Inter Milan midfielder Petar Sucic is the latest name to be linked with us, allegedly happy to offer up to £34m. However, Inter are not keen on a sale and won't consider anything other than a 'monster' offer.
28 Jul 2026 14:44:40
Neither Inter or the player seem interested, apparently. So we can move on, I reckon. And isn't he a m***. We need a striker ffs.
28 Jul 2026 15:09:45
Hi Guys, how much brass do you reckon we have? i.e., yes, desperate for Striker cover, but what they gonna do with Joseph, Ramazanni?
28 Jul 2026 16:47:43
Joseph long term injury so he ain’t going anywhere.
Rama, Geldhart, Gnonto, James, Aaronson, Gruev and Longstaff all possible sales.
Gotta start selling asap.
28 Jul 2026 17:08:13
Rama, regrettably from my perspective, will likely be sold (and to Valencia) .
Geldhart will be sold, and for a very smallish undisclosed transfer fee.
I doubt any of Gnonto, Longstaff, or Piroe leaves.
No way DJ is leaving.
BA and Gruev might go, but they might see out their final year.
Tanaka, imo, could go and would be sold for a large profit.
28 Jul 2026 17:48:01
Get DJ out of the club.
28 Jul 2026 18:03:12
Lol, why Llf? Seems a bit unfair as DJ was injured for most of last seez.
And, were you asleep in previous 2 seasons when he scored 45 goals and assists for Leeds United?
28 Jul 2026 18:08:07
He's not a top-flight player. Fantastic Championship quality, similar to Piroe. Neither have the ability to make the step up.
28 Jul 2026 18:22:26
Well, it's up to him to stay fit and prove doubters wrong that he is good enough at EPL level..
A big seez for him at Leeds United.
.
28 Jul 2026 18:57:16
I'd offload Dan James.
And probably Gnonto, and definitely Piroe and Gruev.
I see a few mention Longstaff, and I really do not understand that. He's a great pro and has good Prem experience. I genuinely think he can be a key player for us.
28 Jul 2026 19:01:25
Sorry, guys, I know this area should be about rumours. I fear that bringing in better quality may unstabilise the group. Our togetherness is a massive part of our success. It feels a bit like deja vu from last time's promotion/relegation. This is a massive season which will define our club for the next 10 years. I am not convinced Farke knows which system he will employ, and therefore which positions are a priority.
Should DCL, Okafor, and Stach get injured (I suspect they will) , a striker is required. Our Championship winners will be required to plug the gaps. He likes a small squad, but Chelsea have 11 more squad members than Leeds, and they can't get over the line. Hoping I am wrong and we get off to a fast start. MOT, apols for the essay.
28 Jul 2026 19:50:11
Geldhart scored 15 goals last season, so I'd expect a minimum fee of 8 million, and be hoping for 10-12.
28 Jul 2026 20:15:41
Sorry Corkey, but I don't think we'll get anywhere near that. Although I think he could do a good job in the Championship again and maybe be a squad member for a promoted PL team, there don't appear to be any clubs making serious attempts at buying him.
Maybe they will come in at the end of the window hoping to get him at a knock down price when we're desperate to offload.
If we get £5m it will be a good result but more likely less than that.
Re Dan James. Big contract, and unless we're willing to pay off a large part of it, he's not going anywhere.
28 Jul 2026 20:38:52
Good post, Mr Benn.. It's a pivotal season indeed.. we need another season of few injuries. A tad nervous.
Corkey, £10 to 12 million? From whom? Hull, Brum? Only 1 year left on contract.
28 Jul 2026 20:40:32
100% spot on Dune.
28 Jul 2026 21:52:45
I repeat, 15 goals! If we accept 5 million, it would be a disgrace.
27 Jul 2026 21:46:09
Carlos Espi bring linked by one of the more reputable WACCOE posters.
27 Jul 2026 20:24:57
Few reports on X saying Guessand is someone we are looking at again.
27 Jul 2026 19:47:50
Hearing there is No buy back clause in the Trafford deal. Leeds pushing for Citeh to have first refusal instead.
27 Jul 2026 22:27:48
Hopefully.
27 Jul 2026 22:29:05
What's the fee, Alf? I've seen £45M quoted elsewhere, which is quite a lot even without a buyback clause.
