I’ve got a sneaky Mbappe will be at Pool or City next season.

I’d imagine even the most fanatical Spurs fans will want Arsenal to win their next game?
Especially after Leeds thump them at their glorious new stadium!
I don’t normally bet on Leeds but I’ve lumped on a biggish bet at 16/5.
06 May 2026 21:24:27
Yeah Spuds (and indeed Leeds) fans cheering on Gooners next Sunday.. a very rare occurrence indeed!
And, re your Leeds to beat Spuds bet.. We all hope so.. babychams 🍾 on you, Corkey!
07 May 2026 06:53:43
If Arse win on Sunday, we're mathematically safe, but Spuds are not, so they'll have to try to win on Monday, which could play into our hands. It could come down to our final game of the season to decide which of them faces the drop.
07 May 2026 07:36:34
Don't want any Negative Nelly v Spuds. Safe or not. Give em hell.
06 May 2026 08:07:39
Not seen much of Championship this season but just noticed that ex Leeds, Jack Clarke from Ipswich scored 17 goals, not too shabby, would he be worth bringing back?
For me I’d sell James and Gnonto and probably need 2 wingers, I would like Harry Wilson too.
06 May 2026 08:19:34
Defo sell DJ, but I'm still undecided on Willy (phnaar!) . DJ did a great job for us, but won't cut it as we try to progress. WG, for me, is a player who needs full matches to get up to speed, and build confidence, and he's had zero time consistently this seez.
Still a talented young player to come out, and I'd hate to see it at another team.
PS. Where has ILoveKoch gone?
06 May 2026 08:23:46
Would sell James for Clarke, but not Gnonto. However, not sure Clarke is prem quality. Looking for upgrades this window.
06 May 2026 10:29:21
As per usual during the summer we will be linked with 1001 players with none of them coming to Elland Road.
Much like Stach, Gabby and Okafor, we will probably never have heard of the player before. Not that that's a problem, as all three have been successful recruits.
It is usually when a player is from the Prem or the Championship there's often some truth behind the rumour.
I think we will be in for one or two free transfers and Harry Wilson does look likely, as we were in for him before.
As Bright pointed out, Dan James could be on his way out. Not sure what he does for us anymore, as he's constantly on the treatment table, and I'm not sure Farke fancies him cutting it in the Prem. Maybe one of the promoted clubs might come in for him.
Agree with Aus on Clarke, he didn't impress at Spurs and I'm not sure he'd be Premiership quality.
Don't sell Willy.
06 May 2026 11:17:53
Maybe a newly promoted club, Coventry or Ipswich, could be interested in DJ, but he is on a pretty high salary of £60,000 to £70000 plus bonuses a week for 3 more years to 2029.
And, in any case, I would be very surprised if Leeds United sold him.
He isn't going to a Champo club on his contract and salary. That's for sure. 🤔
06 May 2026 11:49:41
What OP said. Don't bother with the click bait, guys, out of the blue is more likely. The only 2 well-advertised early as top targets were Bijol and Stach. Good jobs there.
06 May 2026 14:56:34
If we were playing with wingers, I'd see no reason to sell DJ, as he won't be worth much, and he always has that chance he might do something. However, with the seemingly new formation meaning we barely use them, I see no reason to keep him. If we change mid-match to wingers, then Gnonto would be my preferred option to bring on.
06 May 2026 17:05:07
One standout feature of this season has been Farke's newfound willingness to change formation, sometimes even midway through a match. If we want to change to a formation using wingers, then DJ is an ideal player to bring on.
His pace against tiring defenders is a potent weapon. If it were a toss up whether to keep DJ or keep Willy, then my preference would be to keep DJ, but ideally I'd prefer to keep both.

What JR said 100%.
07 May 2026 07:38:33
Dan The BeverleyBullet James has signed a new contract till 2029.
It was on the Leeds podcast with Bridges & Dallas.
I would keep him, he's been unlucky with injury.

Once the season over reckon we need to run an in house World Cup comp. Maybe predicting last 4 winner and top scorer.
Be nice to see a newbie win it tbh but can't really see one strong enough.
06 May 2026 12:06:36
As soon as I back anyone to win, it will be the kiss of death for them, so at the moment I'm tipping "anyone except England".
06 May 2026 13:04:09
I didn't repost that. Don't know why it showed up twice. Will check if you entered and let you know, Jr.
06 May 2026 14:58:34
Might be worth putting some of the closest predos out there as I don't imagine many had Sunderland not in the relegation zone.

