Wilson close to signing according to Joe Tiffany on X.
06 Jun 2026 00:34:07
I'd take that!
06 Jun 2026 00:42:46
Would be very good but unlikely imo.
2/10 likelihood.
What huge salary is he and his agent after, for starters?
And, are there not other bigger, higher salary paying clubs also in the race to sign him.. Villa, Newcastle, Everton, Spurs, Overseas etc.
06 Jun 2026 00:58:54
Would be nice if a player was interested in the project, and has some loyalty for a team that was prepared to pay for him, as well as wanting to play with his mates.
I agree with Baz, it's a low probability, but would improve us significantly, I'd say.
06 Jun 2026 01:13:46
He was close to signing for us in Jan, but it didn't happen then, so is it more likely to happen now? Given the past unreliability of the source, I'll not be holding my breath.
06 Jun 2026 06:42:41
I'm gonna have to add a copyright on the likelihood / possibility rating system, I'm afraid, Baz. Can't have you stealing that one. 😬😂
06 Jun 2026 07:21:42
Brighty, 😆
But seeing as my version is a significant upgrade improvement on your version; BazCorp has already obtained the copyright.
06 Jun 2026 09:32:38
Joe Tiffany is the biggest wind-up merchant around, can ignore whatever he says, 100% nonsense
06 Jun 2026 10:08:54
Yep, thought it was uber unlikely, PeanutKing, or PK.
05 Jun 2026 14:20:49
Karl Darlow expected to leave the club following an offer from Tottenham.
05 Jun 2026 17:33:25
What offer?
Very bad news if true.
Likelihood rating 2/10.
05 Jun 2026 18:32:38
That Spurs rumour has been bouncing around for a few days. If we make a fair offer, and he's our no. 1, he'll stay. He won't be no. 1 at Spurs. I think he's done enough this season to deserve a decent contract. He didn't start off as no. 1, but he didn't sulk, and he took the opportunity when it came.
05 Jun 2026 19:55:04
He may not be number one at Spurs, but, if, as expected, we look for a new goalkeeper, he won't be number one here either. It will all come down to who offers him the most financially attractive deal. He's now 35, so his next deal, wherever it is, will likely be his last, certainly at Premier League level.
05 Jun 2026 20:12:50
Doesn't matter if he's not number 1 at Spurs, at his age they'll defo be offering him more cash.
05 Jun 2026 20:16:27
Leeds allegedly after a new gk, you say?
That would be ok if Leeds United recruitment were adept at doing so, but let's not forget, Underwood and Co brought us the most very underwhelming, at times calamitous, Lucas Perri last season, and for a large transfer fee.
I therefore have very little to zero confidence in them recruiting a good gk (s) this summer.
Darlow should defo remain Leeds United number 1 gk for the next 2 seasons, and as such, be rewarded with a very good new 2 year LUFC contract.
05 Jun 2026 20:43:37
Agree, Baz. There's the old adages: 'better the devil you know' and 'if it's not broke, don't mend it'. Darlow has done ok, and where do you find a keeper for next to nothing? Trafford, Ramsdale, etc.
are £20m plus, and Pope is a cheaper alternative, but is he any better? If we want to get rid of Perri, which I don't, then keep Darlow, and get Dubravka for a small fee as no. 2.
05 Jun 2026 20:48:19
Indeed Dune.
Both old adages apply here.
#very concerned. 😟
06 Jun 2026 09:33:28
Baz, so you don't think we can sign a good keeper even though 90% of our summer business was great?
06 Jun 2026 10:58:51
PK, I have alluded to this before. Leeds United recruitment of gks in the recent past has been woeful, with the exception of Karl Darlow. It has been woeful, and Underwood, Marathe and Co continued that with signing Perri.
We have had
Perri, Meslier, Kiko, Klaessen and Wieldwald..
06 Jun 2026 11:00:27
And steady on our summer business being 'great'.. It was overall quite good.
06 Jun 2026 16:40:23
Funny ain't it that in years past we had some of the best goalkeepers around. David Harvey, David Stewart, John Lukic, Mervyn Day, Paul Robinson, Kasper Schmeichel, Paddy Kenny, Rob Green, plus the one that got away, David Seaman, and the best of the lot, Nigel Martyn.
06 Jun 2026 17:39:15
Ten excellent Leeds United goalkeepers there JR (We're claiming Leeds United youth keeper David Seaman. He is proper Leeds, and has always been a huge Leeds United fan.)
Other talented Leeds United goalkeepers (apart from the obvious Gary Sprake) .
1) Neil Sullivan. very reliable and saved a lot of penalties for Leeds from memory.
2) Scott Carson had a good (ish) career.
And
3) A Leeds United goalkeeper before our time.
Called Jimmy Potts.
A giant of a goalkeeper, a very good shotstopper, with 71 clean sheets in 263 appearances, apparently.
05 Jun 2026 11:11:28
Rumour in the Yorkshire Evening Post that we're thinking of a loan deal with Barcelona for Roony Bardghji, a highly rated 20 yr old Swedish right winger. Since Barcelona still owe us around €42m (£36.5m) on the Raphina deal, maybe we could offer them a small reduction in that debt in exchange for a free loan deal, maybe with an option to buy too.
05 Jun 2026 11:57:45
They've just bought Gordon, and the Rashford deal isn't dead if they can lever the fee down a bit, so Bardghji is probably way down the pecking order. I'd read that Barca were keen to sell. They paid EUR2m for him a year ago on a four-year contract, but want substantially more. Interest from several PL clubs, allegedly.
05 Jun 2026 13:12:43
Fairly sure Leeds have confirmed the fee for Raph has been paid. They may owe someone else, as someone loaned the money to pay us, though.
