Disappointed that both Hammers and Spurs won today but they were absolutely must win matches for them (Everton at home and Wolves away are the games you need to win) .
Our must win is next Friday against Burnley - win that and one of them might catch us but not both.
Even if we come away with nothing against Burnley, our destiny will still be in our own hands as we've still got to play both Spurs and the Hammers.
Listening to the Spurs game on the radio today - loads of effort but zero quality.
We'll be okay guys (and we are going to Wembley twice this season!) .

On the nose again there, Cleggy!
25 Apr 2026 17:13:43
Well hold on lads, we are not comfortable yet. Could go down to last game against Hammers. Must win at least 2 of the last 4.

Mathematically, I agree, but beat Burnley, and I reckon it's job done! If that's the case, which I believe it will be, then, to be safe with 3 games remaining, it will be a huge achievement for the club, the gaffer and these players.
As Strachan is quoted as saying the other day, we can't really expect any more than we have got with this squad. They will have done everything they can.
25 Apr 2026 17:03:56
Well, that Friday and Saturday did not go well. Looks like a fight to the last then. Good luck to the lads for tomorrowโs mammoth game ๐.

We are not as safe as some people think.

25 Apr 2026 17:10:23
Indeed, Mighty, Leeds are nowhere near safe, imo..
Not even sure my predicted 43 points will be enough now to stay up.
25 Apr 2026 17:11:07
We're far from safe if we mess up against Burnley.
25 Apr 2026 17:31:03
We are not safe as it stands, lads, but we will be. Have no doubt. UTWDTP.
25 Apr 2026 17:32:18
Don't worry, we in the cup. We are safe as house.
25 Apr 2026 17:52:46
It ain't over til the fat lady sings. We've all got 4 games to play, and it's unlikely anyone will get 12 points, but whatever we get, Sham have to get 4 more and Spuds 6 more, so it's a case of who blinks first.
25 Apr 2026 13:07:33
Can we beat Chelsea, they in disarray and hope Pedro and palmer not fit, tough ask but hopefully
I was 15 when last made a semi and Coventry beat us, devastating. Born in 72, lucky year but don't remember game
For me was always staying up and still so, think we are there now and hope results for spam and spurs go our way.
Be nice for last few games to be a premiership team and then tinker, I'd like to see Buonanotte play a few games ( can't see it) but we definitely need a play maker in MF, could he fit, as of now it's a no but haven't seen him really
I do rate macatee from forest and think he'd be a decent buy as not playing for forest.

We have every chance, Melbourne. Think our name is on it, hopefully. ๐ The 70 finals against Chelsea were brutal, and 72 was joyous. Had just moved into my first lads pad, The Swamp, when we got done by Coventry in 87, heartbreaking!
25 Apr 2026 13:52:00
A week ago I was confident we would beat Chelsea.. a bit less so now after they annoyingly sacked Rosenior before this match..
But still, I think we will narrowly win.
Baz prediction:
Leeds 2 vs Chelsea 1.
Bring on the final.
25 Apr 2026 14:16:26
I felt the same, Baz - Rosenior in charge, it was ours all day long.
Who knows what Chelsea will do tomorrow, now he's gone?
Regardless, here's to a Leeds victory and the final!!
25 Apr 2026 07:32:25.
Throwing out a question for additions next season.
In the very likely scenario we stay up up, what positions would you like addressed?
For me it's a striker, a central attacking midfielder, left winger (DJ too injured for me) , left back cover for Gabby and a new goalkeeper (Perri or Darlow as cover) .
Thoughts?

25 Apr 2026 08:42:23
Agree with all that, Dougie, with ultra focus and money on striker and attacking mid. James needs replacing. Cover for Gabby, as you say. I'd sell Perri but give Darlow a chance. He has done pretty well thus far.
25 Apr 2026 11:16:21
Dougie, you say left winger and then mention DJ, who is a right winger. I think we're better placed on the left with Okafor, and if we want another winger it should be a right sided player. The rest I mostly agree with, though I think Perri has improved enough recently to keep him for now.
25 Apr 2026 12:28:38
"Very likely" scenario, Dougie?
.. We don't beat Burnley, we could still be in great peril.
Our other 3 matches, including at home to Brighton, and 6-pointers away to Spuds and Hammers, are gonna be very tough indeed.
25 Apr 2026 12:59:33
Dougie, if we stay up, Iโd sell a few players and try to bring in cash. For me, Iโd sell Perri, Longstaff, DJ, Gnonto, BA, Piroe, Bournow.
Right, MF, Iโd try to offer Harry Wilson decent cash as he is on a free, he is big mates with the Wales boys and could possibly be tempted.
I agree with you, Rw, CMF, striker and new #1GK and CB.
I would try for Jon Duran for striker, either Trafford or West Ham GK Ariole (good shot stopper) .
Also depends on who gets relegated. If Spam, Iโd try to get back Summerville and think Daisia from Spam is decent.
Quite like Mane from Wolves.
25 Apr 2026 13:22:36
Baz is right, we are still in a relegation fight.
Two bad results today, and Burnley is a definite must win.
25 Apr 2026 17:12:54
And it happened, Canada.. Spuds, West Ham and Forest all won.
Changing their managers has worked for all 3 clubs.
25 Apr 2026 17:22:02
Not really, Baz, they've changed so many times between them that, eventually, they'd get lucky. Even a blind squirrel....
25 Apr 2026 17:29:31
They may have all got it right enough in the end, though, Canada. All 3 staying up just got more likely.
25 Apr 2026 07:24:32
Nothing to play for Sunderland on holiday. That was a spanking. Like to see Everton and Wolves win and I think they both will.

