Just a quick heads up to those of you who haven't noticed yet, we have updated the profiles for each user on the site. You can access other users' profiles simply by clicking on their name underneath a post they have made. Your own you can check out by going to the 'My Account' section of the site.

The link labeled 'My Recent Posts' will take you to your profile, which has been expanded from just showing your recent posts, so the link's name will be changed. We will also be removing a couple of the links there, as you will soon be able to change it all from the profile page itself.

You can upload a profile picture for your page, as well as having the avatar which displays next to your posts. Both will be displayed on your profile page, along with your recent posts, any profile badges you have won (when they are up and running in the next few days), your ranking in our correct score competition and how you are getting on with our new free to play game, Flat Out Horse Racing.

While on the subject of Flat Out Horse Racing, can I just thank all of you who have been helping us to beta test the game at http://www.footballrumoursbets.co.uk/games/flatouthorseracing.php so far. We are currently working on converting it from flash to HTML5 so that it can be played on iOS and Android too.

We are also going to be setting up a cash prize draw which you can enter by 'buying' tickets using the money you win in the game, as a thank you to those who have played it.

In conclusion not too happy with the result then, Ed? Would you stick with Slot or a change now?

{Ed001's Note - I am honestly not sure. I hate the idea of not giving him time after he won the Prem last time, but his football is dire to watch and is not working. And he keeps going back to it, so it is clearly the way he wants us to play. So I am starting to teeter on the brink of wanting him out, though I normally prefer to be patient and give more time.}

2.) 12 Nov 2025 15:54:32
Ed. Straight swop for Farke?

{Ed001's Note - nooooo.}

3.) 12 Nov 2025 16:51:53
Ed, your comments in your post, if you swapped championship for premiership, you’re also describing Farke funnily enough!
Our sentiments as well.

{Ed001's Note - it does feel uncomfortable but sometimes you have to make a change even when you are reluctant.}

4.) 12 Nov 2025 17:27:49
I think the question should be who would you replace him with if Herr. Klopp for whatever reasons didn’t take the job.
In your mind Ed do you think Klopp would be considered the only viable option?

{Ed001's Note - Klopp is not an option, nor should he be. He was already worn out 2 years before he left. I would go for Iraola.}

5.) 13 Nov 2025 00:50:53
And if I were Bournemouth I'd tell the scousers to go forth and multiply.

Hi Ed001 another great article and blisteringly painful for us Leeds United supporters.

Flops:
Farke - just far too negative with his tactics, giving Leeds no chance. His substitutions were, at best, unhelpful as well. He is woefully out of his depth every time he gets in the Premier League due to his unwillingness to have courage.
Harrison - was run ragged in the final minutes by Hutchinson. Though it is probably only fair to point out that he was playing out of position at full-back.

Wonder if you might consider skipping reviews of our games for a few weeks, unless we score or draw a game of course, I’m sure you’re far too proud to accept financial recompense but knowing we would be eternally grateful should be adequate compensation.

Gallows humour aside Ed get write ups I do enjoy the matchday reviews which are well written and balanced.

{Ed001's Note - thank you so much Class, I really appreciate the kind words. Sorry it is not good stuff about your team at the moment though. It does make the international breaks seem like a relief when things are not going well!}

As painful as it was to read Ed001 sadly I think it’s a fair assessment based on our performance at Brighton.

Thought all the summaries were spot on to be fair.

Flops: Leeds team - I could pick out any of their players, but not one of them were good enough or showed enough fight. Farke - he is showing the exact same inadequacies he displayed when in charge of Norwich City in the Premier League. Far too timid in away games and lacks the ambition to actually send the players out to win.

{Ed001's Note - he does seem to have the mindset where he expects to lose the away and tries to win enough at home to make up for it. Very old school.}

2.) 06 Nov 2025 11:42:27
Agree to ed. It’s not looking good. Tactics all wrong.

{Ed001's Note - the problem you have got is finding better, as there does not seem to be any outstanding candidate to step in.}

3.) 06 Nov 2025 12:10:18
That's exactly my point, too, Ed. It's a real quandary; stick with the devil you know, or chance your hand with someone who is pretty much like for like (exception being tactics etc) and comes with no guarantees to improve things. There's no one out there who would entertain the job, who makes you think results and performances would likely improve?

4.) 06 Nov 2025 12:42:45
My argument is that can they be worse. Even if we snare someone with a bit of nounce. Bit of game plan. Game management or team selection ability. got to be an improvement. It just has to be worth a gamble bright.
I’ve never been settle for what you got typa guy. That’s what kpi are all about isn’t it?

5.) 06 Nov 2025 13:37:08
Think you said previously Brighty you have a coaching qualification?

Bit of harmless fun, who out of all posters would you consider most likely to take the reins from Daniel?

We’ve lost two likely candidates, recently who I’m sure would have definitely put their name forwards?

However, of our current I think I’d go for Alf, he always seems to maintain a calm disposition, is obviously knowledgeable of the workings behind the scenes and isn’t afraid to make a strong statement if he disagrees.

Woody as his assistant although sadly Woidy hasn’t posted for a good while now, hope all is ok.

Martyn for sports and nutrition, another legend who I hope is ok.

6.) 06 Nov 2025 14:03:38
I think Alf is too Leeds management protective. Wouldn’t offer any different. Company man.
Although I do look for his knowledge and insight. Never trust his judgement
Sorry bro.