27 Jul 2026 23:26:14
Not sure yet. Lots of conflicting rumours out there, and I haven't heard anything solid from a source I fully trust yet. I imagine a bit higher due to no buyback, so EUR45m wouldn't be surprising. Will let you know if I hear anything more solid.
28 Jul 2026 08:35:33
Some of the Man City sites are saying £40m plus £5m add-ons, a sell-on clause, but no buy-back.
28 Jul 2026 08:55:00
It's been on the local radio stations as an imminent deal for 40m.
28 Jul 2026 08:47:11
That would be big news because it's a big stain on what should be celebrated big time. 60m euro (51m sterling) is the rumoured finger for the buyback release clause. Detail needed.
28 Jul 2026 14:16:42
From reports that are emerging, there is no buy-back clause, but there is a sell-on clause. Not sure of the exact amount as yet.
27 Jul 2026 10:18:06
Trafford is in Leeds apparently.
27 Jul 2026 10:57:09
Going to be a great signing! If we get Brandt as well, this will go down as one of the greatest windows for a long time.
Add a few more, and we are looking extremely good for the season ahead.
27 Jul 2026 11:26:46
A reliable source Alf?
27 Jul 2026 14:58:14
Thought it was in greater Devon, Alf?
Look, can we all just use his very nice first name "James" for any posts or comments referring to our potential new young keeper.
All this Traffo.. stuff is playing havoc with my hay fever!
27 Jul 2026 15:27:29
Graham Smyth has reported the flight was empty and nothing to do with Trafford, check your sources
27 Jul 2026 15:54:36
Gazza of, check Graham Smyth's sources, he is rarely reliable and the majority of his info comes from third parties or stuff the club wants us to believe, often the opposite of the truth; he is so unreliable, it's funny.
Got to commend someone with so little talent or knowledge in such a high profile role.
27 Jul 2026 17:55:37
So is Trafford really at Leeds United or not today.?
So many LUFC long winded transfer sagas.
Meanwhile Ipswich, no messing around at all, have smoothly and quickly moved to sign a 6 foot 9 man mountain ( a former Brighton keeper ) for £9 million
What odds he turns out to be one of the signings of the season by next May.
27 Jul 2026 18:46:24
Once an Ipswich fan always an Ipswich fan, eh Baz. 😆
27 Jul 2026 19:24:30
Nah not really, Canada.
But Ipswich have had some very good teams and players in their pomp, mid 1970s to early 80s.
So I defo admired them from afar in that era.
Seem to recall they had an excellent team under George Burley later too in 90s or 2000s.
Up the Town lol. 😆
27 Jul 2026 19:44:48
Smyth is a mushroom - fed on stuff the club wants him to say, but he is always behind. Ornstein has now confirmed it's very close, and Smyth has had to back down from what he said earlier, more or less. Yep, ok as a source for things after they are fact, but are kept in the dark by the club.
27 Jul 2026 19:45:43
Extremely reliable Mighty.
27 Jul 2026 19:56:36
Agree with you, Baz. Ipswich have made 8 signings and got on with the business. Coventry and Hull have made a couple. We don't need to make 8, but clubs coming up need to improve their squad quickly.
I think Scheperen will be a good signing, and at about £9m he appears to be good value.
They've also bought another keeper on a long term contract, Overlen, for about £4m and will send him out on loan. Obviously thinking ahead.
Maybe we don't need to do that if James is between the sticks at ER for the next 15 years.
27 Jul 2026 20:17:04
Yes, Baz, they were a good team then, for sure.
27 Jul 2026 02:34:11
Private flight coming into Leeds Bradford from Manchester at 8:37am. Could this be Trafford on his way?
27 Jul 2026 04:50:22
Blimey. Could he not have driven. 🤔
27 Jul 2026 05:49:41
If it gets him through the door quicker, I'm all for it.
27 Jul 2026 06:45:39
Wouldn't blame him, M62 is a bummer at that time on a Monday morning.
27 Jul 2026 10:18:28
Apparently this was the Trafford flight.
26 Jul 2026 10:53:07.
Reportedly Perri booked in Turin for medical Tuesday, so either Leeds unveil Trafford tomorrow or we have a squeaky period with 1 keeper!
