Solomon has skills but seems a little out of place in the team, almost as if he's playing out position.
Hypothetically, would he be a better 10 than a winger? Or does he just need more time with the team?
Even though Joseph missed a chance, he should be starting above Piroe. Piroe is mint to finish games off, as seen this season. If it ain't broke, don't fix it.

Don't think Sol is fully fit, maybe Farke would've preferred to give him 15-20 mins at the end of the game rather than virtually a full game. Before he got iunjured after a few games, he looked good and fit in very well. I'd say give him a few games to get up to full fitness.
23 Oct 2024 09:39:17
Yes, I would love to see Solaman come inside and play behind Joseph.
I know he scored a goal but Brenda is really no goal threat and other than run around a lot, gives nothing to the team.

No ILK Solomon looked far from sharp. And he was subbed before the end. So he probably played longer than he expected.
Early goal and a forced sub slowed our momentum.
Should have got that 3rd goal though. Piroe. Joseph. Soloman. Gnonto. Dj. Aaronson. All missed presentable chances.
Second half they targeted firpos side. He struggled with the pace leading up to their goal.
But we survived and that is all that matters.

Farke said as much, that he had little option to play Solomon as sub, since he didn't want to change formation, but wasn't expecting it to have to be 80+ minutes. The title for the injury was "clever" in that he got the ball, but he knew what he was doing with the follow through.
I think due respect to Watford, rather than we played poorly; they messed up at the start, well their goalie did, but they had a plan and were pretty good in my opinion. Had they won, they would have been equal with us on points, so they can be good. Long before their goal, it was obvious they were a big team and we absolutely didn't want to be giving set pieces away to them; we "survived" them rather than dealt with them confidently.
I think, given the game plan of Watford and their physicality, we still played pretty well and carved out numerous guilt-edge chances to have made it a lot more comfortable. Gnonto was particularly wasteful last night and should have played a few passes rather than shooting at unlikely angles. Piroe's and Joseph's finishing was very out of character last night. They both usually put those type of chances away. Glad James came on; he turned the tide in the last 15 minutes.
Still, we won. and that is the most crucial thing.

Looked very effective to me on the left wing against Hull. He’s been out a little while and needs to get some match sharpness. He’ll be a very good replacement for Ramazani if sidelined with injury.
23 Oct 2024 12:24:58
Leeds slowed considerably and deteriorated rapidly when Solomon came on .
Not impressed by him (so far)
23 Oct 2024 12:39:07
*tackle. not "title" above.
23 Oct 2024 17:20:38
I like Gnonto but he never looks up to see what options he has all he dose is shoot and hope. Firpo is a liability a good player but to may cards for my liking.
Solomon needs time to get fit, We look very well Organised at the start the injury just changed everything as for them they have been too good sides already we did well to keep it 2-1.not a good game but 3 points so it don’t matter.
23 Oct 2024 17:29:35
Yeah clearly fitness is an issue on his day the most talented player in the leauge but needs march fitness hopefully he will get there sooner rather than later.
23 Oct 2024 18:00:30
Most talented?
Way prefer he is most effective . goals and assists
Fulham fans didn't rate Manor
' one trick pony . cuts inside and shoots'
" pretty ineffective "
" be out injured 80% of time "
Reckon he might get Leeds 3 goals 5 assists this season. not great.
23 Oct 2024 18:08:42
Don’t think anyone other than baz boy would doubt his talent no one else in this leauge is playing at champions leauge standard but I do agree effectiveness is far more useful than talent. Leauge is the man for me but my mate dan James also improved us last night. Looking forward to seeing him again and getting another signed shirt from him when I vist my beloved walk in a few weeks.
23 Oct 2024 19:38:31
Playing in CL Berma is not a given that a player is " talented"
. Jacob Burns, Jason Wilcox, Danny Mills all played for Leeds United in Champions league . they were all hardworking . but talented?
23 Oct 2024 20:00:51
As usual chief talent spotter Baz gives a player who is not yet match fit 10 mins to get a hat trick and 5 assists or brands them useless ?.
23 Oct 2024 20:27:20
Burns wasn’t really a main stay was he so that’s another baz doing a baz to make him right ain’t it?
Wilcox and mills were talented footballers who n there positions. Think what you put there is but disrespectful to be honest I’m sad attempt to point score with me
And you say your in my head. Tut tut very sad.

