Onwards and Upwards,
Not a great game but we’re still in it.
Thanks to Meslier otherwise we would’ve lost that game.
29 Mar 2025 18:09:39
We'd also would have won as well looking at that way.
29 Mar 2025 18:20:11
Can you elaborate on your view of their 2 goals. Meslier saves a penalty, then is at fault for both their goals. First goal, fairly obvious, 2nd goal, quite a tight angle, and the ball goes under his body. Most half decent keepers make the save. I know it’s a while since I went to school but if my arithmetic is correct, we would and should have won the game 2-1, even if he didn’t save the penalty. I just want to make it clear, I really want meslier to do well, and for a while in the game he looked like he was in control of everything, then he gifts them a goal from a simple routine catch.

Said not many Leeds fan in the bar in Tenerife that I was in. Fabulous penalty save, but a cross into his box no pace, no pressure, first choice keeper catches those for fun, if the earlier effort had not hit the post we most definitely would have lost.
Nobody played well, Farke has to hold his hands up for this one BA anonymous after first minute but we played negative, scared, conservatively in my opinion and Farke (currently) is being out managed by the other two.
29 Mar 2025 18:25:03
I repeat, we would have still lost that game without his contributions.
29 Mar 2025 18:34:46
Unfortunately it’s been drummed in to them that they are fatigue and they now believe it, that’s what you get when you ?wash them.
29 Mar 2025 18:50:45
What C and J and Class said.
29 Mar 2025 18:52:46
Cmon OP mate surely you don’t actually believe that?
29 Mar 2025 19:17:44
LIKE IV'E ALWAYS SAID, SCARED FOOTBALL WILL NOT GET US PROMOTED!
29 Mar 2025 19:23:58
I'm afraid you're right Class. Bad time to go on a bad run, manager and all players now need to step up!
29 Mar 2025 20:23:57
Had it not been for that easily catchable drop we would have won how anybody can deny that well I cannot understand the reasoning.
29 Mar 2025 20:29:23
Somebody actually gave BA 8 out of 10 man of the match performance. I can only deduce from that, BA himself was writing up the players ratings, or Daniel Farke was. Mind boggling. Mes finally saved a penalty and ended up with 3 out of 10. That tells you everything really. I know BA didn’t set his transfer fee, but I’ve said it previously, for what we paid for him, one of the worst signings the club has ever made. Farke continually overlooking Schmidt, has to be a personal thing. Has never given the lad a chance. Unforced errors costing us again. Did we actually get an offer of10mill for MJ? OP I’m not even going to get into a tit for tat nonsense with you about meslier, but you’re either trying to wind Baz up more, are deluded, or you have been sniffing the barman’s apron. Which is it?
29 Mar 2025 20:56:40
Meslier was the best player today, our outfield team were dreadful. I don’t think I could even give Rodon and Bogle one point between them for their performance. The rest of the team were also diabolical.
Meslier for me was Man of the Match for me and we were very lucky to get one point out of this terrible display.
I would also give one point to the fans also at Elland rd, absolutely disgraceful and pathetic.
29 Mar 2025 21:21:55
Agreed Clarke pal, Baracus continued inclusion has to be an ode to our owners, there is no other reason as to why he hasn't been dropped
He's has been another very poor Orta signing, who has physical presence of a baby Bambi, and considering he's playing in most physical national style of football in world we see each week how he just gets bustled off ball way too often, Crazy money what was paid for him and return we have gotten
Mental.

I was in the kop today right behind the goal. Any penalty save is a good one, it wasn't well struck, but credit where it's due he saved it. He made a couple of decent saves, but there keeper did as well, arguably better ones. But, he was at fault for the first goal, and the second goal was save able. Saying all this the performance of the team was totally lacklustre after getting the early goal. Dissapointing performances all over the park and no outstanding ones. A big worry is we are conceding goals again at this crucial time. Four points as a minimum requirement from Luton and Middlesbrough otherwise we might be out of reach of automatic promotion. The Manager must lift the team before these two mega games, and if he does, and we get back on track, we can still achieve our objective.
29 Mar 2025 22:44:56
100% bang on post Clarkey.
OP you must be on a wind up mate?!
29 Mar 2025 23:45:18
OP mate, are you just winding the wheels up with that remark about the crowd or are you being serious? ?
I was at the game today and the crowd were great, there was only 700 odd from Swansea and approximately 35000 Leeds fans. We sang our hearts out today, we clapped for 1 min for the boys, we sang, we shouted and we booed! So I really do hope you are winding ‘the dark clouds are gathering’ brigade!
On that subject, please may I ask why we are now resigned to third ?♂️? Why are we now resigned to the play offs? ?♂️ and why will we lose to Sunderland in the play off final? ?♂️ Talk about premature! Sheffield United and Burnley have to play each other yet, and Burnley do not have a good run in, so for Christ's sake will you dark cloud brigade start getting behind the team and give it one last push to the premiership!
The other side is that I throw the rest of my tickets for the rest of the season down the toilet, I mean it makes sense I suppose as we have nothing to play for now and it would save me some serious dosh ? hmm ? yep you’re right bollox to it I’m going to take the wife shopping when we play next and then on Saturdays it’s now the garden centre, cheers lads, I’ve seen that dark cloud at the end of the tunnel. GAG lads, Alf stick in there mate, we shall not be moved ??.
30 Mar 2025 03:57:17
Woody huh
you called for Mes to be dropped after Hull match; today 2 Mes mistakes again lead to 2 goals conceded!
So. What makes you think Leeds will get top two with Mes in goal
AND
with Sheff Utd and Burnley in great form.
30 Mar 2025 06:15:57
I was not at that game but you could see and hear very little from the fans in the first half. Yes there was not much to sing about because our team was playing diabolically but the anxiety of the fans was evident
Yes our tempo increased in the second half and so did the voices of the fans, my point is that the anxious quietness doesn’t help. I understand that everyone is too busy biting their nails and thinking, this is going to be like last season but it’s not going to help the players. The Elland rd fans have always been that 12th player on the pitch but for me that 12th player was not there in that first half.
Apart from the the respectful tribute to Chris and Kevin their wasn’t enough noise for me coming from the fans, when I say say noise you know exactly what I mean.
30 Mar 2025 07:00:02
Their second goal was a bullet of a shot, if you take your time to observe then you would see that it was not an easy save by any stretch of the imagination.
The question should be, where was our defense when it really mattered?
Nowhere, is the answer you will find.
30 Mar 2025 07:21:26
Cork, i am definitely not on a wind up, Meslier made some big saves in that first half including the penalty.
I honestly believe we could at worst, been down 1-3 in that first half had it not been for his contribution.
Yes he made one error that cost a goal but he saved enough for me to not lose that game by the countless errors of his teammates on that afternoon.
I see the game and individual performances as I see them with my own eyes and not with the background noise of repetitive narratives of others.