26 Jul 2026 12:34:32
They won't let Perri go unless they've two lined up; otherwise, selling clubs will know you're desperate to recruit. Trafford should be one. Not sure about the other.
We need to get Trafford tied up as Martinez is not happy at Villa, and although he's returning to pre-season, he is very much on Juve's radar.
26 Jul 2026 13:17:11
Trafford, and then find someone from the Championship as backup. Is it Johnston at Wolves?
26 Jul 2026 13:48:54
Definitely need at minimum 1 keeper. Hopefully, we have a young keeper on our books we can trust as a back up.
Cairns, for me, isn't the one.
I think we dropped the ball with Darlow, personally.
26 Jul 2026 13:58:46
Yes Mighty, we deffo dropped the ball with Darlow.
26 Jul 2026 14:00:43
Agree, LLF. Johnston is the sort of back up you need. Experience, reasonably good career, but someone who is at the end of it. No good getting a good youngster, as they don't progress. They need to be bought and loaned out.
26 Jul 2026 14:13:25
100% on Darlow. Spose the owners still believe in loyalty over dollars. Worrying.
26 Jul 2026 14:43:54
So far just 2 signings incoming.
Just 5 weeks of the window remain.
26 Jul 2026 18:13:54
Zetterstrom at Derby would be good, but might regard being our No2 as a bit of a comedown after playing for Sweden in the World Cup.
26 Jul 2026 18:29:57
Darlow should have been signed up to a longer contract with more money well before the season ended.
Talk now that there is a complication with Perri's potential move because of agent's financial demands and who pays it.
Nightmare are agents. The players employ the agents and they should pay them.
26 Jul 2026 20:18:51
Why does it always take us forever to get transfers done.
26 Jul 2026 22:27:40
Because there are too many people and too much money involved, Dave.
27 Jul 2026 03:18:09
Why/how did the club drop the ball with Darlow?
Most professional footballers want to see what their options are at the end of the contract, and having game time just put him in the shop window even more. It wasn't anything to do with GK status; it was all about the money.
It was his last contract, so who can blame him.
He did exactly the job we wanted of him when we signed him, and now we buy better moving forward. Perri out is the move we needed, as he was rank tbf.
26 Jul 2026 00:37:04
Harrison gone to New England Revolution, permanent transfer for an undisclosed fee.
26 Jul 2026 09:20:45
Joe Tiffany reporting £4 million. Amazing bit of business if that's accurate.
26 Jul 2026 09:23:29
Others on the site are suggesting a top six-figure sum, i.e. under a million.
26 Jul 2026 10:03:04
Sounds more realistic, and more than he's worth to us, so I'll take it.
26 Jul 2026 10:40:31
4 mill may include the wages we save?
26 Jul 2026 11:45:54
You could be right there, Canada. Whatever it is, it's the best for all concerned.
26 Jul 2026 14:16:43
Liked Harrison in Bielsa era. But anything is good now. Don't get the hatred. He played a lot of games for us and did his best. Long time retired, right. In general, life that we live. Most of the time $ counts.
27 Jul 2026 03:22:21
Wages off the books is what we needed.
The whole Harrison saga has been one long mess. A new contract, and the mess of that move to Leicester, and then Marsch playing him as an inverted RW, messed him up. He has gone downhill ever since.
8 G and 8 A in a PL season and a 20 million value. Dreadful management by the club. Meslier is similar, and no sell on for Summerville, too.
Thankfully we now have owners with their heads screwed on.
25 Jul 2026 16:23:05
According to Sky Sports, Brandt has had offers from Leeds and Ajax but prefers a PL option. However, he's still waiting to see if he gets interest from Serie A.
One of his recent postings had an hour glass in it which might mean the time is coming for a decision to be made.
25 Jul 2026 21:04:48
The hourglass is on his profile but it's been there a while.
26 Jul 2026 04:58:46
Realistically, if he wants to be a starter, he needs to get as much of pre season with his new team as possible, so he should make a decision this week.
26 Jul 2026 08:14:25
Agree, Aus. We can't hang around like we have done in the past. Think, financially and squad wise, a Brandt deal makes sense, but it needs to get done or move on.