05 Jun 2026 13:22:44
The Rapha thing is all cleared up a long time ago. The lad is defo worth a butchers tho.
05 Jun 2026 13:44:06
Reading further, you're probably right, Canada, but looking him up on YouTube, he looks quite tasty. He's listed as a right winger, but is two-footed, with a stronger left, and would work well as a CAM. An upgrade on BA for sure.
05 Jun 2026 14:11:35
Raphinha fee was paid ages ago.
Barcelona owe the funds to the backer who paid us.
Don't want Roony on loan unless it's a loan with obligation. Don't want to be developing players who won't be staying around.
05 Jun 2026 15:01:54
Fake story.
05 Jun 2026 15:51:47
Always hard to tell, so many players are great in one league and useless in another, due to speed, physicality, standards, etc., differences.
06 Jun 2026 04:16:19
Oi Oi. Has that geezer changed his name, or are there two miserable gits that are not in the know?
Been linked with half of Europe already, and the window is not open yet. No lack of squad depth next season. Most likely, once the window opens, it will be quiet for two months.
06 Jun 2026 11:53:38
Is it Smythe in disguise, d'you reckon, Aus? 😬😂😂
06 Jun 2026 13:33:09
Must be bright. Thanks for getting it. 👍
04 Jun 2026 13:04:14
Leeds United linked with signing Charleroi and Algeria midfielder Yassine Titraoui.
Marseille also believed to be interested as are ahem blooming surprise surprise Sunderland.
We've seen this movie last summer. So will it be a Non or a Oui?
Baz Rating of Likelihood 5/10.
04 Jun 2026 16:45:06
Hull may be in the mix as well, but I agree, I don't think he'll end up at ER. The Humberside press is also linking Hull with Delap, but his wages, £100k per week, won't fit into their structure.
05 Jun 2026 01:35:39
Have Sunderland got more than us to spend again this window?
Obviously, they have euro as a carrot.
02 Jun 2026 20:33:19
West Ham want over 80 mill for Fernandez. Surely no club will pay anywhere near that for a player who was only half decent in a relegation team?
Ok, maybe he was excellent in the games I didn’t watch but watching the Hammers quite a lot towards the end of the season he was decent at best.
If he’s worth 80 mill then Stach is worth 120 million and Gruev is worth 30.
He’ll probably go on to be the next Xavi now!
03 Jun 2026 07:26:48
He's a cracking player and still young, but you're right; they're tekkin the wazz a lot there! Will go for just over 50, I reckon.
03 Jun 2026 22:39:38
For £80 million I'd expect him to score against Raya from four. Yards out, let alone three.
04 Jun 2026 13:23:51
Forest reject bid from Man City for Anderson. Allegedly looking for £100m plus. Might happen if City were willing to spend well above that on Grealish. Makes the fees for Amps and Stach absolute bargains. Good, he's staying for a few more years.
31 May 2026 11:53:12
Nathan Ake the next name on the list that's growing by the day! 3/10, not likely!
31 May 2026 12:42:18
How about this one, Brighty.
99.5% of players listed/rumoured.. won't actually sign for Leeds United this summer.
Baz Book of Likelihood 10/10.
31 May 2026 16:52:03
Not gonna argue!
But given it's a rumours site, I share what I hear or read. Won't be stopping sharing just because they're unlikely!
31 May 2026 17:15:01
Fair, Bright.
01 Jun 2026 01:07:14
Contrarywise, a fair proportion of the players who do sign for Leeds will do so, never having previously been rumoured to be coming.
01 Jun 2026 06:55:51
Absolutely, JR!
30 May 2026 16:58:02
TeamTalk saying we're interested in Wolves' defender Krejci. Not bad at all, but given Wolves triggered a £26m buy option, we would have to be in that region for them to make sense.
31 May 2026 17:46:36
What did we pay for Bijol? £18m. He's been good, and should only get better for having a season in the PL under his belt. He took a while to secure his place, but once he did, he's been well worth the money.
Not sure that £26m for Krejci is as good a deal.
30 May 2026 12:50:48
Leeds in talks to sign Tyrone Mings.
30 May 2026 13:51:07
Don't like the sound of it at all. He's only played 32 times across the last three seasons combined. He's not even a free agent unless they are willing to rip up his contract. Him going to newly promoted old club Ipswich would surely make more sense.
I get the link and clamour that he would be the experienced backup option. Not a fan though.
30 May 2026 14:21:12
Please no.. well past it, Mings.
03 Jun 2026 18:42:22
Seen him a few times - he's got at least one mistake in him every game. We don't want another Pascal - we need an upgrade with every signing we make.
30 May 2026 11:14:23.
Matty Targett being lined up on a free when he leaves the barcodes. I can see legs in this one! 7/10 in the Bright Book of Possibility!
30 May 2026 12:54:36
We won't be the only ones looking at him. He's had a good season at Middlesbrough, and stayed fit. He's left-footed, provides good cover, and is an upgrade on Byram. I think these sorts of deals are no-brainers.
Unless you're picking up a real talent at a cheap price, we still need the sort of players who won't start every week but can do a job when called on. That leaves more money for the three or four main targets - striker, AM, etc.
30 May 2026 13:53:51
Think this makes a lot more sense than Mings.
He's stayed healthy, would likely accept that he starts behind Gudmundsson, but at the same time be honestly trying to push him. Good enough to step in for Gabby when injured or suspended, or in cup games.
2 yr deal makes sense and as OG post says, won't break the bank.
It raises the floor in the position, even if I preferred we went out and tried for Hartmann or Diouf myself.
01 Jun 2026 01:12:19
Similar sort of player to Krejci and a damn site cheaper.
