Ya they are, is it for moisture needs or drying clothes inside, that's a new craze now instead of rumble dryer and lots cheaper.

23 Jan 2026 10:41:41
Yep and great for drying clothes in a cold room.

Yes and yes, Corkey but like all things you get what you pay for.

Our house 15th century so a necessary piece of equipment for us.

About 20 yrs ago, and while it was great then, it must be utter cack compared to modern ones! #DOT #dehumidifyingOnTogether.

So that 1492 class?

23 Jan 2026 14:21:46
Thanks for the replies lads.
Got the house insulated last year so moisture builds up fast. Basically needed for drying clothes in a spare room and for cleaner air upstairs .
Not sure how much to stump up on one?

See what you did there Aus! There’s a plaque on the house says 1500 so only just squeezed in.

Our current one (3years) Corkey, circa £180 but quiet, economical to run very good for drying rooms, clothes.

We learnt the hard way the £50 ones aren’t the way to go.

Cheers Class.