I don't think Moyes will allow his players to embarrass themselves like Sunderland have.
It's a humongous game for West Ham, and I can see them just edging this one for three points. However, most pundits I hear are predicting that first win this year for Spurs.
Wolves can play a lot better than some think.
On the day, though, the tension and anxiety still, I think, will be too much for Spurs, and I believe their fate will be decided and delivered on this game.
25 Apr 2026 09:48:36
Big, big week coming up for all the teams in the bottom 7. I am fairly certain, come next Saturday, we are safe.
Statistically, Newcastle are not quite safe yet either.
25 Apr 2026 10:31:43
Aus, I can see Burnley playing their best game of the season at Elland Rd. They will do everything they can to spoil our party, you can count on it.
25 Apr 2026 12:19:35
Nobody gives us anything OP, I expect, like you, that Burnley will try to waz on our chips.
25 Apr 2026 12:30:55
I agree with OP on this. Burnley will likely bring their best efforts. It's a huge must win game for us, imo. Think we will still win narrowly, but if not we are in doodoo.
25 Apr 2026 12:31:45
Spuds will spank Wolves and win at least 3 of their remaining matches.

Good news.
24 Apr 2026 18:09:38
Lol, yeah Bright, did send a post earlier, which seems lost in the post. ๐ White tops, blue socks, Perri in goal in yellow. ๐
24 Apr 2026 18:21:29
Davey, you mean Darlow in goal in yellow.
24 Apr 2026 18:31:47
Baz, you minxlet, bet it's Perri. ๐ ๐
24 Apr 2026 20:52:33
Perri should have the place in the semi and the final if we beat Chelsea.
There are some things that were apparent from the beginning about Perri. He's big, a good shot stopper, and intimidating in penalty shoot outs. However, he's never been good at distributing the ball with his feet (would rather throw it) , is not good at decision making at times, and has not come to terms with the physicality or pace of the Premier League.
He may not be kept on next season, but if he's kicked off the team sheet for the cup matches, then he's gone. The Club have openly stated we have no confidence in you.
I think that is a bit unfair.
Darlow has performed well and not cost us many points, but I think Perri should be given the chance to come to terms with the Premier League. Looking forward to next season, I'm less concerned about our keepers (you can always upgrade, but KD has been ok) than getting another striker who can hit 15 plus goals, and a good number 10 who can create and also chip in with a few goals. After that, we just need cover or improvement at CB, full back and another top class winger.
25 Apr 2026 02:24:50
I think that the last couple of times I've seen him, Perri has improved from his earlier outings, and I'm cautiously optimistic about his future performances. In his distribution, he's clearly more comfortable throwing, and is good at it, but his kicking has definitely improved, and I'm less concerned about it than I was. I also think he's now coming to terms with the physicality of the PL, and the defenders have more confidence in him.
Whether or not he plays on Sunday, I think he's worth keeping, and I'd be in no hurry to get rid of him and bring in a replacement who may be no better. Admirers of Trafford need to realise that he's v unlikely to come to us, as he's got bigger fish to fry.
25 Apr 2026 07:52:27
I don't understand either the sentiment part that says that Peri shouldn't be given the opportunity to play.
It's not sentiment, it's just that he's played all the Cup games and has done well and should be given the opportunity to play.
For a keeper, it only takes one error to lose a game.
If Darlow is given the opportunity ahead of Peri and makes that one error, like any keeper can, what will the fans say after the game?
Yep, you got it. Should have played Peri.
Cup games are not a 38 game season.
25 Apr 2026 08:45:18
It's and buts, Opti. Darlow is our number 1. We play our A team in the semi final. If it goes to penalties, give him the last 5 min of extra time to warm up.
