years when it supports a specific perspective?
Think MG has summed it up pretty well.

I said and think form extends to max two months. Prob more like 6 weeks. If there is an inability to beat teams we should have or were pre season 3 pointers then it’s an off you go.
Think pretty much all of us expected a scrap. Pretty much all of us expected an unpleasant experience. But pretty much all of us said beat the teams at the bottom.

Lose to the better teams or scrap a draw. We were embarrassed by Burnley and played off the park by forest. So that ain’t working. It’s rotten to the core. Poor owners. Poor recruitment. Poor coach. Poor squad. But someone has to pay. And I guarantee you it ain’t owners recruitment team or players.

I read a stat which says since the Premiership started Clubs that changed their manager when they were in the relegation zone, only 43% avoided the drop, that percentage is much lower after December.
I couldn’t find a stat for the last say, five years as the quality of teams in the Premiership has visibly increased and I’d be interested to know the more recent change of manager from the relegation zone, what kind of percentage failed.

Of course as we know already both Leicester and Southampton changed their managers to no avail, same with Sheffield Utd the season before.

Well we will have Wet Sham and Florists to add to those statistics good or bad come the end of the season Op.

Hope your John Wayne walk is less noticeable and the hernia is healing well Pal.
