You were watching SC playing in a weakish level Champo last seez, against Champ players (not EPL players) .

Saints, for most of seez, were bossing it, scoring 86 Champo goals.

SC has a good shot, but bottom line, he was only good for 4 of Saints' 86 goals, and he had a mere 2 assists in the Saints' Champo campaign. Hmm.



SC also failed to score in 34 matches in the previous season to that.

So yeah. meh imo.

Yes, he is an energetic player (but we already have energetic players of okish EPL quality) , we don't need yet another!

I would rather Leeds signed 2 to 3 overseas proven quality attacking £30 million plus players, who will definitely make a big difference to our first 11 quality.

I think the good thing about Sc, which has been discussed before, is that he can play in a number of positions - DM, AM, FB and CB. If he does come, then I think one of the current midfield players will leave. If Ao left, then it would certainly be a big plus for our ability to spend big in other areas.

Well I'm nearly 49, born and raised in Leeds, still work in town and they've been talking about the tram in some guise or another ever since I can remember. Lates date I hear mentioned is 2040. It's easy for councillors to to talk about things happening that far away because they know they won't be in the same job by then.

Half of town is pedestrian now so where is it going to go? Not happening in my lifetime (I mean I'm overweight, get no exercise and drink too much so 2040 could still be on!)

The tram system has now got the go ahead, albeit with phase 1 not scheduled to start til the late 2030s, so are they going to start the North Stand extension as soon as the West Stand is completed, or wait til the late 2030s - hypothetical question? However, since we in Britain are piss poor at delivering such projects on time and on budget, the chances of it ever happening are still in doubt.

Irrespective of whether it's true or not, the rumours section does not profess to be accurate. However, the same description could be provided to the majority of the football-based internet sites, whose primary purpose is to attract enough followers to flog advertising, which in turn pays the salaries of the contributors.



It's all just a bit of harmless fun. If it bothers some, I would recommend just focusing on the other sections of this site.

Personally, I thoroughly enjoy the speculations, however far-fetched, especially those historically provided by Alf and LAD.

Well, one thing is very likely re Harry Wilson. Don't expect him to make a decision by the end of this week.

As there are these scenarios.

1) Harry Wilson is waiting on a potential move to a Champions League club. Villa are waiting to see if Morgan Rogers leaves Villa (with Villa then possibly interested in him) .



Or.

2) Harry Wilson is waiting to see who Fulham recruit as coach before possibly deciding to accept a lucrative new contract.

Or.

3) Harry Wilson wants to play with his Welsh mates at Leeds.

Hmm, we shall see. probably in August.

I totally get we only really know when a player is actually signed, but some people do hear things from insiders within clubs. I still hear Brighton insider gossip from a mate, and accept most doesn't come to fruition, but he does get early scoops, like medicals and agents visiting the training ground, etc.


He told me Verbruggen's agent is not very welcome at the Amex Central just now, as he's been a pain in their butt since they first signed him and is desperate to leave. Don't rate him personally, as he has a simple error in him most games.

Maybe there were, but to be clear I'm not talking simply about rumours being discussed on fans forums like this one, I love them and reference them myself frequently, some turn out to have a germ of truth in them, most turn out to be pie in the sky. No, I'm referring to stories like the one at the top of this thread which said "talks for Harry Wilson on a free progressing, could be done this week", that statement claims a level of knowledge that I doubt that the writer possesses - unless he's planted a bug in Adam Underwood's office.

As Baz says, Wilson has a number of options, and I for one don't anticipate him reaching a decision til much later in the window, but that's just my guesswork. Leeds have likely agreed framework terms with him in anticipation of a move, probably so too have Villa and Everton and maybe others, but that means nothing til he finally makes a decision, what that will be we'll all have to wait and see.

Think people are vastly overexaggerating the interest Harry Wilson is getting. He's 29 and has one properly good Prem season in his career. He isn't getting Champions League teams sniffing around.

He's settling for £100k p/w and three years (something Fulham aren't willing to do) at a middling Prem club - Leeds.

Don't think I'm being harsh, Aus. Leeds have almost certainly had exploratory contract talks with Wilson via his agent, maybe other clubs too. However, for reasons of commercial confidentiality, all knowledge of those discussions will almost certainly be confined to a very small group at ER, and for any outsider to imply that they know how talks are progressing is manifestly absurd.
