Well I am amazed, who the hell cares if a player is fruity or black or Muslim or whatever as long as he does the job, to talk about wearing dresses and such and thinking it is funny dismays me, I am 71 and come from an era of racist comments and sexual innuendos but these are not part of today's standards and have no place on this site, if you have thoughts of this nature keep them to yourselves and concentrate on football.

I was surprised with the comments old. I don’t really know what they are about. I presume he is gay or likes dressing up in women’s clothes. Who cares as long as he stays injury free and bangs In the goals. Must admit I prefer a skirt ( or as the Scot’s call it, a kilt) over trousers. Way more comfortable ?.

Oh give over already. Nobody cares what people do, but there's a difference between having a laugh and being a moral busy body.
I grew up in the era of girl power, positive energy and happiness. We took the piss out of everyone, gay, straight, black, white, women, men, because it was all in good jest.
Sensitive namby pambys and humourless killjoys are why everything is seen as offensive nowadays. To think anyone needs to be told that they are people first is condescending.
I can take the piss out of the fella for being a fruit, dress wearing fanny and celebrate his goals, praise his dedication to the shirt and respect him as a professional.
Besides, the fella is worth millions, I'm sure a few hurty words online will mean nowt to him while he's driving around in lambos.

Alas MoT, the good old days of banter and humour crossing all boundaries seems to have floundered. I am a big devotee of Python, Spike and Dave Allen who were basically commenting on the ludicrousy of life and it was always give and take wiv a giggle. Now your lips seems to need to censor what your mouth is going to spit out. Tis a shame we have lost the ability to laugh at ourselves.

I absolutely appreciate you point Right, but I never commented on the DCL thing, makes no difference to me anyone's preferences as long as they are a decent human being. We all have our life, just that we should be able to rise above and laugh at ludicrously of life, after all, ain't no point getting bent out of shape over something you have no control over.

Er, did I not say that I appreciated Rights points? At no point did I persecute Right for his opinion, the quote was fron the life of Brian which is again a comment on life. I have no problem with criticism, just being abused and quite honestly I don't get where being a bigoted old codger comes from, but thank you, I have been called worse. I have no truck with anyone ED and I have been on this site a Long time. I have apologised a couple of times now, which has not been acknowledged, but

{Ed001's Note - ok mate. I was never going to ban you, I don't know why you would say that. Like I said, all it would have taken is you for you not to end that paragraph with what turned it all into a big derogatory dig at others. It is exactly the same thing that bigots like Musk and Trump do when someone is offended by them. They call them snowflakes, rather than just acknowledging that what they said was wrong. It is the armour they use and it is just not something that should have been used.
Secondly, was there any need to call me out and basically accuse me of hypocrisy over something someone else said? What was the point in that? If I had said it, fine, dig me out because I would deserve it, but it quite clearly wasn't me.
As for the apologies, I apologise for not acknowledging them as I should have. I allowed my annoyance at you having a dig, piled on top a very abusive last few days on the sites (which is normal for the transfer window to be fair but sometimes you don't realise how much it piles up when you are not having the best of days for other reasons) to cloud my judgement. So my apologies to you as well. And also for being too reactionary. I should have explained my point calmly rather than jumping down your throat. It is the snowflake thing, I constantly read racists and bigots using it to have digs at people I care about using that. It drives me mad, just like the woke thing, which now seems to be the constant dig at anyone doesn't think being racist etc is ok.
That is my fault for not doing my normal response tactic. When something annoys me, I usually write a response, then delete it. Do it again and again and again. Eventually i start actually producing a decent response, rather than just snapping back. I didn't do that then and that is on me and something I have to accept as my failing here, apologies.}
