Mmm tricky DDS I think it’s so very tight in terms of player of the season, at this time, it’s just too tight to call.

Good idea DDSW for me AO been brilliant all season and totally committed. Bogle has been terrific after a bit of a dodgy start his only failing for me is his final ball is a bit hit and miss but he has as you say been a good acquisition.

As a side question, can anyone remember a loan player that did so well who actually got BETTER when he was signed permanently?
Baz, personally I don't think the defence was particularly jittery when Meslier was in nets. The regular 4 ( 5 if we count Ampadu's contribution) have all been immense despite him. He only made the fans jittery.

Meslier also made a LOT of critical saves that kept us in games and contributed massively to us gaining points. its just easier to remember the negative ones (especially for negative, plastic fans)

What statistics fail to deliver is how much a goalkeeper is protected by his defenders, our defenders are more attack minded than Burnley’s which often leaves Meslier more exposed. Our set piece defending is not that good either which also places more responsibility on Meslier, hence more chance of making an error.

Ujdeniably Darlow looks so much more asaured than shaky Mes with those attack minded defenders. Trafford would too in comparison.

I’ve got to agree to your post OP, really good points made about Meslier and something we should not forget is the amount of games he has played well and won us points, it’s just a a shame that it’s come to this, but there is still a very good keeper in Meslier.
