Pletenberg reporting we are pushing for a deal for Bahoya.

Don’t go to bed yet folks.
Finger crossed.

He looked like he was going to Hull, but backed out, saying he'd make a late decision. If true, this is cutting it a bit fine.

01 Sep 2026 18:01:37
Very fine, but medical can be done after the paperwork goes in.

1

02 Sep 2026 05:18:07
Arsenal reputed to have looked at him first.

01 Sep 2026 17:20:18
Bahoya is the latest name doing the rounds as we aim to do a late deal.

4

01 Sep 2026 17:31:28
He's about the best we could hope for at this point. Decent player, very pacey.

4

01 Sep 2026 17:33:01
He was born near Disneyland in Paris, just saying. 🤣😂🤣😂

1

01 Sep 2026 18:03:08
Quickest ever recorded in Bundes, apparently.

1

01 Sep 2026 18:23:38
I like pace. It frightens defenders. However, I remember Steve Kindon at Burnley. He was big and quick, but could only run in a straight line.
Hopefully Bahoya can run at angles as well.

1

01 Sep 2026 15:44:05
Ramz has gone to Burnley. £6.5m plus £2m add-ons. Better than anything Valencia would offer.

2

01 Sep 2026 16:15:22
But only if he plays X games.
Hopefully, not an Elliot situation.

0

01 Sep 2026 16:33:54
Sly Spurts says 8.5m of add ons! Lol! Got a bit excited at that!

1

01 Sep 2026 16:44:42
Leeds Utd say he has "joined Burnley on a season-long loan, which will become a permanent transfer next summer, based on the winger making an achievable number of appearances for them". The fee will be £6.5M, possibly rising to £8.5M with add ons.

01 Sep 2026 16:45:45
Do did I Bright, but just ignored it. No link to promotion, which is good because I think they'll struggle.

1

01 Sep 2026 16:51:02
Is there a loan fee, Dune?

1

01 Sep 2026 16:59:27
Don't think so, Baz. Just an obligation, and an achievable appearance-based add-on. Under the circumstances, it's about as good as we could get.

3

01 Sep 2026 17:11:12
Cheers Dune for info.

01 Sep 2026 12:19:28
Latest rumour says we're after Hwang Hee-Chan from Wolves, but we'll probably end up getting beaten to him too.

4

01 Sep 2026 12:45:27
Five goals in his last 56 prem games. Doesn't really inspire.

8

01 Sep 2026 12:54:20
Agreed, but is a superior alternative on the cards? If not, I'll take him.

3

01 Sep 2026 13:11:36
Agreed, JR.

01 Sep 2026 13:12:56
He had a good run 2 or 3 seasons ago, but he's very inconsistent and more of a striker. Be interesting to see whether Willie goes, as the stance was he won't unless we bring in a winger (Mudryk presumably) , and Hwang isn't a direct replacement.

If he's all we get, then I'd take him, but at the moment, it seems a bit of an underwhelming statement of intent.

2

01 Sep 2026 13:13:52
Always admired his work rate, but his scoring record isn't inspiring.

01 Sep 2026 13:17:57
A classic case of just wanting players through the door for the sake of it. Then, the following season, when they've not played & go on loan for free or sold for peanuts, the same fans crying that we're s*** at selling players..

4

01 Sep 2026 13:26:24
Definitely would take Hwang. Can also play wide and behind front 2.

3

01 Sep 2026 13:32:09
Finch, so you would prefer that other Korean striker "Mr No Wan"?

Hwang is decent, versatile and a good option from the bench.

Plus Leeds would sell a shed load of shirts in South Korea. lol.

1

01 Sep 2026 14:16:27
He was offered to us. No chance we are in for him though. Not at the level we want
We want £50m players, but at a £10m price tag, hence we aren't getting anyone.

1

01 Sep 2026 14:54:44
He is s***.

2

01 Sep 2026 15:58:18
The Italian window closes at 7pm BST, so Willie has three hours to get his transfer done. Doesn't sound like we have an alternative taking a medical.

01 Sep 2026 16:12:20
No Baz, I'd rather leave it to the club & trust their judgement, as they know the finances of the club & the targets, rather than crying & moaning on here, because they didn't sign someone who, I heard, Dave down the chippy, whose mate knows Farke's postman, said we were signing.

Half of the lads are crying because we didn't sign players X, Y & Z, when we weren't even in for them in the first place.

3

01 Sep 2026 16:41:55
Too trusting, perhaps.

And I am 100% sure, Finch, that before this summer window commenced, you would have had thought it necessary that Leeds signing an additional striker would be a must..

Leeds not signing a striker is a mistake, imo ..dont blow over half your transfer budget on a gk perhaps.

2

01 Sep 2026 17:02:02
Well to be fair Baz, you've already doubled down on your keeper transfers.& were wrong both times.
Not too trusting, but not prepared to throw my toys out of the pram. yeah, we all wanted a striker & it was supposed to be the main target, but for one person on here to say "I'll be furious if we don't sigh Flemming" is hilarious :)

I'm just back from Seoul actually Baz, saw a few man utd tops, so definitley a market to exploit, although baseball is their thing.