Let me help you out there Alfie Cuppa ;
the word you are looking for so far for Manor Solomon contribution to LUFC success is at best a tad " underwhelming "
We already have had one quarter of season and so far he has contributed one assist ( whilst racking up around £450,000 in wages so far. )
Marvellous Alfonzo ?.
23 Oct 2024 22:45:25
I quite liked Jason Wilcox a hardworking pro with a decent left foot Bermo. but give over on Danny Mills he was pony .
23 Oct 2024 23:45:15
Clearly you do not like Manor Solomon at Leeds Baz, to put things into perspective, Dan James has played less than Solomon with no goals or assists but who has had an injury like Solomon.
Try not to be so blinkered in your views.
24 Oct 2024 01:48:23
OP try and stick to facts . DJ scored against Sheff Wed . and has played well in all his games bar one.
24 Oct 2024 03:23:14
One goal contribution each, similar salaries (and that’s assuming we’re paying all of Manor’s salary) . One is pony and a waste of salary, the other is the best player ever and Farke must start him every game even on just leg.
24 Oct 2024 05:09:51
Brockers one contributed 20 plus goals last season for LUFC.
24 Oct 2024 06:05:20
Not a fan of Solomon. Seems to be a selfish player in that he's A. A tad greedy and B. Doesn't work back defensively. The difference between him and Ramazani was night and day. We lost so much intensity. Plus I'm not really sold on Solomon as being a very incisive winger who creates a lot of opportunity.
Not really happy that we're paying 60k for a player that we're still waiting to be fit. He's had, at best, half a decent game for us against Hull. If we're paying 60k a week then he needs to be consistently match fit. Which he hasn't been. And performing well. Which remains to be seen. Very underwhelmed with the signing so far.
Which leads me to DJ. I retract my sentiment about him being fourth choice. He's definitely third now. I prefer him to start over Solomon if Ramazani is out injured. He showed more in those 15 mins than Solomon did all game. Our chance creation went up massively with DJ and Joseph being on instead of Solomon and Piroe.
Furthermore, I think Somomon looks a bit overweight.
24 Oct 2024 06:24:13
Very welcome logical post Dill .
24 Oct 2024 07:19:01
In the game against Hull, Solomon was unplayable in the first half and had the crowd standing. He got a standing ovation when he was subbed. Personally I thought he had an excellent game that day, but tired leading up to his substitution.
I always find it strange (then again, do I? ) how folks flip-flop on opinion. It’s only a few weeks ago, when he got injured, that it was a “disaster” around here, and how were we ever going to cope without him.
I think he will prove a few doubters wrong.
24 Oct 2024 07:50:46
Don’t get me wrong, I like DJ (and more than Solomon) . I just don’t like posters using one thing to unfairly blast a player, when the exact same thing can be said about their hero player (and they can’t seem to understand there might be an acceptable middle ground between amazing and awful) .
24 Oct 2024 13:21:08
What 'Exact same thing ' Brockers
Not even you can deny that Solomon haa been out injured for large parts of his career. ( DJ has not. for starters played in most games last season 2nd top scorer)
Many others ( including Dill and myself ) warned that MS was an unwise signing . hopefully he proves us wrong but 1/ 4 of season gone so far he has not)
24 Oct 2024 13:23:17
. oh and btw Brockers MS is on 60K a week
DJ is on 20K to 25K a week ( 50% - 60% relegation clause )
24 Oct 2024 15:16:28
Dan James is on £50K a week, and we are not paying Solomon's entire salary, so I suspect, they are probably being paid a similar amount by Leeds; however, how an earth can it matter in a discussion about whether a player is good at football? Is Patrick Bamford our best player?
Baz, James made 40 appearances for Leeds last season; I think technically that's "most" games.
24 Oct 2024 16:26:09
Ani. reported widely that all players who were R with Leeds are on reduced 50% salary in Champo.
