I’m almost certain I will stand alone on the belief that we will beat Arsenal this weekend.
There are several elements that make me believe that we can create a massive upset.
Those points are:
1. We are at Elland rd
2. Arsenal are pressure phobia
3. We don’t give a toss who you are, we are Leeds Utd ⚽️✊?.

Agree7 Disagree0

I too believe we will beat Arsenal OP. My reasoning is, they are on a bad run, find it hard to score from open play and we are good at defending set pieces now whereas they are vulnerable from the same and we are good.

It's at ER. The players will be kicking themselves after last night and wanting to prove a point. We are Leeds, nuff said.

My friends say that I'm one of the world's biggest optimists, but I find it difficult to agree with you.

Can we win? Without doubt we can, on their day anyone can beat anyone else in this league.

Will we win? I don't believe so, but will be overjoyed to be proved wrong.

PS Even a draw would be fantastic, especially if combined with Spam losing at Chelski and Florists v Palace.

When we were tanked at the Emirates, I bet my mate that we would ruin their title bid when we played them at Elland Road. I knew we would be another animal by the time we played them again. I still believe we can and will get something from the game, even victory.

Looking forward to the game and watching it happen.

Nope. Yer not alone. I think we can, and will sneak it.

It's possible to win but also an argument to rest a few players and just take a free hit. There are more winnable games coming up soon and we could do with a fully fit squad with juice in the tank.

JR16 if we can play like we did first halt anything is possible football is a funny old game.

I would argue, that Liverpool away was a bigger ask than a nervous Arsenal at home, and we got something from that game.

I find it hard to understand how we are tired playing once a week, unless we are genuinely losing match fitness in-between?

I will be there, and all I want is for us to totally go for it; if we lose as a result, then that is the "free hit" element.

In the Premier league you are facing off against world class athletes and it is a very physical game. It's tiring for players to compete at that level and even more so if they are up against players who are better than they are.

We work harder than most team looking at the stats so tiredness does have an impact. Having a lack of depth in the squad also has an impact.

Rugby is very physical Alf, football is a game of darts in comparison, running is the hardest part of football nowadays

Almost zero contact allowed now sadly.

I played both Chris, and you're right, they are immensely different. And require different types of fitness, and are exhausting in different ways. You cover much more ground in a much shorter time in soccer, which is a more constant, high tempo drain. They're equally exhausting imo.

{Ed001's Note - professional rugby has longer times in between matches, purposely as players have to heal bruises etc from the contact. So it is exhausting to play one match, more exhausting than footie, but it is the constant grind of matches that is the issue in football, with less rest. That is why the extra ground covered in modern footie is such an issue.}
