You're right about going back with a low offer for Larsen as there is little interest or looking at recruiting from Palace. Mateta's an odd one. A lot of talk about him going to Forest but they've already recruited two up front so where does Mateta fit? Guessand looks nailed on to go to Palace so maybe Mateta is off elsewhere? Hopefully we're in with a shout.
One that might have got away is Disasi from Chelsea. Looked as though he'd go overseas on loan but now rumoured to be signing for West Ham. Shame as we need some decent cover at CB as well as FB/ WB.

Purely because of his age, Mateta is not worth the prices quoted. Great talent, but this is his last top level contract, and there's no future sale value attached to him.

Yeah. Get that bright. But nor is Larsen. They need to sell. We don’t need to buy him. I really doubt anybody else will at that $.

TBH i'd rather have a new CB and FB but the priority this year is to stay up and build on it.
I'm not totally convinced by Larsen especially at the inflated price.
Mateta is 28 and may not have much resale value but if he does a job for 4.5 seasons he'll be worth the money.
