Sounds like Brandt has signed for Ajax!?

3

31 Jul 2026 20:00:25
He really isn't all that anyway. We need some pace in attack and he isn't that guy.

2

31 Jul 2026 20:00:57
Yep, correct.

1

31 Jul 2026 20:03:43
Announced on Ajax website.

1

31 Jul 2026 20:04:52
If you said that before he signed for Ajax, Dave, you would have had more gravitas.

2

31 Jul 2026 20:21:07
What a surprise. We do have a tendency to pursue targets over a long period, even when it's quite obvious we've been played. It might be unfair on Brandt, but the only reason I can see why he went to Ajax, who are in the Europa League and not the main event, is that he decided that the Premier League might prove to be a step too far, and too physical and athletic for him. It will be a much quieter life in the Eredivisie. 🥱
We move on.

2

31 Jul 2026 21:24:40
Not surprised indeed, Dune. Well summed up.

For me, currently, the 2020/2021 summer window of Raphinha, Rodrigoal, Koch and Llorente is far, far better than this one.

I have said it, Corkey, on many other YouTube vloggers live streams and possibly on here.
He's 30, no sell-on value, never played outside Germany. The fact he has strung us along for a month.
He isn't prem ready. He would get gobbled up in the prem, he's too slow.
He's basically just after a last big payday.
Harry Wilson will do a better job as a 10.

30 Jul 2026 17:50:03
Some reports saying that Trafford is at TA today, so maybe the announcement isn't too far away.

3

30 Jul 2026 20:20:47
Yay ...hopefully.

31 Jul 2026 08:28:48
He must be playing hide and seek with the management.

1

31 Jul 2026 09:19:49
Interesting that the forgotten man, Bornauw, had a good game. He could prove very useful cover for our back 3

4

31 Jul 2026 09:30:26
I don't mind Born. I'd keep him for sure. That's 4 goodens, plus couple yoof and amps and Justin. Plenty.

3

31 Jul 2026 09:31:14
I reckon Leeds will be using the same solicitor I used to move house, expect to compete every Friday, and they would find some other reason to drag it on for another week!

5

31 Jul 2026 09:42:07
Anymore news on this.?

0

31 Jul 2026 10:12:56
No, but I think LLF and I use the same solicitors.

4

31 Jul 2026 10:20:23
They do house sales and criminal lawyers. That's unusual.

5

31 Jul 2026 14:52:38
Aus, you're back!! I laughed out loud at that little gem. 🤣

2

31 Jul 2026 18:34:55
Why's he choosing the Territorial Army?

2

30 Jul 2026 14:40:14
I think we're doing alright.

Trafford will sign post holiday medical.

Some clubs who I think will really struggle based on current status.

Sunderland - prime candidates for 1 season wonders and Europe stretching their squad.

Fulham - relying heavily on arbeloas relationship with two Madrid youngsters to hit the ground running as they replace Jimenez and Wilson. If they and/ or rodrigo Muniz and Kevin don't step up they're in big trouble.

Newcastle - looks like a fire sale and the manager gone too. New signings unknown and need to hit the ground like Fulham. Fans might think they have 'too big to go downitis'. Lose guimaraes and if Wissa and Woltemade don't improve it's a lot on Osula.

Villa - they're losing Digne, Rogers is gone. They can't spend a lot right now. Talk of Konsa leaving and with Mings really ageing I think they're super thin defensively without much scr headroom even after Rogers. Reliant on Mazambi. Having seen enough of Manzambi though think he's class. Garnacho a risk loan. Martinez wants out Abraham is injured and Watkins had a good yr last yr and will need to again. Will be fine but worse than last year.

Palace - I don't think they've spent well. The panicked a bit in January as they slid down the table and bought JSl and Brennan Johnson. Sold Lacroix who'll need to be replaced.

Everton - apart from tyrick George they seem to be treading a bit of water. They'll be heavily reliant on the inflated fee they might get from Saudi for Ndiaye. So so light up front and Keane and Tarkowski are at the point where guilty until proven innocent. If a wildcard comes good like dibling settles then they'll be alright.

I don't think Leeds can finish above villa even at their worst but all those other teams at present yes. Caveated by there's a lot of trading to be done.

Brentford look good, without having done much, Brighton will be fine as they have a succession plan for welbeck. Bournemouth I think will be ok even if the blow about kroupi and I think forest will be alright too if the owner let's glasner do his thing.

30 Jul 2026 15:43:56.
No disrespect here, Ealing, but I do have a little giggle at these types of very biased posts.

Apart from Mack'ens, those teams are all fairly fundamental Prem teams, with plenty of staying up experience.

Barcodes will just go buy a few now.
Villa only had 1 scare in many, many years.
Palace always seem to pull rabbits out.

Same with a few others you mentioned.

Brentford were "gone" last season after Frank left, and look how that turned out.

There's so many nuances to how clubs actually progress through a season, it's almost impossible to call, apart from the new 3, which is where it mostly happens.

