I'm in 100% agreement with Staffs. This site should be called Leeds Whingers rather than Leeds Banter. I know we all want the best for our club and the best way to achieve that is to just get behind our team and the management and enjoy our season.

If it starts to look like it's going to be a crap season then that's the time for moaning. On the other hand if it's a decent season let's not spoil it with constant moaning. We would probably all enjoy a more positive site.

I'm well happy regarding this window 6p.
We have England's No1 keeper (in waiting) , and we have Tariq, who I think will be proven to be as good, if not better, than any other CB in the EPL. Plus, we have Elvedi, who is also a proven top CB (both a massive improvement on Pascal) .
We have Wilson (who I have rated for a few years) for nothing, when we were prepared to £30m last year.

We have cover at LB (finally) , and he looks decent.
We have got this speedster from Frankenfurter, who might just turn out to be Rapha Mk 2.
If we secure another striker in the last few hours, it's an 11/10 window for me.
We should all be very positive imo. 👍👍

Oh im very happy assuming Bard and Bahoya get over the line. I'd give the window an 8.5/10. The lack of a striker signing accounts for minus 1, and too many loans/options/obligations outgoing for -0.5.

But Trafford, Muharemovic, Wilson, Zetterer, Elvedi, Bard, and Bahoya are in.

Darlow, Meslier, Ramazani, Piroe, Gnonto, Harrison, Struijk, Gelhardt, Byram are out.

The squad now feels streamlined without feeling outrageously lacking.

If we had a huge injury crisis, you'd back the likes of Lienou, Mills, Cresswell to help until January as true emergencies.

What feels really exciting is that three signings feel genuine starters, three feel competitive squad members (for now) , and Zetterer feels like an unknown a bit. Compared to only Darlow and Struijk feeling like genuinely noticeable exits.

I see we are making a late go at Bohoya? Surely we can’t, can we?

01 Sep 2026 17:54:08
There are rumours around that we are.
It can't be any less likely than two jets on the runway at Lyon, waiting for Fofana to decide whether he goes to Sunderland or Palace.
There's always pandemonium and bizarre events on the last day of the window. A night of surprises.

Loan, with obligation @30m.

01 Sep 2026 18:25:31
Leeds given the go ahead for Willy deal, does this mean we have the replacement?

1

01 Sep 2026 18:33:32
The Italian window closes 4 hours before England, so if they've given the go ahead for Willie to go out on loan, they must be totally confident of getting at least one new signing in.
If not, we're very lean. Too lean.

01 Sep 2026 18:37:52
Done deal apparently.. Oh, what will be the angle now?

01 Sep 2026 18:46:28
You know what's happening here..
Willy will register at Fiorentina only for ours to collapse!!
Fingers crossed, not!

01 Sep 2026 18:49:08
Well, that concludes drama queen day.

02 Sep 2026 04:15:19
No collapse for us, but Chelsea and Everton suffered complete burnouts. 🤣🤣
They're just such Leeds wannabes!

Once again we watch as others are spending crazy money. Makes me wonder why we always seem to be broke. We have spent around £55million net, which is the lowest spend in the league. Something doesn’t add up.

6

01 Sep 2026 17:15:25
Baz Bingo ..house.
See.. So in the end I was right re Leeds spending net the lowest in EPL.

1

01 Sep 2026 17:27:54
Sadly, we're actually the 12th highest net spenders this season, but let's not let facts get in the way of a good moan.

01 Sep 2026 17:32:58
What, Brockers, are you sure?

Mick Joel, you let us down, fella, lol. 😆

01 Sep 2026 17:44:29
All Forest's arrivals just about balance out Anderson, so not even close to last!

3

01 Sep 2026 18:40:14
Your maths, Mickjoel, is the only thing adding up, I'm afraid.

Still, you gave Baz a little flutter, thinking (finally) one of his "predictions" has come to pass.

3

01 Sep 2026 19:13:11
Lol, Ani, very droll, but how so?

As this seez, so far, I have predicted correctly the Forest 0 vs Leeds 1 correct score..

I am on a hot streak, fella.

0

01 Sep 2026 19:49:58
No one argues, you get one right now and then, Baz, a broken clock..

Only this weekend, Leeds 2 Brentford 1?

"We won't buy a striker."

2

01 Sep 2026 20:27:23
Ani, but just a Dan James chipped shot whisker away from it being 2 1.

And I am excited about the potential Bahoya transfer.. hopefully it's completed. But isn't he a winger, not a striker?

0

01 Sep 2026 20:50:54
You're scrambling, Baz.. bit like Leeds at the weekend!

01 Sep 2026 16:32:17
It's just a thought, and my opinion of course, but I very much doubt one person at LUFC from the board down doesn't believe in the project and themselves. Would the 9ers have invested so much on and off the pitch? Would players like JT, Amps, Rodon, Muharemovic, Boges, Gabby, DCL et al committed.

DF and his staff? Maybe we should just trust them and their belief, it's a work in progress and we are progressing. A few years ago we woulda been thrilled to be where we are!

100% Vid. 👍

01 Sep 2026 15:46:05
Ramz is initial loan but obligation to buy.

1

01 Sep 2026 15:45:16
Ramz gone to Burnley. £6.5m plus another £2m add-ons. Initial loan but obligation.

01 Sep 2026 15:33:29
Help me out here.

We have been linked with Bardt but nothing done yet.
But Burnley have managed to agree and medical and sign Ramazani on about 25 minutes!

6.5 obligation. Laughing stock, Leeds.

