I've made my position quite clear over Meslier and so I'm not going to labour that point anymore but hearing Farke's latest press conference I am now even more firmly in the Farke out at the end of the season brigade because blind faith, belligerent inflexible, dogmatism to the enth degree and playing Russian roulette with the club's future is not my idea of a suitable manager to lead Leeds United onto bigger and better things.
I hope to God Almighty that the team can get promoted in spite of Farke's self harming actions and if the tone of his press conference is actually a heads up to all supporters to not expect any new squad strengthening January acquisitions to cement out top two position and this becomes a reality then I'm actually very doubtful we'll maintain our automatic promotion favourites tag much beyond the March time period of the season.
I do not want us to spend another year in the Championship but it appears to me at this present moment that if the heirarchy are also on board with Farke's way and they figuratively speaking at least withhold the purse strings this month in another uninspiring January transfer window then they obviously enjoy playing Russian roulette too.
Hopefully there is new player transfer business being done behind the scenes and my concerns like everyone else will not be realised and despite his best efforts to not have a hatrick of automatic promotions on his cv Daniel Farke can walk away from Elland Road this summer with that accolade achieved but not before he has put us all through the ringer which seems to be the Farke way.

Another top post Cheshire.

Don't read too much into what is said in press conferences. Coaches and players say certain things in certain ways to the media because they have to try and keep their paymasters and the team happy. Honestly take it all with a pinch of salt and just wait and see what happens.

I really don't get the Farke negativity, we are top, we are playing reasonably well, give or take the odd Mez up and we were the last team in 25 years not to get promoted from the championship with 90 points. Throw the guy a bone why don't ya.

Dougie . but revisit this post in May.

Another adroit post from Cheshire.

In your view it will be playing Russian roulette to not drop Meslier and splash out money on overpriced players who may or may not improve the squad.
Bringing in more players in January doesn’t guarantee success, it is more than credible to say that by doing precisely that could potentially be the gamble.
The formula is working already as we are top of the league and gaining more momentum, why in danger that? What ain’t broke doesn’t need fixing.
if we are promoted it will prove that Farkes decision making was correct and a masterstroke, rather than gamble with another keeper and unknown players.
To not give any credit to Farke if promoted and to brand him as reckless in his decision making believing he just got lucky wouldn’t surprise me coming from the pure blind arrogance of some fans.
It’s not reckless spending or panic buying that will win promotion more the shrewd and tactical decision making by the manager.

How do you look back on previous posts from others and your own?
10 Jan 2025 07:53:20
We may be top of the league but by the skin of our teeth, when you look at things they always look good but you have to see the deep down problem as made by Cheshire white. Yes we can keep dropping points and nick 3 every now and then but other team are doing more if it stays like that??♂️??♂️.

Dougie . take photos and notes lol.
10 Jan 2025 08:33:43
OP dear
Bringing in new players in Jan worked veey successfully for promoted teams Sheff Utd and Villa in 2019 and for Ipswich and Southampton in 2024
Whereas in these seasons Leeds United unwisely did little in Jan window.
10 Jan 2025 08:43:10
Exactly Whitey 100%.
10 Jan 2025 09:07:20
We will always drop points, no team can win every game of the season.
I really don’t understand why so many think we should be romping this league by 10 to 15 points, as if we do that every season. Or like we have ever done that.
10 Jan 2025 15:06:52
OP It's due to fundamental logic developed by philosophical thinkers such as the Greeks. Goes along these lines. "But for" Mes abject displays against Portsmouth, Sunderland and Hull, we would have an extra 6 points in our total.
Currently, 1 point ahead + that 6 cited above + probably another 6 to come (20 league games left, more howler opportunities) = 13.
13 is virtually in the middle of your 10 to 15 range.
Is it clear now?
10 Jan 2025 16:14:18
Georgey bro . it's always been been crystal clear to dear OP but he will never admit so.
10 Jan 2025 16:31:02
No because you don’t equate the points he’s won for us.
Is that clear now?
10 Jan 2025 18:01:33
OP Points won? ????
Just tell me those fixtures this season when that happened! Good luck. Use internet and past journalism to assist.
Is there truly a good, neutral or even bad journo who wrote along the following lines this season:
A sure goal LUFC would have surely conceded but for the goalkeeping heroics of the Frenchman.
Separately, please remember clean sheets is a team stat.
10 Jan 2025 19:02:45
Spot on Georgey.
Last time Meslier won Leeds points was lass season at Leicester.
10 Jan 2025 23:05:09
Not going bother you pair, it has no interest for me to even try and make a debate with you, enjoy your evening.
11 Jan 2025 02:12:22
So checkmate OP.

Definitely not Baz, I can’t be bothered to argue my point to you two as I find it a waste of my life.
