Straw poll - if you had the chance would you replace Farke now (as in immediately) and if so who would you go for?
{Ed025's Note - i think you have to stick with him myself Alf..
07 Apr 2025 11:50:51
Big Sam all day, bring him on.
07 Apr 2025 12:03:51
I wouldn’t, no. It’s another damned if you do, damned if you don’t situation. He’s got us this far, he needs to finish the job, whatever the outcome. Full review at the end of the season, but in light of recent rumours, reports, and the expected level of sh1t stirring, I think he will be gone with the Thanks of the club.
07 Apr 2025 12:52:34
Absolutely not. at the very least he has given us the 2nd and 3rd best season of the last 20/ 25? Potentially the best is yet to come. It's not lost on me how many Norwich fans wished they still had him. I doubt there's a manager out there who would do any better. When we were relegated, who could have hoped for the two seasons we have had. honestly?
07 Apr 2025 13:14:32
It would be madness to replace him now, what will be will be now, new manager couldn't guarantee promo in such a short time period now, Takes at least a month or so to get to know people imo .
Think he may be tic-tac'd in summer though.
07 Apr 2025 13:17:00
He needs to stay, you can't account for the poor decisions and mistakes the players are making on the pitch. The only criticism is the playing of certain players out of form, but there is no suitable replacement. Take arronson for instance, he is not a playmaker and we don't have one, so does this fall to Farke or the board? We don't know, we just speculate that he either didn't make that request or the board is not willing to spend. Stick absolutely ?.
07 Apr 2025 13:42:28
Definitely not now, for all the reasons previously stated. It’s worked in relegation situations but this can be turned around in a heartbeat, just need the football gods to smile on us that’s all.
As for should he stay post promotion, that’s for another time, let’s get up first.
07 Apr 2025 14:15:08
He needs to stay until the end of the season at least whether we keep him next season is the big question, personally I would give him a go if he fails depending on who we bring in, then replace him. But damned if we do damned if we don't.
07 Apr 2025 15:07:54
It depends on the next game.
If we lose and Burnley and Sheffield utd win (yeah, I know anything could happen but anything could happen and not all good. ) then we need to be realistic and pragmatic about the possibility of the play offs.
If we lose because we were outplayed, it is what it is. If we lose because the team have lost faith, Farke has lost the dressing room or the club has lost its bottle, then we need to change manager.
Now, swapping out Farke doesn't necessarily have to be a commentary on Farke. Sometimes, a change, a big mix up can inject fresh belief into a team.
TL;Dr - if we lose the next game then changing manager would be the way to go, only IF the change is for a big name; big Sam, mourinho, Klopp (hint hint)

The Boro game is huge . one win in 6 needs to become 2 wins in 7
5 wins out of 6 should hopefilly ensure a top 2 finish for LUFC
And therefore I won't need to dry the tears of certain peeps on here season end.
07 Apr 2025 20:34:58
I very much doubt you’re on anyone’s list for tear wiping duty Baz.
In the event of us actually not going up, in fact, you’d probably best be rather scarce.
07 Apr 2025 21:43:23
Nah Brighty last season I was definitely on hand to dry the tears of my "fave" peeps on here the usual suspects.
{Ed025's Note - listen guys i wont allow tit for tat sniping at each other on these pages, lets not bring the tone down with childish remarks, surely we can discuss things without being pedantic?..cheers..

Some great replies here thanks chaps. Was pondering the possibility of a new manager bounce for 6 games. Russell Martin perhaps if we did make that decision? Could he do a job?
08 Apr 2025 01:48:34
I think Russell Martins confidence is shattered Alf as he was treated very unfairly at Southampton, they came up to the prem with the thought of we don’t have to spend much as we are good enough, they came up short and the board made him look a very very average manager!, even Le Tissier said the same, he has been very outspoken about the board! . Maybe someone like Gary Rowett, he’s a tough manager and he gets things going and I think if he got a big club with talented team and money he could do a good job!
Lately watching Leeds I feel a sense of their drive and motivation has gone since they lost to Portsmouth, the noise and atmosphere at Elland Road has dipped, I can’t put my finger on it but it feels like we need a new bounce to get us going again and I’m hoping it starts at Middlesbrough. ALAW MOT.

Acknowledged Ed, apologies ?.
{Ed025's Note - no problem mate..