Have you ever seen a club do medicals so slow than us?
I bet it’s Dr Legg from EastEnders doing it!

Great start to the transfer window, catastrophic end! mleedw need to sign a new director of football.

Underwood out!

01 Sep 2026 16:24:04
Will be obviously disappointed if we don't, which, in reality, now looks more than likely.

But, since we came back up, we have spent 60 million on goalkeepers & a big fat juicy zero on strikers. 🤣 Seems so strange.

4

01 Sep 2026 16:47:12
What Chris said.

1

01 Sep 2026 16:49:49
It's not Dr Legg, it's more like Private Godfrey from Dad's Army with his Boy Scouts medical bag (one for the youngsters there!) .

Forgive me, but why are we chasing another defender?

Have we got our team chart upside down - heavy at the top, light at the back?

What really amazes me is that everyone on here has been saying we need another striker for several seasons now, and yet nothing seems to happen.

Don't get me wrong, great bit of business getting DCL last year, but we definitely need another 'unit' upfront (even if he sits on the bench and only starts cup games) .

Please hierarchy, pull your finger out this evening and bring in a loanee that can do a job for us!

01 Sep 2026 16:55:02
Hull have signed one today, a medical is going on, another is lined up, and they're hoping to get three more done before the window closes. They are moving some out, including Drameh, who's off to Genoa on loan. If they get them all done, it will be 18 new players. It doesn't guarantee staying up, but they seem to be using the Sunderland survival playbook.

1

01 Sep 2026 17:08:59
Yep. Ipswich, Hull, Sunderland and Forest before bought a gazillion new players on promotion and changed their entire teams and squads.

It's necessary as Champo level is pretty much pony.

2

01 Sep 2026 14:49:19
Well lads, not a lot we can do if the club go with what we have, just watch on and support. Positives are the defence is solid and has depth as is also midfield. We all know the weakness but we have options should the need be. Also solid start. Very similar situation and complaints as last summer and winter and we did good still.

Time to give the lads all our support now and credit due for the quality that we have managed to bring in. Alas we don't have the financial room for manoeuvre that other clubs do.

01 Sep 2026 15:12:53
Fair comment that Vid, now time to go onwards & upwards.

4

01 Sep 2026 15:25:51
Fair enough, Vid. Back the team and players if they perform, but owners, etc., need a slap in the face again. Just poor planning. Amateurs.

2

01 Sep 2026 15:59:45
Italian window closes at 7pm BST. Not much time for Willie's transfer to be confirmed.

1

01 Sep 2026 13:15:52
So much negativity on this site, for God’s sake cheer up! We have a better squad than last year with some quality additions. Keep hearing “what if DCL is injured”, well what if he isn’t?
I’m not blind and am well aware that some areas need a boost but we have an excellent squad and have made a decent start to the season so stop carping and get behind the team MOT ALAW.

10

01 Sep 2026 13:29:10
Yeah, but what if he is?

Why take the same risk for a second year?

7

01 Sep 2026 13:30:12
We have a better starting 11 but far from an excellent squad. If you think that you're bonkers.

6

01 Sep 2026 13:50:48
There's also the possibility Dcl and Nmecha both get injured.. at the same time. Then we will all hear some moaning. Unless another striker is actually bought in today.

5

01 Sep 2026 13:58:25
Indeed Corky. In fact, all of DCL, Nmecha, Okafor and DJ have injury histories.

Signing a striker (s) should have always been an absolute must this window.

The 49ers, under their watch as co-owners, oversaw the 2021/22 season when both our strikers, Bamford and Rodrigo, were out injured for long periods.

4

01 Sep 2026 14:00:33
We do not have a better squad. Starting 11 has been improved, but the squad is smaller. We are a key injury or 2 away from poo creek.
Yes, we've moved some dead wood out, but 21, possibly 22, senior players in a squad is not good.

4

01 Sep 2026 14:10:25
There's also the possibility of Nmecha, Dcl and the new striker, if there was one, all being injured at the same time!

3

01 Sep 2026 14:50:18
There's also the possibility that all of our starters get injured, a la Spuds last season. That's when we're up poo creek! All of our new signings could get injured! Everyone who has left could stay fit for the whole season! Alternatively, they also could get injured and sent back? Life is just one big "What if..?"

3

01 Sep 2026 15:13:29
It's if and maybes with a bit of logic and possibility that should be applied. It isn't being.

2

01 Sep 2026 15:17:34
Fair comments, lads. Why do we even bother trying to improve?

3

01 Sep 2026 15:18:13
Game of opinions, chaps, but I'm not bonkers, thank you. My mum had me tested.

5

01 Sep 2026 15:27:05
I'd get a second opinion, staff. Just to be sure, matey. Meds available now. No shame. 👍

2

01 Sep 2026 15:44:23
Need to get back on the Prozac Aus, cheer yourself up a bit

2

02 Sep 2026 07:56:58
Okay. so.
What if Dcl, Nmecha, Okafor, James get injured (pessimistic) .
What if they don't (optimistic) .
Either way, I see why so many on here and on the YouTube channels know we need a striker. Would it hurt to get one on loan, maybe or just for cover with option to buy? Either, and, or. In my opinion, we still need one, and I think it would really stop a lot of supporters thinking twice about commenting on it.

I won't say moaning, because after all we are all here for our opinions and not slate anybody.
Also, I will make a bold prediction here and say we won't get owt in January either. Over the last five seasons or so our Jan window has been P*** poor.