2

01 Sep 2026 17:26:45
Yep, Korea is a very nice place, Finch. I know South East Asia very well, I used to work and live in Japan.

Football is a very close second behind football in Japan and Korea.

I agree re your comment on the poster's comment on Flemming.

But (with ref to Chris' point) , Leeds have spent over £60 million on keepers transfers in past 2 seasons, and none on strikers.

1

01 Sep 2026 17:28:01
* Behind baseball.

01 Sep 2026 17:42:03
Yeah Baz, I get that about the keepers. Perri was a big gamble, or rather a compromise of who they really wanted. Had he worked out, then I'm sure the striker would've possibly been a record-breaking transfer this season. However, it didn't, so we have to play with the cards we are dealt. Providing we see this season out, then that may be the next big thing & perhaps the 10 that we've been screaming for for the last 4 seasons!

I honestly don't think the club are that stupid that they think they can get through the season or to Jan, with just 2 strikers.

I'm prepared to do the walk of shame later today if that's the case.

I visited Japan a few years back. It's some place. I recommend it to everyone as a place to go.

01 Sep 2026 17:52:06
Good follow up post and points, Finch. 👍

2

01 Sep 2026 08:47:30
Leeds I for Melvin Bard LB from OGC Nice.

3

01 Sep 2026 21:54:57
What happened to this, then? BBC seemed to think it was practically a done deal earlier on?

0

31 Aug 2026 22:35:17
Melvin Bard a potential cover for Gabby.
Private flight coming into East Leeds tomorrow am from Nice.

6

01 Sep 2026 00:41:00
Wouldn't mind seeing us move for Solanke as a loan option. Spurs will have an abundance of players. Surely Solanke would be pushing for more game time.

Bard would be a nice back up as well. Do you know if he is a natural left footer?

2

01 Sep 2026 00:51:20
Can't say I recall seeing him play, but left back/wing back, according to what I have read today.

1

01 Sep 2026 07:15:20
Apparently can play anywhere on the left, including CB. Deal is a £1m loan with £4m buy, so sounds like a neat bit of business.

4

01 Sep 2026 08:24:18
Guy called Ashley Mackie on the PJ from Nice, co-owner of YESSSS Electrical, resides in Switzerland, but has a home in Monaco too. Definitely not a footballer on that jet either.

1

01 Sep 2026 09:32:44
Either way, he's coming.

2

01 Sep 2026 10:29:45
The PJ is coming into Farnborough. Looks like we have dispatched a PJ from LBA to collect this morning.

Rumours that Valencia have cooled on Ramz and that Burnley are in talks for a deal.
They're in for a few players at the moment to strengthen the squad but look like Fleming is on his way out.

Lille have moved on from Fleming to Ueda and agreed a €15m fee but Ipswich have made a bid for the Burnley striker. Not accepted but talks under way.

3

31 Aug 2026 16:45:36
Fleming has said he wants to stay in the Premier League and is pushing for a move. Ipswich have made an offer which hasn't been accepted yet and are in talks with Burnley.

1

31 Aug 2026 17:25:23
I think he ends up here.

2

31 Aug 2026 17:57:10
I hope you're right, Waccoe. If it's true, we've taken a long time to get there, and I don't think his price will have dropped. Fleming's stance all along had been to stay in the PL.

1

31 Aug 2026 19:56:50
Looks like Mudryk is off elsewhere, so if we're not careful, we'll end up with some quality added to the first team, but a much depleted squad, which is essential to survive in this league.

0

31 Aug 2026 20:29:25
According to other posts, Fleming is off to Ipswich for £17m. Another one gone.

0

31 Aug 2026 22:09:33
And they have a loan agreement in place with Tammy Abraham. Up to the player.

0

31 Aug 2026 22:13:59
No disrespect, and I am biased, but why would he choose Ipswich over Leeds? Surely we're a better prospect.

3

31 Aug 2026 22:55:15
If Ipswich have made an approach to him, and we haven't, then he'll choose them, simples. If we want him, and that's unclear right now, then digits need to be extracted PDQ!

3

01 Sep 2026 07:41:11
Nothing reported as agreed with Ipswich, just rumour still. Not over until the panic button has been hit 50 times!

1

31 Aug 2026 16:28:07
Leeds going in strong apparently for Flemming.

6

31 Aug 2026 21:03:38
Maybe not strong enough because the Tractor Boys have just driven straight over us, planted the seed and harvested the crop before we've even woken up and smelt the coffee.
We need a better recruitment team.

3

01 Sep 2026 07:42:01
You're assuming we've actually targeted him there, Dune.

1

01 Sep 2026 08:14:05
Maybe you're right, Bright, but we do need another back up striker. Fleming would seem a reasonable option as he had a good season last year, seems not to be injury prone, and relatively cheap. Comments that the club can't find the type of player they want. They've 12 hours to rectify that.

0

01 Sep 2026 09:20:03
Not gonna argue on that in principle, bud!