If, the CBs are pretty much guaranteed then do we spend/ gamble big to oust an incumbent or maybe save a couple of quid and buy an experienced back up?
How about a move for Tyrone Mings?
A left footed CB, ex England with a contract expiring 2027 and valued at only 4million.
05 May 2026 19:41:36
I don't think we need to spend big on a CB, assuming we keep all our regular first choices, so buying an experienced backup like Mings could be good business. I really like Senesi at Bournemouth, but he's more likely to be looking for a big name club and be more like £20-30M.
If Wet Sham go down, there's likely to be a bit of a fire sale there, and whilst all the noise will be around Bowen and Somerville, I rather like Castellanos. They paid £25M for him in Jan, and if we could land him for something near that he could be just what we need.
05 May 2026 20:38:56
I think we need to be fairly careful. The medical staff have done a superb job keeping the team healthy overall - our squad has missed the fewest matches this season to injury (77 apparently) . Testament to medical, Farke's formation, and some luck there too.
With approx 120m to spend (net in Reading) , we do need some more depth. Also, don't be fooled that there won't be some bids for our better players. Struijk has had some interest, no doubt Gabby will too. Not that we want to sell, but we want to be ready to be able to if silly money came in.
That's how Brentford, Brighton and Bournemouth have been so successful.
Mings, for me personally, is too big a name, and on too big a decline to warrant looking at seriously. I'd prefer to look at Doekhi or Adam Webster, who are both out of contract. Webster, admittedly, is on the back of an ACL.
Ben Davies, another we've been linked with for a while - he'd be a Byram upgrade/replacement as an emergency. I'd want another left back (Gabby clone) and allow Justin/Bogle to lock down right back.
05 May 2026 20:42:56
Please, not Mings. A terrible defender, and gradually getting worse.
05 May 2026 21:01:43
Senesi is a free transfer.
05 May 2026 23:14:04
Allegedly, Senesi has already verbally agreed a deal with Spuds, subject to their PL survival, but Liverpool and Juventus are looking to hijack it, so he's probably a non starter. I'd certainly prefer Doekhi or Webster to Mings. Agreed, Ealing, we need to be prepared for offers for a number of our players, and deal with them appropriately.
My shopping list would be a backup LWB, a RW (Wilson?) , a GK unless we retain both Darlow and Perri, a CB (assuming Bornauw is going) , and a decent striker (say Castellanos if Sham are relegated) .
06 May 2026 08:21:46
Castellanos is a good shout tho, Jr! He was excellent against us, and I believe he'd be a solid addition without breaking the bank.
06 May 2026 10:57:46
I've been impressed with Mavropanos since Nuno arrived at West Ham, and would take him as competition for our core CBs, who have all had an excellent season and have probably attracted interest elsewhere.
06 May 2026 11:19:51
Mavropanos is a great shout.
06 May 2026 11:37:00
Yep, that fella too!

05 May 2026 12:38:25
Good idea, Aus Meister! Do you also still have everyone's pre season top and bottom guesses too? Can't for my life remember mine! 🤔😂
05 May 2026 12:56:28
Found out this week I'm going to the Ghana Panama game. Not the biggest game, but for free I'll take it!
05 May 2026 13:04:23
Still got em, Bright. Results very soon. The one that sticks out as humumgouslsly wrong is Alfs. But, anyway. All revealed soon, chaps.
Good luck, Canada. Could be a cracker. Prefer watching the no chances as they go at it. Better than boring won it before teams.
05 May 2026 13:53:07
Aus, I couldn't be happier if my prediction proves to be wrong. In fact, I'm almost 100% sure it will be wrong, as I think I said 19th, which is probably impossible now (thankfully) .
05 May 2026 13:58:23
Yep. Alf, you nailed it. 35 games gone. Good job.
05 May 2026 17:00:46
This shows why I don't bet on the footie, Aus!
05 May 2026 17:12:36
Come in Aus, stop teasing. 😛
05 May 2026 23:20:28
Don't think I made a prediction, Aus. I rarely do. My hope was we'd reach 10 to 15, so if we stay where we are, I'll be happy, but I'd never have made a prediction as that would've been the kiss of death.
06 May 2026 08:27:41
I know what you're saying there, Jr!
I think we were just having our own guesses at top3 and bottom 3 for a laugh, rather than all important and consuming "predictions". Are you sure you didn't throw anything in there? I'm sure most did?
06 May 2026 11:24:38
I currently got 1 to 20 in the correct order. The prediction of all predictions.. Pinky promise.. Especially for Brighty, as we know he lurves a prediction. 😉
06 May 2026 11:37:33
Lol, Baz!
06 May 2026 12:12:33
Well, Baz, in the words of the great Chris, that's unbelievable, Jeff! Though I did, at the start of the season, recommend Wet Spam at 6/1 to be relegated.
06 May 2026 12:22:46
Brighty, my "guesses" at the time were that Liverpool would be top again, followed by Man C, that Arsenal would bottle it again, and Man U finish about 6 or 7. At the bottom, I thought the 3 promoted would all go back down - yes, us included, but I hoped I was going to be wrong. Now you see why I'm not a tipster.
06 May 2026 13:06:45
Pretty sure only Alf predicted Leeds down. Will post them all tomorrow. Ish.
