Thread was getting to long so thought I'd kick it off again. Over the last couple days you have said that both Brighton and west ham pushed us back opti. Both poor teams who shouldn't have been capable of pushing us back. Ok Brighton have got talent but still leak goals. Except against us.
You can't keep saying it's the players fault all the time.
At one point we had a free kick on the wing 10 yards outside the penalty area. Within 3 passes it was back with Rodon. Even the commentators were astounded.

It was stated that we should stop thinking we are better than we are. And I get that. This team is worse than last season.
It's just not farkes inabilities. It's a bit of everything. Players out of form. Bad passing. Bad tactics. Maybe the out of form players should be rested. But oh no. That won't happen. It's not good enough when amps ba dcl ( always ) stach etc play poorly and are picked again. Change is needed everywhere. Team selection, tactics and manager.

Well Aus i don't pretend to know what the answers are but really don't think sacking DF is going to be a silver bullet, it's down to him and the lads to sort it. But if it was true what Alf said about him being gone if we didn't beat Wet Spam then his coat must be on a shakey nail.

But one thing is for sure, if we continue in that vein away from home then it will also impact home performances by pressure increasing on them and confidence being eroded. Let's hope we see a performance like the Bournemouth one on Sunday then we can all rest a bit easier.

Well how to you explain how we outplayed Everton and won outplayed Bournemouth in 5th place currently and playing very well. Should’ve also beat Fulham and went toe to toe with Spurs. These are not mirages these are games at home, where we have competed and equaled mainstay Premiership quality teams.

You are allowed to go through a bad patch or game or two whether that’s due to injuries or out of form players. Stach for example has been dealing with a broken rib and finger, then Tanaka who takes his place is out of form. No right winger due to injuries to James and Gnonto hence Aaronson’s forced inclusion.

Even Liverpool Champions went through a bad patch and now look like they’ve turned that corner.
Yes and we are not Liverpool, we do not have great quality in our team, we are basically a jigged up Championship team thrown in at the deep end of elite football.

In my estimation we are doing more or less what we are capable of, if not a bit better than that at this moment in time.
Farke’s last two seasons with us has got the best out of his players in the second half of the season, so for me I am quietly confident that performances will improve as the season gets longer.
Changing that may result in a catastrophe.

Agree vid. It’s a slippery slope.
Everton. First game of season at home. As I have said before fit grealish.
Arsenal we won’t change our dna smashed.
Newcastle who will soon sack their manager a bore draw
Fulham. Yep. Unlucky that one. You get them every now and then.
Wolves. Went behind but dug in v relegation fodder.
Bournemouth. Semi good performance. But hey ho there’s that bad luck that happens every now and then, again again.
Spurs. Dominated possession, shots and shots on target but er lost.

That can’t be bad luck again Shirley. Again again again.
Burnley. Well and truly beaten by supposed relegation guaranteed fodder.
Spam. Backs to the wall at home but we scrap a win. Against relegation candidates.
Brighton. Let’s play the same tactics as previous game v a better side away from home. Creamed.
That’s my op so far. Lot of bad luck there. But no balancing the books. Maybe not bad luck. Maybe self inflicted.

It does drive me mad when we have a free kick in a good position and then within seconds it’s back in our own half after two or so passes backwards. It even happens from corners occasionally!
I’m sure Farke thinks he’s Pep.

05 Nov 2025 13:44:51
Maybe with your new coach Aus matters spiral out of control as he tries to get a grip of his new job with all the pressures of a relegation battle that he may or may not have experienced before.

It’s very easy to trash talk all our previous games as you have done in your post and if you view them all that way then that is your opinion, it’s definitely not mine.

Fearless flamboyant football is great to watch as a spectacle Cork, great for the teams with huge amount of very expensive talent in their squad. Not every opportunity that we have in a advanced position is easy to continue onto goal, losing possession from these positions can lead to counter attack goals with the quality we face now, this is not the Championship anymore.

Farke is rightly so playing a pragmatic game as opposed to care free full attacking football.
Arsenal type results will be happening often if we play that way.

05 Nov 2025 14:52:21
Blimey OP, steady on son. Don't think the Corkster was asking for fearless flamboyant football, just a simple cross into the box, if we can't do that for fear of conceding a goal we really are in trouble!

05 Nov 2025 15:03:06
To repeat a salient data point.

Farke has won 1 away game for every time he has played top flight football. If we hired a new manager with that record, people would go ballistic.

Farke is right playing a pragmatic game? You do know we've lost those games, right? Are you paid by the club to be, and I don't mean to sound rude I just can't find the correct word, blind to the realities?

Not to mention Farke played Stach for three games knowing he had broken/ bruised ribs. Three games. Why? We have Tanaka warming the bench.

Absolutely moronic.

05 Nov 2025 15:34:00
I would like to add, Opti, don't change your opinions, it would be boring without that splash of positivity.

I may disagree with you but I respect your position and don't ever change

No homo.

thanks for saying that MoT - great to know this is just a friendly debate.

05 Nov 2025 17:00:33
Good for you Mot and glad to hear it, we’re all Leeds fans at the end of the day but it’s natural we have differing opinions of our club. Who knows if one is right and the other is wrong and who really cares?
Just a bit of banter about our club that we all love passionately.

05 Nov 2025 17:50:56
Thank you Vid. Well explained.,

05 Nov 2025 18:28:04
I think you know what I mean Vid, reading posts on hear it’s like we retreat all the time.
Posts often get exaggerated on here, both sides of the debates.

05 Nov 2025 19:01:56
OP you are a gentleman and a scholar, as are many on this site. As you say, it is all about interpretation and opinion and whatever that it is for the greater good of the Mighty Whites. All contributions are valid and welcome and let's face it, apart from what has passed we have no idea what is to come!

05 Nov 2025 19:41:15
The first 5 games we played seemed to play direct football.
Long kicks towards DCL, Ampadu took long throws and the keeper/ defence didn't fanny around with the ball as much (2 wins, 2 draws and the loss to Arsenal)
Why things have changed, only DF and the players know, but for me in ask why change a system that wasn't broken ??
But Leeds always like to do things the hard way ??.

05 Nov 2025 19:47:46
Exactly that op, we all have opinions and it's great to share them.
We're all passionate about Leeds and want them to succeed in anyway shape or form, even when those passions run a bit wild.
Again, no homo.

05 Nov 2025 21:33:34
Nice to know there’s no real bitterness amongst ourselves, it’s true the differences of our opinions can get a little heated on here but it is without any nastiness behind it. Those days have gone thankfully.

I’m hoping like all of us on here we get a well earned win this weekend against Forest.
That might ease the tension a little in all of us.
Onwards and Upwards.