7.) 06 Nov 2025 14:15:05
Find a PL manager with a better record of 4 away wins in 47 matches

Or 23 points out of 137.

Can't be that hard.

8.) 06 Nov 2025 14:18:45
Don't think I want any Nounces in charge here Aus, think you might have meant Nous.
Nounce is an alternative spelling for Nonce☹️.

9.) 06 Nov 2025 16:42:49
Aus, question for you, bit dated now but do you think the gamble to sack Bielsa for Marsch was a good one in the long run.?
I still believe that Radz should not have pulled the trigger in Bielsa, it would have been a better gamble to of kept him as long as possible in my opinion.

10.) 06 Nov 2025 17:50:12
Alas Ed you are pretty much spot on, a short piece that you probably did well to make that long! It perplexes me when I compare how we have played against the likes of Everton, Wolves, Fulham and Bournemouth to games such as last weekend, there seems to be no middle ground, either good and very competitive or total dross! I can only think it has to be laid at DF's door, surely the whole team can't have an off day in unison on occaision!?

{Ed001's Note - it usually is down to the coach when everyone is off at the same time.}

11.) 06 Nov 2025 18:14:21
I would agree there OP. Think Radz was panicked into the decision and just kept making more bad ones after. Let's face it if the Marsch monster kept them up in all probability so too would have MB. The injuries he had hampering the squad were formidable and he had also warned some of his players were coming to the end of their shelf life but were not replaced.

Who knows for sure but it was a sorry end for a truly great and humble man.

12.) 06 Nov 2025 19:36:33
Farke as always is dealing the best he can with a poor hand.

He has hard bad cards dealt to him every year at leeds and still beat the house. This year I don’t think anyone could of done better with the budget and squad he has been dealt.

For me anyone who sells 120 million pounds worth of players (our biggest ever sales recoup) and still manager our best ever season in that leauge deserves our respect and loyalty. F we go down he deserves the chance to get us back up

Questioning farke is luadarics for what he has done at leeds given the circumstances.

13.) 06 Nov 2025 22:49:31
I don't think that it's ludicrous to question him - yes he got us back to the Pl, but I think there's quite a few managers that could have done that - the real issue is why the huge difference in form. I've said in the past, at some point during the game it's like the whole team gives up and retreats deep into our own half, with schoolboy tactics of just hoofing the ball to safety.

The team did that against the hammers, and almost every away game, and if we continue to so, we will be in the bottom 4 for the entire year. And I don't want us to be another Norwich, villa, burnley on the bounce team. Plus if we go down again, the wolves will be at the door picking the best players .

14.) 06 Nov 2025 23:06:14
My mistake jr
I loved Bielsa opti. But it got to the point we were being trounced by everyone so yes, I did think it was time to go. Just they were useless with their future appointments.
Farke did well in the championship and we played some great football, although I still maintain, last season we shoulda got another 13 points but that was mez fault and partly Farke for not dropping him 5-10 games sooner.

15.) 07 Nov 2025 01:14:00
Tks Aus, glad someone else thinks like me about Bielsa. I loved him to bits, but like too many managers he refused to try Plan B when the rest of the league had sussed out how to deal with his Plan A. Then Marsh came in and kept us up by the skin of our teeth (maybe Bielsa would've done too) and we stuck with him far too long the next season.

To be fair to Radz, he did then try to bring in coaches with proven track records like Slot and Iraola but without success, and we ended up with Gracia, who was useless, and the rest is history.

16.) 07 Nov 2025 07:34:15
Radz was an idiot for sacking Bielsa. There's no excusing it.

17.) 07 Nov 2025 08:07:22
It’s not easy for any coach to turn around a relegation bound team. It’s probable that Slot and Iraola even with their current successes would have failed at keeping us up.
Poor recruitment was our downfall, Bielsa wasn’t given decent players to work with apart from Raphinha and he didn’t stay long.
You can’t polish a stinking turd.

It’s only speculation that says Bielsa couldn’t of turned it around. Surely you can’t be saying that Jesse’’"Monkey dancing" Marsch was a better coach than Marcelo?
I like to think what players we could of attracted in this summers transfer window had Bielsa been at the helm. I’m sure Paixao would’ve signed for us instead of opting for Dezerbi at Marseille.

18.) 07 Nov 2025 12:05:37
OP, you're absolutely right that it's just speculation that Bielsa could not have turned things around, and Marsch was assuredly NOT a better coach than him, just different, and maybe that difference from how other teams expected us to play based on Marcelo's preferred tactics might (just might) have been a factor in our survival - who knows.

I certainly concur that with MB still at the helm we could well have attracted better quality new players in the transfer window based on his high standing in the game.

19.) 07 Nov 2025 13:42:52
Bielsa genius loveable man every second over marsh but. Change sometimes works. Not always. We will never know in this case. It’s enough that 90% of Leeds fans see the man for what he was and loved his time at Leeds.
So why not change Farke. He not working or lovable. Worked with Bielsa right.

20.) 07 Nov 2025 14:55:23
Let’s get Jesse back Aus, he kept us up, just.
As you rightly point out it doesn’t always work to change the coach.

21.) 07 Nov 2025 16:10:15
Would love one day in the distant to see Pablo back as manager.

until the FA confirms it one way or the other, I have to assume it is just the automatic suspension of 1 game for 2 yellows. The FA have yet to confirm it though as their offices are no doubt closed until Monday morning, we probably won't know for sure until then.
