A move for Solly is back on the cards. apparently Solly wants to return.
26 Aug 2025 11:36:38
Feels like a backwards step. What is happening with Bakwa?
26 Aug 2025 12:13:47
Smacks of desperation.
Our attack is arguably on a level with last season.
We were promised stardust they so far deliver sawdust.
If soloman is the level changer then just accept relegation, but my biggest worry/ annoyance is the club with its business seem to already have 1 eye back in the championship next year.

Solomon is a premier league player. Just because he was in our attack last year, doesn't mean he's championship player. He improves our team as it stands and whilst there are better players in the world, this is a signing I would welcome with open arms.
Still more to be done though, we need four wingers capable of starting. I think with Gnonto, James, Solo, we have three great options for a rotation based attack. We need a fourth and a consistently fit striker that the current set can supplement.
For me Solomon, one more winger and a decent striker represents a remarkable transfer window. It could always be better but I don't buy into the negativity.

Solomon, was far and away our most effective player last season, we have no other players who can beat a full back one on one more than he did, he knows the club he knows the league and he’s an international captaining his county.
I fail to see how that says relegation, we’re not signing players who we expect to dominate against the top six we’re signing players who can give us a chance in our own little league encompassing the other fourteen teams we have a shot of beating this year.
Money is not the sole determining factor in signing players, likelihood of relegation, European football, popular cities such as London and Manchester considered a bigger draw.
We are doing our best in a very difficult situation.

I think with 10 new additions and those that have left we only have space for two more signings that takes us up to the allowed 25 man squad rules of the EPL.
If Solomon comes in which feels extremely likely then that so called Marquee signing and saving the best till last will be?
I've no idea either.
26 Aug 2025 13:35:18
I don't get the negativity. Solomon was o e of our best players last season.
He knows the team and can play well. Bring him home.
26 Aug 2025 13:52:59
I loved Solomon tbh. Easily our best player in the 2nd half of the season, and much more dangerous than say Gnonto or Harrison. Still think its a playmaker we need the most though.
26 Aug 2025 14:02:53
I'll bet anything you want that a yuge* striker will be signed for us before the window closes.
*£50 million~.

Backwards come on as sub for Strasbourg in their last 2 games and got an assist both times. Suggests to me he's going nowhere, unless maybe they're working on getting someone in to replace him.
26 Aug 2025 14:13:17
I agree with the positive Solomon comments by the way (though I'm not sure he will be available after they lost out on Eze) . He was too good for the Championship. Doesn't mean he's Champions League, we don't need him to be. Quality player with a good attitude who wants to be at the club and a target we could realistically land if Spurs can get themselves an upgrade.
26 Aug 2025 14:22:53
Good post that class. Solo for 18 or bakwa for 35. Mmmmm. Tough one that. Although I’d still expect 25-30 on a striker.
26 Aug 2025 14:55:04
The best argument to "I don't understand the Solomon hate" argument is Dan James. I thought that he developed massively last year and I personally think he was better than Solomon last year. He's really struggled in the last two games.
I don't think the champo to the premier league is linear though, so fingers crossed. But we have definitely dropped quiet a few levels from the pool of talent we started in.
26 Aug 2025 15:03:13
If Soloman isn't good enough then neither are Rodon, Struijk, Bogle, Tanaka, Ampadu, James, Piroe etc as Soloman was as good as any Leeds player was last season.
26 Aug 2025 15:54:11
How is Solomon a Premier League player?
He's played 600 Premier League minutes in his career, flippin Jack Harrison is more of a Prem player than he is.
26 Aug 2025 16:33:13
No Solly no promotion - simple as that. He has EPL and UCL experience. Honestly some people are never happy. Good to see a lot of positive responses to this.
26 Aug 2025 17:41:01
I don't think Jack Harrison's 170 Premier League matches makes him twice the player Coke Palmer is, three times better than Morgan Rogers, nine times better than Adam Wharton or infinitesimally better than Max Dowman who's played less than 30 minutes. No doubt Max has got time on his side so he might improve.
26 Aug 2025 17:55:14
James played better because of Solomon. James looks lost without him.
With okafor playing 10 and him and stach feeding the wings and (new signing) we have a good quality attack. Is it a top six contender? No, but it's enough for mid table which is where we need to be in the first year.
26 Aug 2025 19:47:11
Dolly was fab but he’s only being aught because underwood and co think that will keep the fans happy
It won’t you could have snapped him up but thought you had better ideas but due to the fact he’s a nobody in the football world agents don’t wanna know.
26 Aug 2025 20:33:09
So agents don't wanna deal with us because of underwood, despite us being a PL club with money to spend, that's just as good as the money anyone else can spend?
I think agents will line their pockets with money from a bin man if it lines their pockets sufficiently? Doesn't matter if it's an inexperienced bin man either!