6

30 Jul 2026 16:23:46
I agree that Sunderland will likely struggle this seez. I would lurve em to get relegated.

Still think bottom six will comprise of the 3 promoted teams, Sunderland, Palace and Leeds.

For me, our season's success hinges on:

1) having few injuries.

and

2) signing at least a goal-scoring striker. We simply cannot risk going again into an EPL seez with just DCL and Nmecha, and Piroe is pointless.

7

30 Jul 2026 17:04:20
Villa also lost Tielemans, so a huge midfield change for them.

2

30 Jul 2026 17:15:03
Agree, Baz.
We were lucky with injuries last season, and it only hit us right at the end when we were safe. If we'd two or three key players out at the same time, for a long spell after the Man City away game, the season might have ended differently.

We do need to find the DCL back up, one who can be ahead of Nmecha and stay fit.

5

30 Jul 2026 17:33:32
Absolutely Dune. 💯

3

31 Jul 2026 09:19:09
West Ham were a fairly fundamental Premier League team with plenty of staying up experience. I can see the point Ealing is making. Very often an established team gets relegated and this coming season may see the same.

2

31 Jul 2026 10:59:50
Unless it's Palace, and they will probably stay up 16th or so. No chance any other established EPL club is going down this seez imo.

1

31 Jul 2026 11:18:07
Fulham, CP, Sunderland, Brentford, Newcastle and Everton are all, at this moment in time, possible relegation candidates, imo. Oh, and even the mighty Leeds.

2

31 Jul 2026 15:00:46
Not so sure about that, Baz. Barcodes have already lost Tonali and Gordon, with maybe Guimares and Woltemade to follow, on top of losing Isak last year. Now, Eddie Howe has walked out, and may be replaced by Matthias Jaissle, who has zero PL experience.

I can see them sinking into the do-do too.

But, there again, I said something similar about Brentford this time last year and was wrong then, so what do I know.

1

29 Jul 2026 17:59:20
Just seen a rumour linking us with Delap. Probably nothing in it. It's silly season after all. Interesting though. Awful time at Chelsea, but there still could be a player in there.

2

30 Jul 2026 07:07:00
Chelsea wanting EUR41-46M, apparently, which I cannot see us paying for a backup striker. Maybe if we can loan him, but I don't see a permanent move for that amount.

3

30 Jul 2026 10:14:13
I would pay 41p for Delap. He was absolutely woeful every time I saw him play last season.

5

30 Jul 2026 12:28:56
Delap was stonking at Ipswich. Chelsea just didn't make the best use of him or play to his strengths.

3

30 Jul 2026 13:12:31
Think a loan with first option would be sensible.

4

31 Jul 2026 15:04:29
Talking of loans, maybe we should offer Largie on loan to Wet Sham, on the off chance that Nuno can improve him and make us want to keep him, or at least put his price up.

1

29 Jul 2026 11:43:40
Do any ITKs actually know where the Trafford deal is up to?

2

29 Jul 2026 13:35:37
Dan James Swansea vibes, aborted deal anyone?

Or who remembers the Michael Cuisance aborted last-minute 'done deal' in 2021?

0

29 Jul 2026 15:16:51
Maybe he gets paid at the end of the month and wants one last citeh paycheck first?
Honestly tho, there's surely a myriad of things that could be going on! Fret not!

1

29 Jul 2026 15:40:23
The word "Trafford" worries me. Hope he has no links to Swine Park.

0

29 Jul 2026 16:57:22
Just finalising the contract apparently. Fear not.

2

29 Jul 2026 18:00:43
Maybe they're discussing his shirt number ..

3

30 Jul 2026 02:38:37
And hope they are sensible enough to put James on it as well.

2

29 Jul 2026 09:36:21
West Ham considering Large. Don’t want to lose Large but West Ham got a chunk of money in the coffers, so 50 would sweeten the deal.

3

29 Jul 2026 10:58:25
Would definitely sell for right price. Farke clearly doesn't trust him, so move him on and reinvest.

4

29 Jul 2026 11:03:48
50? What, Aus? £50M, no chance!

1

29 Jul 2026 11:54:44
I'm thinking £15 to £20m max is what we can expect for Ramazani.
It'll probably end up being nearer £10m.

5

29 Jul 2026 11:56:39
Okafor only manages 60 mins (generally) , so a good left sided midfielder is required (been using Nmeca as first change) . Farke clearly won't use Large, so loan or sale is required. It's not always about the fee, but the reduction in wages to fuel acquisitions. Get him gone for a couple of mill to give the player certainty over his future..

3

29 Jul 2026 13:38:28
Yeah, West Ham sign Largie for a paltry £12 million and sell him in 2 seasons for £40 million.

Leeds should keep Largie. The guy has serious talent, threat and goalscoring instinct.

4

29 Jul 2026 13:40:36
I'm not saying he is worth 50. I'm saying spam can afford 50. And, if Somerville is worth whatever it was, Large is worth 50. I'd take Large over Somerville any day.

2

29 Jul 2026 14:18:20
£5m & Mavropanos...

4

29 Jul 2026 14:37:57
Okafor needs to be moved on if he cannot increase his match minutes. A strategy cannot be based on a pre-match substitution for him every game at 60 mins, and he'll be a bench warmer, not a starter. He has a bit of quality, but is very hit and miss.

3

28 Jul 2026 14:11:43
Inter Milan midfielder Petar Sucic is the latest name to be linked with us, allegedly happy to offer up to £34m. However, Inter are not keen on a sale and won't consider anything other than a 'monster' offer.

1

28 Jul 2026 14:44:40
Neither Inter or the player seem interested, apparently. So we can move on, I reckon. And isn't he a m***. We need a striker ffs.

2

28 Jul 2026 15:09:45
Hi Guys, how much brass do you reckon we have? i.e., yes, desperate for Striker cover, but what they gonna do with Joseph, Ramazanni?

1

28 Jul 2026 16:47:43
Joseph long term injury so he ain’t going anywhere.
Rama, Geldhart, Gnonto, James, Aaronson, Gruev and Longstaff all possible sales.
Gotta start selling asap.

1

28 Jul 2026 17:08:13
Rama, regrettably from my perspective, will likely be sold (and to Valencia) .

Geldhart will be sold, and for a very smallish undisclosed transfer fee.

I doubt any of Gnonto, Longstaff, or Piroe leaves.

No way DJ is leaving.

BA and Gruev might go, but they might see out their final year.

Tanaka, imo, could go and would be sold for a large profit.

0

28 Jul 2026 17:48:01
Get DJ out of the club.

4

28 Jul 2026 18:03:12
Lol, why Llf? Seems a bit unfair as DJ was injured for most of last seez.

And, were you asleep in previous 2 seasons when he scored 45 goals and assists for Leeds United?

3

28 Jul 2026 18:08:07
He's not a top-flight player. Fantastic Championship quality, similar to Piroe. Neither have the ability to make the step up.

6

28 Jul 2026 18:22:26
Well, it's up to him to stay fit and prove doubters wrong that he is good enough at EPL level..

A big seez for him at Leeds United.

.

1

28 Jul 2026 18:57:16
I'd offload Dan James.
And probably Gnonto, and definitely Piroe and Gruev.
I see a few mention Longstaff, and I really do not understand that. He's a great pro and has good Prem experience. I genuinely think he can be a key player for us.

8

28 Jul 2026 19:01:25
Sorry, guys, I know this area should be about rumours. I fear that bringing in better quality may unstabilise the group. Our togetherness is a massive part of our success. It feels a bit like deja vu from last time's promotion/relegation. This is a massive season which will define our club for the next 10 years. I am not convinced Farke knows which system he will employ, and therefore which positions are a priority.

Should DCL, Okafor, and Stach get injured (I suspect they will) , a striker is required. Our Championship winners will be required to plug the gaps. He likes a small squad, but Chelsea have 11 more squad members than Leeds, and they can't get over the line. Hoping I am wrong and we get off to a fast start. MOT, apols for the essay.

1

28 Jul 2026 19:50:11
Geldhart scored 15 goals last season, so I'd expect a minimum fee of 8 million, and be hoping for 10-12.

3

28 Jul 2026 20:15:41
Sorry Corkey, but I don't think we'll get anywhere near that. Although I think he could do a good job in the Championship again and maybe be a squad member for a promoted PL team, there don't appear to be any clubs making serious attempts at buying him.
Maybe they will come in at the end of the window hoping to get him at a knock down price when we're desperate to offload.

If we get £5m it will be a good result but more likely less than that.
Re Dan James. Big contract, and unless we're willing to pay off a large part of it, he's not going anywhere.

3

28 Jul 2026 20:38:52
Good post, Mr Benn.. It's a pivotal season indeed.. we need another season of few injuries. A tad nervous.

Corkey, £10 to 12 million? From whom? Hull, Brum? Only 1 year left on contract.

0

28 Jul 2026 20:40:32
100% spot on Dune.

0

28 Jul 2026 21:52:45
I repeat, 15 goals! If we accept 5 million, it would be a disgrace.

3

29 Jul 2026 16:56:40
I agree with Corkey - he had a good season last year and was key to Hull going up. I would expect around 10 myself.

1

27 Jul 2026 21:46:09
Carlos Espi bring linked by one of the more reputable WACCOE posters.

7

28 Jul 2026 23:51:58
This guy would be a really good option up top. He plays very similar to Dcl, and had a great breakout season in Spain. Watched him a lot.

1

29 Jul 2026 02:55:44
Seemingly, lots of others interested. Need to get s shift on if serious.

1

27 Jul 2026 20:24:57
Few reports on X saying Guessand is someone we are looking at again.

4

29 Jul 2026 02:59:58
Guessand = Right winger, Wilson ditto, DJ ditto. How many RWs do we need?
